I really liked this drama from Eps 1-12 and I thought every little bit of it was beautiful and enjoyable, I never…
S1 was never written with S2 in mind. Even now, S2 is only CEO's wish. It may never happen. Wait until you have confirmation that PEB has signed on, though I have my doubts if she would.
I personally think this show was over hyped. I enjoyed the drama but it was just a regular tv series. No major…
For sure, there are dedicated fans for AoS in MDL. But the sentiments don't seem to be representative of the general viewing public, as reflected by Korean TV ratings, and Netflix numbers. EAW, being a "regular tv series", has more than 3x the streaming than AoS in Netflix. This "regular tv series" has also made it to the ALL TIME Top 10 Non-English TV show in Netflix; and we haven't even counted the last two episodes numbers.
Not surprising from all the haters. But MDL ratings ultimately don't count one bit, and I stop caring. What counts to PEB and the producer is real world TV ratings and Netflix viewership. It is already breaking records in Netflix, interested to find its final numbers in a few weeks.
*Spoiler free impressions* Started out strong but went downhill fast. After it finished airing it seems most people…
Just what you are looking for in this drama is different from the majority of the viewing public. I may fall in line with the billions of people, as I found most of the episodes very interesting, including ATM machines and road tolls. The key thing is that the whole drama is very enjoyable to watch from top to finish. It's the best drama for me in 2022.
https://twitter.com/xxpersi/status/1560628522187911168 regarding the status of S2
I have said this many times. Just a PR stunt by the CEO. How can it be "confirmed" when none of the cast or producer have signed on? The key contract obviously is PEB. The whole project won't happen until PEB signs on - and I am not sure if she would to be honest.
I think ppl praised this drama wayyyyy too much in the first few episodes and started to have standards that the…
They are simply expecting a different kind of drama, different kind of court cases. And that's fine, there are millions of viewers who love this show (and the court cases :) )
The fact that we got no junho back story over 16 episodes is so weird, the main lead and we still barely know…
Ha ha, not a crime. Don't get too serious here, I am not attacking you LOL. I don't feel showing his parents or his home or his family would have added to the drama. Maybe you feel differently. Those are done mostly as "filler", if it adds nothing to the character, I prefer them not included.
I won't base my watching decisions on the comments here at all.But since you have been pre-conditioned to not…
It's your choice obviously, but the opinions in the comments section here can be quite extreme and biased, something you should keep in mind. I would have missed a lot of brilliant dramas based on comments here. As for not "debunking", sometimes I won't bother replying if I know nothing I say can change that person's mind, and this applies for many people here LOL. With your background and your work in summer camp, I won't be surprised that you would encounter people asking you about the show. It made it to Top 10 TV shows in Netflix in Poland, I don't think that happens very often to a kdrama with no dub.

Why can't a character be judged from his current behaviour and reactions? Why does a character have to have a "background" story? He is just a normal guy with normal family and his love for WYW is pure. I don't need any parents dying from car accidents, or they met when they were a kid type of "background" story.
So, first of all I have not seen even one scene of the show, so this comment is not about the show, but rather…
I won't base my watching decisions on the comments here at all. But since you have been pre-conditioned to not like the show, you likely won't. If you just base on comments, you would have thought Alchemy of Souls would be the best Kdrama ever - but it is obviously not. So next time, always watch the show first before reading any comments. Pity, I think you would have enjoyed the show with your background. And it is one of the most viewed TV drama on Autism.
this is my views if you don't agree ignore me and reply to the others praising thisbut this was boring, flat characters,…
And that's ok. You are simply expecting a different kind of drama. Most of the cases are adapted from real cases in Korea. And yes, that's the type of cases you see in real life for most law firms. Not the murders, serial killers, drug dealers etc.
With the huge TV ratings and massive Netflix numbers worldwide, if this does not deserve a 9.2, I don’t know…
Actually, for Squid Game, it is quickly becoming one of the most (I believe it's THE MOST) awards nominated and awards won and most decorated in K-drama history. Including major prestigious award like the Screen Actors Guild Awards outside Korea. It's still not over yet, and it is the "Parasite" of the TV shows. So maybe your opinion is "trivially clear" not the case, but earning a major award from professionals like "Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards" may have more weights?
As for "if you paid attention", you shouldn't need to. Watching a drama is for enjoyment. As long as I am enjoying the show, there is no need to dissect, no need to over analyze. That's how most people watch drama.
Even now, S2 is only CEO's wish.

Watching a 16 episodes drama is very different from a novel.
Well said.

Only the CEO 's wish (and users' speculation like what you said above).
Until you see PEB signing on, S2 may not happen at all.

I always wait for that "wind blowing & whale jumping" moment in every case :)
