calling this a BL is a stretch. i like it, but this is slice of life found family PRIMARILY. and the gay romance is anything but what you’d imagine from a BL

It only works out here because the characters are lucky enough to have around them people who arent truly bad, or alternatively bad people who make a miraculous turnaround that only fiction can produce.
I feel the same way. The script really did Bai Lu wrong. Overall, it was quite mediocre. What made it even worse…
im mixed on the “unsatisfying judgement” part. on one hand i get what they are trying to say, and it could’ve been interesting in the hands of better writers. especially better character writers
maybe im wrong but based off looking up what a bl is, its more than just a story featuring a gay couple getting together, isnt it?
the leads’s chemisty and competence tried to carry but this is in no world more than a 7/10
