WIJ/HJP crumbs: The sexy power couple that never was :(https://twitter.com/flymetothemarsz/status/1320716221877157888https://twitter.com/rr_khn/status/1319547478912331782
Honestly these two could have taken the main leads and become the otp of the drama and I would not have questioned it lmaooo
ohh I wish your start up best of luck!! And I agree, if it was too realistic it wouldn't have the inspirational…
Yeah this year has been tough for everyone, I know the motivation for productivity has been so low, especially for those in quarantine or self isolation. I agree that this drama was a feel-good drama that really tried to give a sense of hope and encouragement to the viewers. HJP was definitely a charm to the drama, and honestly his story didn't bother me too much but it was sad that he did kinda miss out. Either way I was happy with the drama
Really enjoyed this as someone on the higher spectrum ( It's a 9/10), I understand some people hated the plot…
ohh I wish your start up best of luck!! And I agree, if it was too realistic it wouldn't have the inspirational message they wanted to convey. As someone who is at the time of their life where I need to make decisions for my future, this really motivated me to get up and actually do something, don't let the odds defeat me, and pushed me to work a little harder. I feel like if they made the plot too real I wouldn't be too interested because a lot of us watch dramas to see that idealistic life and gain hope that you could have a fraction of the beautiful story in your own life.
For everyone who is debating whether or not to watch bc of the mixed reviews, I say that if you're interested in the family, friendship, business development, you know the whole fighting for your aspirations thing ALONGSIDE the romance then yeah sure I would recommend this. If you just want a romance though this isn't for you, especially if you're going to get frustrated over who deserves the girl, don't let the romance plot ruin this story for you (though personally I din't mind the romance plot, I mean minus the love triangle)
It's nice to read reasonable comments like yours. In fact, all the characters of this drama has flaws and each…
Exactly. The love triangle really brought down the quality, bc otherwise the plot would've had so much potential for growth in characters but anyways honestly it was SO much more bearable than others out of the dramas I've seen.
Also definitely agree with the flawed characters. Now I love HJP, Kim Seon Ho, they're great, have my heart. But he's (HJP not talking about KSH) not the perfect man that many people who love him make him out to be. He was in fact full of himself, really was not so trusting to anyone, and always put himself first (of course unless it was to do with SDM and her grandma). These have its advantages but also its disadvantages.
There are also people complaining about how going against their mentor is not something that should be done. But let's face it, if they listened to him they'd just become some unacknowledged cogs working for a larger company. At least even after the team split, most of them could make a name for themselves. I understand how in reality that could be risky, (though personally I try not to relate dramas to reality bc no matter how realistic they portray it to be, it really is just a fantasy world where everyone is happy) and going against your mentor is not something you should teach. But in my opinion rather than that, they're trying to say "don't let people who keep telling you that you can't stop you."
Honestly if they didn't give HJP such an emotional back story and character depth, he would've just been that side mentor who thinks he knows the best until the juniors succeed and he realises his flaws and grows with them etc. Anyways I do think people should stop hating on SDM and NDS just because of HJP because all of them had their flaws.
woah the reviews on this show are so much lower than I expected. Like damn I love HJP more than NDS too but it didn't ruin the show for me. I did rate the show higher than most people would but I wouldn't go below an 8.
Personally would've preferred that HJP's feelings towards SDM was more sibling like. I mean SDM's grandma treated him like her own grandson so would've made sense in my opinion. Then none of the angst or mad shippers. HOWEVER, I still don't think that the drama is THAT bad. Like yes it's unrealistic that everything went their way with their "incompetency" but it's a drama what do you expect. If they kept failing and suddenly succeeded it'd be even worse. And if they kept failing and still failed then what's the point in the show lmao. As for character development, sighh.... I guess the HJP problem did kinda ruin this a bit by making both SDM and NDS look a lot less strong then they were made out to be, and then also making unnecessary problems for HJP Stans as we KNOW he wouldn't be accepted by SDM. But I guess I'll gloss over it by saying they're still developing. After the 3 year time skip both of them were still hurt bc they didn't talk it out back then, whilst the others moved on and grew SDM became more cautious and scared of her ambitions as it cost her her team in the past, which is why she became a lot less strong-willed. As for NDS I guess SDM was his push for confidence so her words when they broke up stuck to him, so even though his technology got big his personal self-confidence was lower. So my conclusion is that sure maybe they didn't grow much in those three years but after they met again they helped each other become a better person. You can disagree with me if you will, please remember it's just my opinion.
ALSO comments about NDS toxicity for lying, can we just also remember that SDM's grandma and HJP both were in on this too. HJP also kept this a secret as long as NDS did so that was a toxic plot line I was not happy with between all 4 of them actually that was awful. Yes it was toxic, but as much as we love HJP, he was also part of that let's not all gloss over him and throw all the blame on NDS. Also the grandma kept that for 15 whole years like come on they're all a little toxic for that.
Anyways guys, this drama has such varying opinions, so it'd be fun to talk to you guys. If you agree or disagree feel free to reply I love talking on here :))
just wait until the final episode. if it is happy ending, this drama is worth. but if sad ending, you can watch…
yeah I was planning on waiting until the end so I can binge instead of waiting in frustration haha but alright guess I'll come back for the reactions in a few days and decide then
I watched the first three episodes when they came out and got sick of the characters, so I put it on hold and waited to see the reactions showing if it got any better, but I see frustration even now. Should I drop this or actually give it a go?
Thanks for putting me in that 1% I guess. I also apologise that I didn’t entirely read their reply before, it is definitely wrong to group Jisoo into the “idols can’t act” category before having seen her act at all, I was judging from the initial comment. I’ll also leave it here, but I don’t think anyone should be thinking of any ‘stan’ group or whatever as superior. This is the first time I’m ever seeing that opinion and it’s quite dumb imo. As both a kpop and drama stan both are equally as entertaining and fun. Let’s not suck the joy out of them by calling either worse or better than the other, and be a happy community that doesn’t drag each other :))
I literally said we should trust the staff’s opinion for letting her act, like you’re literally agreeing with me idk why you’re making it sound like I said something bad. I didn’t even state a “shitty” opinion and I didn’t even judge her, like if you could just read what I said “it’s not like I don’t support her” and “We hope for the best for the drama and if that's what the staff thinks is best for the drama then we have to trust them.” As for the “kpop fans are immature” I don’t actually think they are, I think it’s people who unfortunately get attention for unnecessarily attacking others that give kpop fans a bad reputation sometimes. We never said or think that drama stans are superior, no stan is superior to anyone, people should just like what they like and move on. What we’re arguing about is that you think we had a bad opinion of Jisoo which we absolutely DO NOT have, because we literally haven’t seen her act a big role before. As stated multiples times it was a genuinely surprised reaction, and the person who made the original comment can correct me if I’m putting words in their mouth, but I’m assuming it meant ‘I wasn’t expecting Jisoo, that’s cool, I wonder why they chose her?’ NOT what you’re interpreting as ‘why Jisoo, she can’t act’ like we never said that. If they actually did mean to put down Jisoo that is wrong but I don’t think they did.
Uhh I'm sorry to intrude but I really don't understand why you're getting so cut. @lov__lymj didn't say anything stating that they didn't want Jisoo to act or that they didn't like her acting, it was literally just a question out of being surprised. Like let's be honest it's rare that for a drama like this, the main role would go to someone who hasn't experienced a main role before. But that doesn't mean they or I don't support her. We hope for the best for the drama and if that's what the staff thinks is best for the drama then we have to trust them. I just think it's really unnecessary for you to drag someone who meant absolutely no harm and try to hurt them when they literally didn't do anything to you or to anyone (including Jisoo). When people say Kpop fans are immature, it's people like you who make them seem like that, and it's really unfortunate because there are such wonderful Kpop fans out there. My comment might be meaningless to you seeing as their personal replies can't even put some sense in to you but I just want to support them because what you're doing is so unnecessary.
I mean I wouldn't say they're better than LAR (and I don't know if you've already seen them obvs) but here are…
Wait I realised my comment sounds like I think LAR is better but I haven't even watched TMBFY yet HHAHAHA. I was comparing LAR with the recommendations I said. Anyways I was debating whether or not to watch this but you might have just sold it to me since I think quite highly of LAR so what you said means I might enjoy this :)) good timing I've been meaning to find a completed drama to start
I just finished it last night and I still can't move on >.< Although the rating for LAR is higher and more people…
I mean I wouldn't say they're better than LAR (and I don't know if you've already seen them obvs) but here are some drama you could binge or just sit and enjoy until you find something better to watch. Costume dramas: I've fallen for you, the romance of Hua Rong, Legend of yunxi, the love by hypnotic, the Changan youth, Goodbye My Princess *my heart 3*, The eternal love 1&2, ashes of love Others (coming of age, rom-coms, friendship, youth): when we were young, lovely us, gank your heart, my unicorn girl, my love enlighten me, because of you, with you and my huckleberry friends just off the top of my head. I mean I didn't give them all really high ratings personally but I could still enjoy them as a pass time. some are nice to sit and binge, but anyways you might've already watched them all lmaoo
In my opinion I think it's because she didn't see the same love he had for her that he used to have. He loved…
No problem!! It is really sad and I'm sure if they had talked more it could have resolved some problems, but they also could never forget the past. I think of it like one of those "the right person but the wrong time" situations. But at the same time you could disagree and say it was the right time but too inexperienced because she was the experience that allowed him to grow, he was the experience that taught her to value herself and showed her what true love is. Anyways the movie was beautiful despite the bittersweet ending
Also definitely agree with the flawed characters. Now I love HJP, Kim Seon Ho, they're great, have my heart.
