This drama was fun to watch, and I really loved the relationship between Byun So Ra and Kang Chan Jin. They are pretty much why I liked it as much as I did. But I am a little disappointed with this drama because I feel like it strung me along to want something that I didn't get. I felt disappointed in the end.
On Sassy Girl, Chun Hyang Jun 5, 2012
This drama was funny to me because of the music. In particular, EVERY TIME Uhm Tae Woong came on-screen, the same. song. would play!! Once I noticed, I couldn't stop paying attention to it, so it became like a joke to me. It could be a drinking game. Aside from that though, it wasn't bad. Not particularly good, but not bad.

I agree with Moondancer. It's not a standout drama, but it was pretty cute and fun to watch. Not a bad way to spend your time.

This drama is SO BAD that it's kind of worth watching!! Everybody should watch and see how bad it is because it's so bad that it's funny!

Hmm I see a lot of Jung Il Woo fans... Am I the only one who fell for Kang Hyuk a.k.a Mr. Tall-As-A-Tree?? Haha…
OMG! I agree with this comment 100%!!! And I was going to reply to this before I realized who you were! :)

You know what JUST BARELY saved this drama for me? Kim Ba Eul. I freakin' LOVED that character! SO DANG CUTE! Otherwise, this is one of those throw-away dramas that you binge watch on a rainy Saturday when you have NOTHING else to do. hahaha! That's about all it's good for. I had forgot that I even watched it.

Wasn't that kiss HOTT (with TWO t's)!? Yay! I'm glad it's coming around for you! *does a little happy dance* The OST IS nice, huh? I didn't really notice until you said it. I'll have to pay more attention. Have you seen the drama "Mary Stayed Out All Night"? That drama had an awesome OST, too. It's the only drama where I actually downloaded the music and listened to it regularly.

Separately, King 2 Hearts has been on hold. I'm still enjoying it, but after I gorged it like that and watched like six episodes in a row, I grew a tad weary of it. I just flipped back to Inhyun instead for an "intensity" break. :)

Lee Seung Ki is such an interesting actor for me though. At first glance, I always think, "yeah buddy, NOT into you." Same feeling in Gumiho. But somewhere along the course of the drama, he turns up the heat and suddenly I'm practically in love with him! Now that's talent!!

Well, I don't know! Maybe Gumiho will be the one Lee Seung Ki drama you don't like! haha!! *nervous*

About Inhyun, I like the female lead because of her bold nature. Female leads in dramas hardly ever make the first move. And she did it TWICE. That impressed me. She throws caution to the wind and just goes with her feelings despite the consequences. She doesn't waver and has conviction. And while I DO find the secondary lead male more attractive at first glance, I like the sense of honor and integrity the lead male has. Again, he has an unwavering sense of what's right or wrong. So I guess that's what makes these characters/this drama attractive to me. The lead characters personalities are strong and unapologetic.

Alright, now that I've written a five-page essay on your wall. lol! Sorry sorry.

No, no! You're totally fine!! In fact, I was the exact same way at first! I was NOT feeling the time jumps in history. I'm even worse than you because I didn't even bother reading the subtitles when it went back in time! haha! I was kind of like, "Meh, I don't know what's going on. *looks to the left* Oooh! A pretty butterfly." :) But somewhere along the way it picked up for me and I started loving it.

But again, even if your experience doesn't mimic mine, it's OK. I'm glad you're giving it a shot! If anything, I should feel bad for telling you to watch a drama that bores you!

Yes well, I am NOT proud of myself. But I slowed down a lot. I just had a lot of free time that day, apparently. haha! Have you started Queen Inhyun?

Oh em gee!!! King 2 Hearts is bananas!!! It's so good!! I can't believe the stuff that's happening so far! I'm already on episode 12. This is what I call "binging" on a drama. I think I watched six episodes yesterday. *shame* haha!

And I hope you like Queen Inhyun. Let me know what you think!

You know what? The only thing is I get bored every time this whole "club M" plot line comes up. Maybe it'll be more relevant later, but right now I find it annoying. It's like an abrupt commercial break from the rest of the drama. It doesn't match and I think it's weird how he's around all the foreigners that don't speak Korean, and he doesn't speak English... awkwaaard.

Queen Inhyun's Man is SO ROMANTIC! I am in love with that drama right now. And I usually don't watch two dramas simultaneously either. But it happens (er... like right now). haha!

You should! Gumiho is really endearing and funny. I was surprised by how much I liked it. And I'm going into episode three of King 2 Hearts. So far so good!

Hahaha!!!!

I liked the first episode! And it has the guy from My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. I loved him in that drama, so that's a plus. I don't usually like military heavy dramas, but I'm going to give it a shot!

Thanks for the suggestion! You must have seen my one post. :) I'll have to check it out. I'm watching Queen Inhyun's Man right now. So far so good! The female lead is a bit cutesy for my taste but she's pretty bold.

I tried watching this drama and it made me so angry. I really dislike it when men are evil, rude, emotionally abusive jerks to women, and then the woman falls for him anyway--while the much nicer guy gets the boot. I really don't get the appeal in that kind of plot line. What message does that send?? The same thing happened in Secret Garden. Why do people love dramas where the guy is an a-hole and the girl pretty much allows it?? I got through seven episodes of this and couldn't take it anymore. I also greatly dislike helpless weak women in dramas. What century are we in!? This kind of drama sets women's lib in Korea back a couple decades.
On Protect the Boss Mar 17, 2012
I adored this drama. Firstly, the acting was superb (especially on the part of Ji Sung, who played the BEJEEZES out of his role). Secondly, while yes, it does play into many of the typical drama cliches, somehow I felt it was at least well done. I found this drama refreshing and honest. None of the characters were idiots and were always honest about their feelings. I hate stupid misunderstandings that always plague characters in dramas, and when they are in denial about their feelings. None of that here. AND, AND, it's genuinely funny. This drama is in my Top 10.

I agree with the reviewers completely. The drama started off cute and interesting, but then it took a turn for silly and became difficult to sit through. And I am a stickler for lead males in a drama that are attractive but have no personality. Yong Hwa had NO PERSONALITY in this role. Just the typical stoic and kind of a jerk persona. He was boring. I need more than a pretty face.
