Agreed about 2 ML. Not a bad guy, but his inaction for all that time did him no favors. And in all honesty if he was friends with her, he saw her true character. If he was unsure about all the gossip he had heard concerning her then he should have asked her about it.

The novel I read was on Mydramanovel.com and she became empress of Susha and had a child. Jingshi was emperor of Jinxiu. His storyline was completely different. FSG sister died. And FSG of course was emperor. Honestly my opinion is the novel was a mess and the drama was far better.

Agreed. Plus as emperor he would have to marry concubines. I hate that in the novel he chose to do that and FYX wasn’t on board but finally he wore her down till she agreed. I like the drama much more than the novel version. the ending was perfect.

Very true. I think this show does a really good job of showing her pain at all the betrayals and I don’t blame her for it. However, it does show how vengeance and revenge can twist us to a point where we no longer think coherently. I want her to find peace not just so Khem can survive but for herself so she can finally lay everything to rest.

I saw a clip where they drank crossed cup wine which usually is in weddings, but since they are in normal attire I think it signifies their unity in being together forever. So I don’t think it’s a sad ending. Even the novel had a good ending for them.

True. The drama is way better than the novel. I felt the novel was such a mess.
