This movie was amazing in that it did not go in the direction that I expected it to. I loved that it was unpredictable. I don't like that it left me a little confused. That's my only gripe with it. I hate when something ends and I'm like, "Wait...what!?!?"

Dude I haven't even read the Jack Reacher series, and I can tell from jump that Tom Cruise is not a good casting choice! The promos lead you to believe that the story is about this bad ass, hard knocks cop gone wrong, then all of a sudden I'm looking at goody two shoes, clean shaven and falsetto voiced Tom Cruise and it's like... huh? He doesn't match that persona at all. ha!! It's totally awkward. But hey, maybe he pulls it off? *shrugs* And thanks for the avi compliment my dear! Dreamy Yusuke. :)

Hey hey! No! You didn't mention liking Clazziquai! I love them. Do you have DJ Clazzi's Infant album? I'm not particularly into electronica, but I like that album a lot. I exercise to it almost every day! :)

I did like Vampire Prosecutor! Were you the one telling me you didn't like the ending? If so, I can understand. Something about the last episode was a tad bit off for me. We can go into more detail if you like, but I can't remember if you're the one who said you didn't like the ending or not, so I don't want to spoil you if that's not the case. haha!

I saw the preview for that movie before! Ah, so that's Jack Reacher. Interesting. I'll add it to my "to read" list. :) I'm pretty focused on getting in Life of Pi though before it comes out in theaters.

Thanks for, er, fourthing, the Reply 1997 recommendation. You are number four to tell me to watch it. lol!

This drama was cute and really funny. It's not great, but I enjoyed watching it. I especially loved that it was so short. More Kdramas need to be this way! It had all the same elements of a 16-20 episode drama, except without all that dragging out of the story-line and goofy plot twists. Nicely done!

I'm glad you enjoyed the article! It gave me a good chuckle as well. And totally agree with you! The garlic commentary was a bit over the top! Yuck!! haha!

You are probably the third person to tell me to watch Reply 1997. Now that my currently watching queue has freed up, I'll have to give it a shot! I'll let you know what I think once I watch a few eps. Thanks lady!

This article made me think of you, as we were once discussing how writing negative reviews is much more gratifying than writing positive ones. Random reading in your free time. :)

This drama was funny to me because of the music. In particular, EVERY TIME Uhm Tae Woong came on-screen, the same.…
Oh totally!!

I think if I just started watching Taiwanese dramas, I'd get used to the sound. Buuut, sometimes I'm stubborn about things. :)

I just finished Vampire Prosecutor tonight! The last 30 minutes of it got a little cheesy, but overall it was a very good drama. I liked it because so many vampire stories these days are about sex and vulgarity. But VP wasn't like that at all. It almost took me back to the days of Interview with a Vampire. Have you seen that movie? That's classic, dark, angst-riddled vampire material. Haha! I hate what Twilight, True Blood, Vampire Dairies and the like have done to the genre. It's over-played and lame.

How's Maou going? I added it to my PTW list. I like revenge stories! Have you watched Guilty? That's my favorite revenge Jdrama. SO good.

Ha! "...and had a party to celebrate my re-found freedom" You are too funny! I should have dropped Arang a long time ago, but I felt some unnecessary loyalty to Shin Min Ah, so I pushed myself to finish it. Ugh. Maybe I'll follow in your example and have a party when I finish!

I've recently realized about myself that I like murder mysteries, too. I've been reading a bunch of light murder mystery series for the past few months, and am really enjoying seeing the puzzle unfold and trying to solve the case myself as it progresses!

I hope you enjoy VP as much as I am. It's not something I sit and gorge on (no pun intended). But I am excited to casually sit down and watch an episode at my leisure. I also love that it is only 12 eps long. And I swear each one is better than the last. After you get a few eps under your belt, let me know what you think!

I'm on the last episode of The Thousandth Man. It's a cute, quick series! It has a lot of the same old drama cliches, but since it's short it doesn't wear on my nerves and I am enjoying it. Have you been watching it, too? I'm also watching Vampire Prosecutor and I like it a lot.

Hey lady! Well, I'm already forcing myself to sit through one boring drama so I don't know if I can handle another so soon! :) Arang and the Magistrate has a decent premise and story idea, but it's sooooooo sloooooooow. I feel as if I've been watching it for two years. One more episode to go though!! I have Innocent Man on my list. But now you make me apprehensive about it. I value your opinion on dramas.

You know what I'm watching that surprised me? Vampire Prosecutor! I keep raving to people about it because I really thought it'd be a corny, cliche-filled melodrama with lame special effects and worse acting. Turns out it's a pretty captivating, gritty murder-mystery series. The murders in each episode are intricately weaved and written. And the fact that he is a vampire is almost unnecessary to the story. If you haven't already, give it a shot!

"it touched on the taboos and issues pretty nicely as you've mentioned above but it didnt touch me."

Hahaha!! I don't know why but that made me laugh! Deadpan! Great way to express how you feel. I know what you mean!

World World World is a solid choice. I'd vouch for that album with no hesitation.

What's interesting about Ajikan is that each of their albums has its own unique feel. Kimi Tsunagi is probably the most punk rock, harder sounding album. But it still has an air of youthful whimsy to it. WWW is thoughtful and progressive, Sol-Fa is more mellow and poppy, Fan Club is SUPER emo. I love that album but it's so emo and darker sounding. The best songs on that for me are Blue Train and Senseless. And Moonlight is just beautiful. :) check 'em out!

Aaaand then there's Surf Bungaku Kamakura, which is very beachy/summer fun sounding. That album made me obsessed with Kamakura. I love that city!

My least favorite album is probably Magic Disc. The title track is killer, but that album doesn't resonate with me as much as the others for some reason. It's still good though.

Ha! I was like, "Is she talking to me or Abisee!? Why is she talking to Abisee on my wall?? Did she make a mistake!?" LOL! *a tad confused* But I got it now... I think anyway. I'm going to answer you whether it was a mistake or not. :)

I have not read The Kite Runner. I looked at the synopsis on Wikipedia and it sounds complicated and political. Honestly, I keep my reading light and whimsical. I rarely read biographies, histories, political or any books where I can actually learn something valuable. LOL! That's what school is for. *shrugs* I think the last legit book I read and liked was Freakonomics, and that was YEARS ago. haha!!

You know what I want to read? The Life of Pi. I have been looking at that book for years and I never buy it. But I'm going to try it, I think. That and The Alchemist. I'm curious about that one. Have you read either?

Let's talk about Russian History or the Einstein's theory of relativity. I don't give an ass rats about those things. LOL!!

OK for real though, Ajikan just came out with another album this past September, actually. I haven't picked it up yet, but like you, it'll probably be a Christmas present to myself or something. :)

Yeaah... 18.... sure. Talk to me when you can rent a car in the U.S. (25). haha!!

World World World is yet another great Ajikan album! I think that album is probably the most thoughtful as far as economic and global events. Gotoh (lead singer/writer), writes his songs like poems. Love it. And you can tell that he was really reflective about current events and life in general during that album--hence its name.

And Travelog is a song on that album that PERFECTLY expresses how I feel about life. It's like my life theme song! Discovering new places, living full of wonder and curiosity, meeting new people, appreciating the small things...I'm waxing poetic. DUDE this ALWAYS happens in my posts to you! We need to stop talking about things I feel passionately about. Let's talk about things I don't really care about so I can stop seeming like a smug and pretentious hipster! hahaha!

Interesting! You're the first person I spoke to that didn't think K2H wasn't an amazing drama. It's good to read another perspective on it! I personally loved it and found it well written and the characters well developed. Lee Seung Ki has grown SO MUCH as an actor, and I liked the balance of political thriller/espionage and romance. And it dealt with pretty sensitive topics such as the North/South relations, pre-marital sex, etc. I am always impressed with any drama that approaches complicated and taboo issues like that, and K2H did it extremely well.

Oh, you ballroom dance, too?? So do I!! What kind of dance style do you do? I just do Latin ballroom: salsa, bachata, cha cha. LOVE it. I've been doing it for a few years now. I went to a big salsa event yesterday, actually. Tons of fun!

I don't remember that dancing scene, but I am almost certain I watched the second season... I probably just erased it from my memory.

And dude I am almost *always* and tragically attracted to the 2nd guy. There are probably more dramas where I like the second guy better than I like the first guy. Like that drama Greatest Love. I disliked the first guy so much that I just stopped watching it. I couldn't stand it!

I don't watch Tdramas because I am not a fan of the way Taiwanese and Chinese sound. Listening to it is not as enjoyable for me as hearing Japanese and Korean. So I haven't been as inclined to watch them. But I would try!

Well good! We've both shown each other things that we've both already seen. I'd say we're even then! Hahaha! :)

And you're soooooo young. oh em geeeeeeeee. I can't even remember what I was like when I was 18! Probably not that smart. You seem pretty wise for your age. Kudos for that my friend! I thought you were a little older!
