Tbh, it's the same for me.I love both of the main leads and their work. So i also had these high expectations…
yes exactly. im also incapable of dropping a bai lu drama so ill be here until the end hoping it will all be worth it. i hope this part of the drama is misleading us intentionally and it will pay off! fingers crossed 🤞🏻
You know I also thought so but we have to acknowledge that if he had said he didn't see them the maid would've…
you cant know about rape and such sure, but he knows he is volatile based off their first interaction. second he is a modern person who was schooled in a modern system so im sure like all of us he could’ve made some educated inferences on the lives of women during these times. he couldve said he didnt see anything because he (insert clever lie here) but this character isnt clever, or wise, or anything in particular. which is why i dropped this bl. i dont like stories with characters that feel bland. ofc thats a personal standard thing he might be a rich character to some.
i finally caught up and this show and SHOULD it be so obvious? i feel it shouldnt but im unsure since ive not seen many detective type cdrama. im mostly watching as a bai lu stan. but its too obvious so far
I honestly don’t get why people are downvoting this drama. It’s one of the most perfect mystery/suspense drama…
i personally like it, but with reservations. why? so far every “twist” was very obvious, every mastermind telegraphed from almost the start of the mystery. i think it wasn’t supposed to seem so obvious in a show of this genre, but if someone can perhaps convince me it was supposed to be so obvious and that it will all build up to something then i feel very open to that too!
so far im slightly disappointed but only cos i had such massive expectations.
i can tell its well made, acted, produced etc. im just failing to connect deeply with it. none of the emotional tragic beats elicited more than a “aw poor thing” type of reaction. and im usually a very easily immersed, fast to cry viewer.

so idk, maybe i need to let it cook
