I usually end up dropping the produce shows half way, I've only completed the first two season of the original Korean PD101 and then PDX101 but this is the only one that I felt super attached to the girls. The final 35ish girls had my heart I was so upset to see some of them leave in the third and final rank evaluations. The screen time does make it quite biased and for Esther's musical talent being first right until the end where she got second is basically from her comedy and previously acquired fans but she definitely showed her improvement and passion. Despite that I love the final lineup and I will even continue to support and watch those who didn't make it grow in their music careers.

It is a happy ending but it's a little abrupt if that's okay, I wouldn't necessarily call it good though because it wasn't satisfying for all the previous episode we went through :)

bit of a shame because this couple from 'The Eternal Love' gave me expectations but I guess the story didn't allow for the same chemistry. I haven't watched the original so I can't compare on that though, for those who have seen it was it this draggy?

This is a show you'd binge starting because it's enjoyable but then proceeding to be purely because you want to finish the show asap. In the beginning I really enjoyed the characters and their developments but from when the girlfriend came back from Europe at the climax it went beyond downhill. Usually there would be the biggest obstacle for the main leads to overcome but they usually meaningfully overcome it however, the DRAGGING of the last few episodes just ruined it for me, it went from an 8.5 to 8 to 7.5 to 7.

honestly id say watch a couple episodes after the miscarriage, then just kinda skip to the end or watch every second or third ep. The last 5 or 6 episodes are the exact same things in different settings they just go around in the same circle of emotions at least three times

I think you can trust Steven Zhang, he was the ML in my huckleberry friends and he was a joy to watch. Looking forward to seeing him and Janice Wu together, they seem like such a fun pairing

you're welcome, and I agree. The skinship is pretty limited but I guess it isn't your typical romance. I finished this over a week ago and there's still a bit of my heart attached to it. The middle part was somewhat boring, they focused a lot on the politics of the show but then again it was to show how he was so focused on getting the throne and everything other than Xiaofeng.

The uncut version contains so many more scenes, I can't judge whether they are vital or not (as I have only just begun myself) but there are definitely or lot more and most people say they are important anyways. The uncut version is on youtube with Chinese subs so I'm using auto translate and watching alongside the cut version. Just to give you an idea of how much is cut with just the first few episodes. I am currently on episode 7 of the uncut version and only halfway through episode 3 of the cut version. 7 episodes worth of plot was cut into 2 and a half episodes. I suggest you go back and watch them if you haven't already.
