same, I thought her chemistry with Leo was soooooo sweet, they definitely hold a special place in my heart for…
I'm also on episode 15 currently, though you must've moved on by now. But I've seen her in eternal love as well sweet dreams back in 2018 (which tbh I wasn't that big of a fan of but just my drama preferences) but she's grown a lot since I first started I think. I can't wait for them to get together as well, I totally agree with their mature cuteness, they're just so sweet and you can see how much they care for each other already. So excited.

Oh 100% I'd love some recommendations, I have some final exams in less than a couple months but after that I'm free to binge as much as I want so I am in the process of growing my 'Plan to Watch' list hahhahah

Welcome to glory journey.. Honestly, I watched TLB after I found out that Reba would be starring in this drama..…
No don't worry not offensive at all :))
I totally agree the chemistry in each is different, and that's why I can enjoy both without thinking "omg they're the same person" because the stories are just two completely different worlds. TLB was definitely a lot more about her journey from revenge to creating a peaceful kingdom/empire, her love line with Ashile Sun was just a result of working together (Was still a beautiful pure love story to watch nevertheless) but wasn't actually a big part of the plot at all and the show could have even survived without it (though that would've disappointed many of us lmaoo) whereas I can see in YAMG the relationship between the leads is very much the focus, and that is fun too. I've watched a few episodes now and I really am enjoying. Thank you for your reply!!

She's literally such a good actor, I have only seen a few of her works but they're all different and she plays all her roles really well. Look forward to watching the rest of this and possibly her future shows too

Ahhh really... you've made me more excited for the show I've watched three episodes already and they've only just met again and they're already looking sweet... anticipating the rest of the story already

Oh my god... I just watched The Long Ballad with Dilraba recently and couldn't get over her story with Leo because it was just so beautiful. But the comments on here are saying similar things about the couple here and I want to watch but you know how when you watch one show with the same actor it's hard to move on to the next. BUT I'm going to start it anyways because her characters seem different and FREAKING YANG YANG. Honestly I've only seen him in Love O2O but definitely can tell he is very popular (rightfully so) and it'll be nice to watch him in another role finally, with a new female lead and I love Dilraba so I think I'll enjoy this

I was one of those people in the beginning like "why is the drama rated so low" and the next few episodes were promising after that and I was happy to see the rating go up. Now... PLEASE I AM TIRED. This show could've been so so so much better but it turned the realistic toxic cycle into a cliche tiring toxic cycle where you want to roll your eyes at the lead every episode. Neither JE nor NB went through any character development in my opinion which is what I was hoping this show would be about. Unfortunately this show fell far from my expectations and I'm rather disappointed, especially because I usually love jtbc dramas for their plots and characters (but NB and JE barely even had a personality in this show lmaooo). The supporting characters definitely got me through this show and stole the spotlight for me since I was so tired of watching the leads, thank god it was only 10 episodes. Now I'm sitting here waiting for snowdrop, I'm hoping with snowdrop jtbc picks up their game, and with such great cast my expectations are higher for that. But you know what, I'm sure it'll at least beat this. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed in this show.

As an Indian living in Australia I totally understand that thinking. I definitely do think those actions are more normalised in Asian countries unfortunately it is very deeply rooted in their strong traditions. Compared to Western traditional beliefs, Asian traditional values are very much part of our identities to this day, even for me as an Indian growing up in Australia. Asian society is still in the middle of developing open mindedness with future generations. We've always been more conservative, so of course it's going to take much more time to reach the same social mindset as western countries, though that will take forever as western countries also continue to grow their mindset because we of course haven't reached a place where everyone is satisfied yet. But yes it is outdated, but if you think about the growth in general they are working towards it. I also feel like we focus a lot on the negatives regarding Asian social beliefs when you grow up in a Western country and don't really appreciate the beauty of their traditional values, as much as there's things Asians can learn from the Western mindset, there are still many things I believe westerners could learn from Asians.

Though I'm not too sure about that part of korean culture myself (I am not Korean) but from what I understand getting slapped or assaulted in any way by coworkers or bosses is 1000% abuse. Some characters might just deal with it because they need to keep their job but I believe that is unacceptable in Korean culture just as it is in other cultures. Though it's unacceptable it may not necessarily be uncommon. Workplace harassment is an issue around the globe but I'm sure it is universally considered unacceptable and should not occur. However when you watch tv shows its obviously dramatised for the effect which is why they may not be getting in trouble straight away until the main character fights against it lmaoo

Off topic. This is a question for Koreans, Why do Koreans drink so much alcohol? I know every country drinks alcohol,…
I feel like it's also part of the social culture. It seems to be very normal for workplaces to go out for dinner and drink with their bosses. Between men it can be a test of manliness, like who has the higher alcohol tolerance. The usual drinking with friends for fun type of youthful vibe with drinking games, or drinking away your sorrows at some bar lmao, this one is also common in western culture I guess though. I don't think social drinking is really all that classy in Korea, it's more about getting closer to who you're drinking with, or even showing a sort of respect, like sharing a drink with a boss or a parent, pouring each others glasses is a very common scene you see in dramas. Saying no to going out for a drink can be rude (unless for religious or medical reasons of course) because it might seem like you don't want to get close to this person. Plus even if they get super drunk they have plenty of hangover cures to be taken before, during or after that can be found in convenience store and, it's usually taken with heavy dinners to balance the alcohol effect. Sorry for the super long explanation but to sum it all up from what I've seen, it's just part of the social culture, and though I'm sure no one in Korea is thrilled about seeing a smashed out drunk person, it is probably perceived as very normal because of this social culture.

Usually I watch variety shows for the guests but this is the first time I don't care who the guest is because the cast interactions are enough for me, they don't even need a guest and I'll watch (though it is funny to see guests get flustered over what all the girls are doing/saying) anyways I look forward to this each week, always having a nice meal while I watch so I don't starve while I watch them eat delicious looking things

I "was" prepared to support Keiju 100%, but whyyy!!!??? Why?!!! Why you have chosen my bias' former company huhuhuhu.…
Totally agree, I think JYP mentioned himself somewhere about how things changed around inside JYP with handling artists. Kinda forgot where so I'm not really credible here but you can really see the difference between skz and got7 like I totally forget they were from the same company sometimes. Got7 did very well despite the issues with the company but it definitely wasn't enough to survive that 7 year curse, the members were clearly tired of the company as well but definitely seeing the improvement with skz

NOT THE 12 !!!! TWELVE ,, T W E L V E YEARS OLD PSY PLEASE
No because I was actually so shocked when he called Koki, because they said they were going to be debuting within a year right? Only 13 by then... and as much as skills is important I think the team visual and balance is important too. Like this tiny kid amongst grown teens, and then him also being babied by all the older guys, I don't know if I'd like that but I mean Psy himself said he would check the balance in the next round right... we'll see I guess.

No need to thank me this drama totally deserves it. I heard the ratings were low when it was first airing and I don't understand why but maybe they were just too quick to judge. It's great to see the ratings go higher as more people watch, and I see this drama has such loyal and enthusiastic fans happy to see it get the recognition it deserves. I totally understand filming during the pandemic would be hard yet they still did amazing. And I agree I love the smaller choreographed battles like the one you mentioned. Definitely a well crafted, high quality show.

I rate mainly based on my enjoyment but this time I am so impressed by everything this show had to offer. I was already well aware of the main casts abilities, and they shone brightly in this one. Especially impressed with Lusi (or Rosy) as I usually see her play playful characters in rom but she showed her character development so well here. In fact the detailed stories for every character with a name in this show is amazing. The support characters who were only there for a maximum of 10 episodes (not even for some) left a great impression, her first apprentice, Xiao Wu, the lady manager at the weaving store, Monan's Princess, the Yanxing Sect. I have not watched a Chinese historical since The Story of Minglan and this one did not disappoint. Though I wish we saw more battle scene rather than the comic style pictures, they really took away the emotions in the scenes sometimes but honestly for me that was the only bad thing. I was debating whether to give it a 9.5 or a 10 but you know what, some of the shows I gave a 9.5 can't compare to this lmaoooo so a 10 it is

huh... she is literally dressed as a male half the time??
I mean fair enough not for the whole show, but she did for a while she just got found out, but she tried to hide her gender for at least the first arc. Continued to do so as she saw fit. But yeah it's not a super important part to the story I guess
