right!! I was thinking the same. In episode 35, there's that spider analogy & then immediately after that, WN tells him she's pregnant. I thought that was done on purpose because that's obviously his ticket in.. what exactly is he doing 😭

this is driving me insane too, I've already made a few other comments about it 😭 I think these people are suffering from recency bias, like since WN is suffering in the present & we just learned her backstory, it makes people 'forget' how much XFF has suffered. or maybe I'm giving them too much credit and they're just all crazy 😅

I also think that XFF & Wanning are great contrasts of each other. I saw a twitter post that described Wanning as "XFF's inner rage", and I think that perfectly describes their connection. To add onto that, we can describe XFF as "Wanning's inner purity", since now we know why she's so obsessed with it.

I'm seeing so many people saying things along the lines of "Wanning's behavior is understandable" like.... no it's not?? It's totally fine to feel sympathy for her. The fact that she makes you feel sympathy is a sign that she's a good, three-dimensional character. But that's where it should end. You should not understand her actions. You should acknowledge that she has trauma and it has caused her to end up like this, but to go so far as to blame XFF for being cruel to her... god.

I was thinking the same thing!!! They keep showing us these ~tragic backstories~ but they lose their impact for me bc we have the FL, a shining example of how one should act in response to a tragic situation.
