He was homophobic for a significant part if I recall. But just because of the trauma of His father cheating on his mom with another man not because he hated lgbtq people really

They removed a significant plot line for JT but I guess they did it well at least .

I think it’s more enjoyable if you know all the arcs being covered. The movie was pretty short in that sense. For me , This is hard to rate … it started at 8.5 and ended at 7
Maybe it felt so disjointed because I didn’t read the manga.
