I saw a lot of comments on this drama and that is why I decided to give it a try.I think the best of this drama is the cinematography and the actors, the director and the actors did a great job! I didn’t like so much how the story unfolded, the first half didn’t happen so much but then the second half happened everything that is why I found myself struggling in some episodes. Also, I really liked Changyu and Qimin they were my favorite characters as they were very complex and the actors did an amazing job portraying them. And as for the ML I quite understand why there was such accusation, I think most of the characters were showed fighting but for the ML they didn’t show so much and I think the fighting scenes lacked a little bit, that is why I don’t think is the actor’s fault but the production and I couldn’t help compare this general with others fighters like LLTG, rise of the phoenix or the rebel princess and I think the character dressed too pretty.Overall good drama!
am I the only person annoyed by the way they changed the soundtrack when Junpyo remembers Jandi in the last ep? they change it in Netflix and Viki 😭 if I want to rewatched it I have to search it in YouTube from a video uploaded 10 years ago… only old school will understand what I mean hahah
It’s been a while since I enjoyed so much a Korean period drama, now I will watch second part, I hope I like it as much I liked this one! I need to highlight the soundtrack is amazing, everything is but I just love the music they used.
i gave this 9/10 because this is a really really great series.i need to speak first about the cinematographic…
I think it was quite amazing how they tried to tell us the relationship between the two main leads was terrible, by the news or by the comments even by the behavior Iko started to show, and it was something new because I know Japan has different movies or series about this same topic but they are shown as romantic. However, I could tell they were trying to tell us everytime that was wrong! As I said this, I think people focused a lot of this issue to miss the rest of this, from what I feel the writer wanted to convey what is good or bad for the world and how we are slaves from this, good is to be married and have kids, have a stable job, and love the people your closed one’s tell you to. But our female did everything that is seen bad in this society she wanted to break stereotypes and be free. Honestly I felt so bad for FL, I’m 27 yo and as her I feel lost, sometimes I don’t know what I want to be and get worried because I’m stuck in a safe place but I’m not happy. Also, I saw some comments saying FL is pathetic or dumb, and that was so scary because someone who still hasn’t found herself and makes mistakes in her process to find her own place and happiness, people find that as pathetic. The things she did to Iko are not ok, but a comment saying thank God the boyfriend had a happy ending left me (???) we do see as good people someone who doesn’t cheat but does not really try to make his partner happy and a bad person who tries the best to have a good relationship but cheats at the end? Having the FL as the villain then the rest are good? No, all the grownups in this drama were fucked up, but this is people we see in real world. This left me thinking a lot about the stereotype the world has made for women.
i gave this 9/10 because this is a really really great series. i need to speak first about the cinematographic and the soundtrack, a m a a i n g! the director did a wonderful job, I really liked how this was filmed and what they did comparing the main story with the movie at the end of the credits. As for the story I wish they wouldn’t have touch such sensible topic and less show sex scenes between an adult and a minor however:
my comfort drama ❤️ I think I have watched both season more than 30 times! I see a lot of comments saying this overrated but in my opinion it depends if you are in the mood of this type of genre!
I will give this 8.5 points because the actors and the the director, they did an amazing job! the story is good but after 6 episodes sometimes I caugh myself wanting to finish this quickly so I can watch another thing.
it’s been a while since I watched a historical Chinese drama but I was very pleased and I wasn’t disappointed! All the actors did a good job, the cinematography and the soundtrack was good but I must praise the writing, it was very exciting and I didn’t skip any scene in case I was going to miss something important. my only complain is the way Xie Wei treated sometimes Xuening, they showed us how much he loves her but some actions were a big no. I understand the purpose of the acting in the scene to show us the type of character Xei Wei is but playing romantic music behind is just like romantizing that behavior. Anyway, I recommend this drama! P.s. Yan Lin and Zhang Zhe stole my heart, they are just perfect :c
I see I wasn’t the only one affected by Netflix removing it. This is one of my favorite shows and I need to see my drama queen Ning Yi in HD for the last time :c
