So they are going to make a S2 in 2024. I am not sure how I feel about this. While I would love to see all these…
Sounds like a premature PR stunt by the CEO. Sure, he wants a second season, but none of the main cast has signed on. So how can some reports claim "confirmed"? If PEB won't do another season, the whole project won't happen.
And all these worries about open ended S1 because of S2, the production of the whole S1 was done and finished well before they knew it was going to be so popular and such a massive hit; so it would be extremely unlikely that they would make an open-ended ending for S1. Guess we will find out tomorrow.
if you read her name read forward or backward, it will be pronounced the same. That's why she says words that are…
Of course we are talking about in Korean, Hangul. "Romanticized" is not Korean, is it? And the term "spelling" doesn't apply to Korean language very well. Spelling usually refers to sequential letters forming a word; and that's not how a Korean character is constructed. And when you say the word "토마토" - it is the same forward and backward. But for kayak, saying the syllable backward would be yak-ka. So it is not the same phonetically. So the English Palindrome only makes sense when you write down the letters and you can see it visually. But it does not work the same way verbally like Korean Palindrome.
Why so obsessed with numbers and ratings. Here this drama has no criticism until ep 12. Most of the criticism…
Because these are very impressive numbers, record breaking. This makes EAW a bona fide massive hit block buster k-drama in 2022. Something the EAW team can be very proud of. A drama making into the top 10 all time list is not something you see every often, and you don't know when and which next k-drama can make the list.
I am shocked by the onslaught of negative comments and hate here. This is proof that this sentiment is not shared by the majority of viewers globally.
Ratings, numbers, rankings are very important in Korea where you see all various types of ranking charts.
Another big weekly numbers just released from Netflix (Aug 8 to Aug 14). #1 Non English 69.3 million hours (3x that of 2nd place, highest for EAW) #2 Overall English + Non- English (behind The Sandman - which has 10 new episodes vs EAW's 2)
An even more impressive achievement is that it is now on the Top 10 list of ALL-TIME most viewed (during first 28 days) non-English TV shows! Currently #8 - 288.6 million hours would probably climb to #6 by next week.
It also overtook Hometown Cha Cha Cha as the 3rd most watched K-drama since June 2021 at 326.6 million hours (After Squid Game and All of us are dead).
You wouldn't think that these numbers are possible if you just read all the negative comments and the hates here.
It is even more discouraging when they find the disney+ doesn't have it available in their region.
Unfortunately, Disney+ is actively blocking VPNs. So it is hit and miss whether your particular VPN would work or not. Worse still, you could have half way through the series, and your VPN provider suddenly got blocked....
That is not true at all. There are many autistic people who support this drama and like the representation. No matter how you portray whatever condition, there will be people who are happy and there will be people who are not. Overall, there is more praise than criticism for EAW from the autistic community - at least that's my impression.
so a doubt who is jang uk really in love with??from sources we know that jung so min has not officially boarded…
No other soul shifter has two souls in the body. In all other cases, the original soul has gone to another body or is dead. So it is not surprising that Uk never thought about the original soul.
As this ends this week it’ll be interesting to see the reception for the drama in the comments afterwards. Usually…
Sad, but I may give up comments section in MDL altogether. There is an increasing disconnect between real world reception and the extreme opinions and hates expressed here. If people come here to check out the comments of the drama before watching, they may get a wrong impression of the drama which is destined to be one of the most watched and loved k-dramas in Netflix globally. I have also stopped recommending this site to other k-drama lovers.

Yes, Woo Young Woo is a Palindrome, and Korean Palindrome is a Phonetic Palindrome, which means it is pronounced the same forward and backward. When they do the translation, they use English Palindrome - unfortunately, English Palindrome is a spelling Palindrome, so it does not make sense at all when translated. So for English, the word is spelt the same forward and backward, but they don't sound the same. A better translation closer to Korean would be like To-ma-to, To-ron-to, but there is no such Palindrome in English.
I had high expectations for this drama because of all the hype, but I'm on episode 11 and just feel like I'm missing…
No drama would satisfy everyone. But ratings don't lie. It is projected to be among one of the most watched K-dramas in Netflix ever globally. And this is achieved without the benefit of English dub like Squid Game. This won't happen if many felt let down or drop watching the show.
This is probably the first kdrama that I enjoy, but as the series progress I have more and more concern. I only…
Is there really a "reason" for a romance in the drama? It's part of the story, and part of the character. I do think it is important for this story because it's something new for Woo and the challenge she has to face.
I see people changing their ratings from a 10/10 to a 2/10 or 3/10. Does it really get that bad?I read they want…
MDL ratings is pretty extreme (as of many comments and opinions here), and can be quite inaccurate. Of course, everyone is free to rate whichever way they like, but some would down rate severely just because they got triggered by certain aspect of the drama instead of rating it overall. For me, it's still a 10, loving every episodes so far. Maybe I am just enjoying PEB's performance. I haven't trusted MDL ratings for quite a while already.
For this type of drama, the overall impression is heavily dependent on one thing - when Big Mouse is finally revealed…
I hope too. But sometimes they try too hard to give it a big twist that no one could see it coming, so much so it makes less sense than what the audience speculated.
Suddenly after everyone had been praising this drama, now here comes those filing in calling it bland and not…
Luckily, the readers in MDL don't really reflect the general public opinion or popularity in the real world. So don't get bothered by all the haters here and the drop in ratings. EAW continues to do very well in Netflix around the world, and it is going to break some records, I hope. That's what matters, not the comments here.
But no, I enjoy every episode of S1.

This would ruin the show.

Because whoever is revealed to be the real Big Mouse, a portion of the audience and the users here would be disappointed.
