Title Cross Fire
Is this show mainly focused on just the game like The Kings Avatar or does it have other elements as well?
I literally JUST finished it. But yeah it's obviously focused on the esports but aside from that there are a lot of stories that come out of their experiences as rising esports players. We get to see bonds of friendship and family grow. The importance of loyalty and courage. Other than these meaningful messages we get thrilling aspects of mystery and suspense throughout the show as well. Then we have the rom-com aspects too for those who need a bit of romance. Not to mention the sci-fi themes as well. So yes there are other elements to the show.

I also started watching Lovestruck in the City before seeing the Korean version of A Love So Beautiful in the…
Yeah good idea. Her character in LITC is just so much more mature that I really can't bear to watch her act as an innocent high schooler hahah

I also think it's better to not watch two dramas with same main role actor simultaneously so I will watch lovestruck…
Thanks! Yeah I don’t think I’ll watch it until after I finish Lovestruck in the City. Also it’ll be hard not to compare to the original but I guess we can’t be too harsh on it, plus there’s no fun if it was exactly the same anyways. My expectations for this aren’t too high so maybe it’ll surprise me but I’ll come back to it later, maybe after it’s fully aired.

Yes!! I’ve been looking for a similar drama but I haven’t found it. I want to rewatch it like if it was the…
Have you watched Love and Redemption? It's not that similar, and imo does not beat this drama at all but it's still a good drama you could get invested in.

I haven't started this but judging from the comments I feel like I'll be disappointed. I enjoyed the OG Chinese one, it was one of my first Chinese dramas so I was wondering what the Korean Remake would be like but I guess you just can't beat the OG. Also kinda iffy with the casting here. I know the FL has a cute face but she's still looks like an adult to me. Like I'm watching Lovestruck in the City right now, suits the actress so much better imo, and I feel like watching both of these at the same time will mess up my image of her characters lmaoo. Well I haven't watched it so too early to judge, let me know if I should try or just sit this one out.

wow I am liking this drama so far. It's something different and refreshing from the typical formats and has great actors on top of that. It is kinda confusing on how this documentary thing works imo but it's still enjoyable. I am curious on how this will go

my eyes started to cry when LJB and DX broke up but i broke down when the dad wanted to take a family photo
I loved them together so much. And the dad omg I forgot to mention him. The dad was literally one of the sweetest and I'm so glad LJB got to meet him and learn about who he was through this event as he died before she was born

The only thing I don't like about Noona romances is really how insecure they portray the girl to be, which is understandable, just kinda frustrating. But judging from the trailers Won Jin Ah's character seems stronger, I also just love WJA (AND HER VOICE!!). As a JTBC drama I'm sure there will be a focus on social issues rather than fictional drama, but I hope they don't make it out to be a massive pressure on the woman where she becomes super insecure about the relationship. Either way I am looking forward to this drama and seeing Rowoon and Won Jin Ah on screen again.

I just finished this show, literally left in tears at 2:30am from the last two episodes, so if this passage doesn't make sense I'm sorry I am tired and emotionally exhausted lmaoo. When you first read the title "I don't want to be friends with you" it sounds like a typical rom-com until you realise that this is an exchange between a mother and daughter with a bond like best friends. I am a sucker for any coming of age/family drama that makes me attached to the characters as I watch them grow up. I wish we could see more exchanges between the characters at the end but I am still satisfied. I have to give an honourable mention to Duan Xiao, I loved his character from the beginning right through the end. He was just so refreshing, and his character was somewhat wise, he was definitely given the 'guide' persona for Li Jin Bu (I'm glad they give us a ray of hope for them at the end). As well as Chen Jun He, I never actually liked Wu Zhi Xun, so Chen Jun He was just great to me. I love relationships with playful banter like him and Li Qing Tong had. Anyways I wanted to write this without spoilers so I won't say much else except for the fact that this was a beautiful drama and if you are debating on watching I would 100% watch no doubt about it.

can someone hep me with why the ending was sad , i cried at the bit when mother and daughter were in the grandarents…
No, the daughter remembered her "dream" of the friends gathered at the table which made her emotional. But what made the mum cry is when she said that rather than being a daughter, she wanted to be friends with her mum. This is something they've talked about before, so she replied with the same thing "I don't want to be friends with you." They were crying just because of their deep emotional bond with each other, it wasn't sad, it was just emotional.

Title True Beauty
Same Same I feel SeoJun and JK dynsamic like hers and the brother
I've seen little spoilers of the webtoon so I can tell the drama is going a different way. I'm sure it'll end up as SH x JK so I agree that it'd be nice for SJ to make amends with SH first. With that friendship at least it won't seem like a total loss, because then he can support his two friends. But if they don't become friends.... well we're going to see either moody SJ or really sad SJ ;(

I thought that too. They could easily be the sibling kind of childhood friends, like they give off that energy. But at the same time it comes off as the childlike romance where you tease your crush kinda thing.

As someone who has not read the webtoon all my opinions are based solely off the drama and man I really do not know who to choose. The JK x SJ dynamic is just hilarious and so entertaining to watch, I love the banter and playfulness between them. Then we have JK x SH who have the childhood history, their own little world in the Manhwa Store, and a secret kept between the two of them (for now). At the moment I honestly will be happy with whoever she ends up with, I just hope that there's something good for the guy she doesn't end up with because they're both such great guys that I don't want to see either of them hurt.
