also i read some comments about minato’s immaturity but i dont read it as immaturity, i read it as a severe case of denial because he genuinely doesnt want his feelings go there… and honestly thats the only thing making this watchable for me.

ahhh…. couldnt he have been at least 18? god japan and its japan-isms. theres no reason to make this as uphill of an uphill battle as it is by making him a minor! wasnt the big age gap enough of a taboo?! seriously japan why do you love playing this particular game over and over and over again

haha it was fun reading your crash outs! I guess I won't start this series yet. xd
if you are a forgiving viewer, it might work for you. but you gotta be exceptionally forgiving.

glad my crashouts had some entertainment value lol. the way this started i thought would make it an all time fave, i love yinwar, they are good actors and i find that rare in thaibl. but even they cant save something so badly written.

may su yin rot.
dw i wished for Huai En to rot plenty, tho in the end Su Yin was the least likable to me

Title Unveil: Jadewind Spoiler
AHHH gotta say!! im the first to complain that how they unfold the mystery is too obvious BUT the thematic work…
also, to me it seems they are saying that the two musician ladies were in a relationship. they wanted to be together forever, they saught each other’s glances even when the prince was also there. it seems a censored implied gay love to me. do you all agree?

AHHH gotta say!! im the first to complain that how they unfold the mystery is too obvious BUT the thematic work here is really good! i love what the commentary here is saying.

100% yes haha they give me YanWuShi x ShenQiao vibes (and the fact that they decided to end the series with a…

i got way past that point before dropping. when you know your preferences and standards its good to listen to them. you will make similar calls for yourself if you haven’t already. knowing what i like isnt unfair to a fictional character, its fair if anything. that show was not made for me, its good for both the show and I for me to identify that as soon as possible.

Obvious what?
i agree, i focus on themes and i enjoy it. but for me the twists are telegraphed miles ahead so i try to not focus on that for entertainment anymore

I couldn’t recognise one bearded middle age guy to the next so it wasn’t too obvious to me lol
lol well thats anothing issue entirely 💀lmao

This show doesn't try to be too mysterious with its suspects and the potential ending of the cases. The real stuff…
and thats why i still enjoy it! it has lots going for it.

you seem to say the twist along the way as if you understood i didnt include those under the obvious umbrella but i did. its a little disappointing but when i focus on the rest, as you advise, i enjoy this!

i personally like it, but with reservations. why? so far every “twist” was very obvious, every mastermind…
totally, but this series have more tells they leave obvious than others. sometimes it feels they highlight those tells, which is why I suspected it was supposed to be obvious cos its the start and its building twards something. now idk.

but yeah i bet this is better for those its not obvious who/what/where/when anything is done.

What do you mean obvious? I mean, they just completed the case with the princess and I had no idea she was still…
well maybe it depends on how much story of all kinds you ingested over time, but i could tell (because there were execution cues) that not only was she not dead, she had ample reason to be the mastermind from the get go. and since then all villains, masterminds, who is dead and who isnt, who is lying, all have been obvious to me.

mind you its not like i am twist proof, i genuinely feel this is particularly obvious if you know anything about plot structure.

as one who has watch this genre of cdrama, I have seen similar cases in other dramas. Yes they are too obvious…
yeah i love watching bai lu so im also enjoying it and will never drop it but man it feels like baby’s first detective plotting. who wrote them, you know? but the character work & acting is good and i anticipate ill get more and more invested.
