yeah…. no the actions the characters take, the ridiculous leaps in logic, its all nonesense and an amateur’s concept of angst and drama.

this series is fundamentally bad. and its a shame cos the starting point of each character is very compelling and so are their archetypes/dynamics.creators simply dont know how to tell a character driven story to save their lives.

i dunno if i can tolerate the absurdity of it all. not that its not realistic, it may be, people tend to be absurd.
but i cannot stand parents like that nor can i be convinced the love their kids

i despise the parents in this and the sons devotion to them despite insane levels of cruelty and disregard (from the parents to the sons)

that said, you may be correctly identifying its not your thing, and at least that is good and valid

all i can surmise is that you have low attention span and low attention or care for details. this is entirely wrong.

i think she thinks he is up to something, something big enough her plans will need to account for it so she must know.

i think thats a core reasons why conflict dont work so far, after all every action a character takes characterizes them.

hm i try not to do that cos i dont believe in rating things under that principle but i often get tempted to. but i try to be consistent with my experience with the drama.

also lu si tong is letting the main pair slightly down with his performance

is this really wirth it? only halfway through and i like the characters and concept but most conflicts seem entirely avoidable. mind you im not someone against misunderstandings as a literary device at all, but you have to make it really convincing that there’s something preventing them from resolving it and that cannot be something flimsy otherwise it feels silly and hard to take their love/consequences/etc. seriously

this is rated too low for how good it is and i speculate its entirely because it asks much patience. have some darn patience guys you are missing out

so, if you are confused and cant sit with that to give the show time to do its thing, this isnt for you.

but this show is intended to be that way, and will pay it off. i dunno why people have so little patience.

this is a very very impressive and complex execution. you are not the only one confused AND its by design. let it happen and pieces will fall into place until all is clear.

theres more there than sheer beauty (even tho her face can be called one of the great beauties of the world).

what i find most captivating about her is the amount of “life” and sparkle behind her eyes. you can literally see the gears turning behind them and it makes her extremely compelling. her gaze is rich with hints on the characters she plays, huge asset
