Now, are there better examples of women who are still combative and feisty after falling in love? Sure! I think Kim Sam Soon still retained her strong spirit after she fell for Jin Hun, but I had a conversation with Amrita where she said the same thing as you! That Sam Soon changed too much!
Well, I say to all of you guys that dammit, women change (men too) when they fall in love! The prince got waaay softer and started being more considerate of Park Ha and following her around like a puppy! Let's complain about that! Why aren't you complaining about that?? LOL! *suddenly mad* >.> I'm getting aggressive about this, sorry. But it's a double-standard and I don't think it's fair.
OK, I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead. ^_^
And thanks for the compliment on my avi! It's bright as hell. lol! The October edition! :)

I can see/understand your points. I think my PMS'ing has a LOT to do with accepting the cheesy wedding. lol!! I liked it!!
The one thing I'm going to counter you on is how Park Ha changed. And I'm going to pick with you on this Nisha because you've complained about this before with some other drama (I forget which though). :)
My experience is that women/men change when they are in love. Some for the better and some for the worse. Once you expose your feelings to someone, you become completely vulnerable. Thus, it's hard to still hold onto your prideful and haughty spirit. And with Park Ha, since *she's* the one that confessed first, I could understand why her character changed. He rejected her. That would make anyone feel deflated. I could understand the change in her.

All of my avatars are by Nakamura Yusuke. I am a HUUUUGE fan of his artwork, so I like to use it on forums. :) He designs all of the album covers for my favorite Japanese rock band.
Haha! Are you calling Shin Min Ah "foxy" because of Gumiho?? :) But I totally agree! Something about her is very appealing, even to me as a heterosexual woman. lol! She's a very pretty girl and she can act her butt off!
And again, agreed. A lot of writers these days fall into a very typical formula for rom coms. But the ending for Rooftop wasn't like that. And do you know that I didn't watch Rooftop for so long because people kept comparing it to Queen Inhyun? I was scared they'd be too similar. But they aren't and I'm so glad! The ending for QIM was *SO* illogical and totally made to appease the audience. That drama tanked for me in the end. *shakes head*
The first 3 episodes were so amazing. The whole unique selling point was that she was a ghost, until they took…
My question is, why are people so defensive about dramas they like? Kachiiing is entitled to watch this, not like it and give their opinion just as much as you are entitled to watch it, like it and give yours, too. To tell someone, "then don't watch it" is a little... Who do you think you are? I'm not trying to start a fight, honestly. But I'm just seeing this a lot lately. It makes me sad because the whole point of this forum is to share opinions and discuss in a friendly way. Not to be aggressive and defensive.
If someone doesn't like something and you do, simply ask them why. Open up a discussion about it and try to express the way *you* see it. Being dismissive doesn't achieve anything. Them not liking a drama is not a personal attack on you, unless you made the drama... Which I doubt you did.
...And now I'm finished with my long paragraph. lol!

I liked that Tae Yang fond Park Ha and fell for her the exact same way he did in New York--plus the consistency with the post card. I thought that was extremely well done. It just further emphasized the point that they were fated to be together. Really beautiful message I think. I was touched and I'm usually pretty snarky about romance in dramas. It can get so dang cheesy, you know? But I was impressed.

Hey!! This avatar is SO loud, right? I didn't realize it until I was scrolling through something and was taken aback like, "Who is that!?.... Oh, it's me." haha! :)
Are you watching Arang at all? If so, feel free to bash it. It's probably one of the most boring dramas I've ever made myself watch. I would drop it, but for some reason I feel this odd loyalty to Shin Min Ah. Crazy.
Thanks for the kind word about my review! You totally just made me smile! I agree with you in that the ending to Rooftop Prince was particularly well done. The last episode overall was great because they clearly explained what went down in Joseon, but it didn't feel rushed. And I also liked that they didn't create some lame loophole where the prince could go back to the modern world.

If I ever watch You're Beautiful, trust me in that you will be the FIRST person I give my opinion to! :) And yeah, I'm really weird I think. A lot of dramas that people think are amazing I hardly like at all. You're Beautiful, City Hunter, Boys Over Flowers... I didn't care for any of them, but they are among the most popular dramas here. I think the one drama I can agree on with everyone is Coffee Prince. That one seems to be popular all around.
I don't know if I'll stick with Vampire Prosecutor. I was just curious, but it isn't bad. I kind of want to watch something cheesy and stupid but I don't know.... Maybe I *should* watch You're Beautiful! hahaha!

Yah I think Korea is starting to take cues from Japan with the whole androgyny business. Japanese pop culture is big on boys looking like girls. The girls there love it. What attracted me to Korean culture within the past few years was that they DON'T do that as much, so I would be sad if they started adopting this trend more. T_T
I appreciate the recommendation. Maybe one day I'll feel cheeky and spontaneous enough to try You're Beautiful again. But I doubt it will be any time soon. It just gave me such a poor impression right from the start! I thought, "why do people like this??" So maybe one day I will care enough to find out and watch for myself. Today is not that day though. :) Now I just tried an episode of Vampire Prosecutor. It is not at lame as I was hoping it would be... I feel disappointed. lol! It's actually interesting.

I'll tell you why I couldn't watch You're Beautiful. Within the first two episodes, the lead girl seemed very, very stupid and clumsy. I didn't think I could watch a full drama with a heroine like that. Also, she is CLEARLY a girl. So I also didn't think I could tolerate everyone around her thinking she was a boy when she is SO OBVIOUSLY a girl. It's similar to the reason why I don't like Superman movies/comics/TV shows. The man puts on glasses and no one can recognize that Clark Kent is Superman?? Really???
So those two things I couldn't get past, so I decided not to watch it. Mary Stayed Out All Night was very different as far as plot line and characters, so I could handle that one much easier. :)
At first I was like, who would watch this? Now that I've seen it I can tell you that this drama is AWESOME! You…
You just took the words RIGHT out of my mouth! I was thinking to myself, "Who would watch this?? It sounds ridiculous!" But now I'm sad that you said it was good...I kind of wanted to watch because I thought it would be silly. lol!
So glad to see Philip Lee back in action. Even if his role is small it's still awesome!
I like Philip Lee, too! I was considering watching this drama *just because* he's in it! :)

Yah, I've been watching dramas for a few years now and I think I get sick of seeing the same old things. And even if it's the same old things, I at least need really strong characters. If the characters are great, I can tolerate a stale plot.
I do watch some non-Asian dramas, but not many. Outside of Asian dramas, I don't watch must television at all. Just a few reality shows here and there. :)

Hahaha! You said Lee Minho's acting is terrible!! I have mixed feelings about that boy. Sometimes I love him and sometimes I hate him--all in the same moment, too. I honestly think I only tolerate him because he has really long legs and I find that sexy. *shallow* But I won't watch something just because he's in it. His legs aren't *that* nice. *shallow and stubborn*
And you're so right about not being able to judge a drama! I just finished Rooftop Prince, and I didn't think I'd like it, but I liked it a LOT! It was pretty thrilling with great characters. Big surprise for me. While the surprise with Arang is how damn boring it is. Ugh. I really want to finish it and not drop it. But I'm feeling the urge to give up on it. I have yet to find a historical drama that I like. I thought Arang would be the first, but nope. Not at all.
Also, when he started to disappear after their last kiss at the wedding on the rooftop... WHY DID I CRY!? WTF?? LOL! I *never* cry watching dramas! I think I'm PMS'ing though, for real. lol! But I was THAT into it. It made me feel so sad!
But I really like how it ended. The whole point was that they were fated to be together, so I liked that the true Tae Yang found her and repeated his same actions before with the postcard. Loved that! And I liked that there wasn't some silly plot loop where the prince was able to stay in the modern world. I'm really glad they didn't do that.
It was a solid series overall. I wish you'd pushed me more to watch it! We have similar tastes in dramas, so if you really like something, don't be afraid to stand by it dude! I would have watched this a long time ago! I was nervous it'd be like Queen Inhyun since everyone was comparing them, but it wasn't AT ALL.

Anyway, yeah, ramble away since I finished it.
I love how you keep pulling out the Power Ranger references! First in Arang and now here! I didn't even pick up on that but you are so right. I loved those boys. I loved Park Ha, too. I don't know what it is with me and men and women yelling at each other in dramas. I *did* love the parts when Park Ha would yell at Yoochun and he'd flinch away, but I loved it even more when he'd wince at first but then yell back at her! haha!! It reminded me of Kim Sam Soon and how Sam Soon and Jin Hun would go toe-to-toe. Love that stuff! It shows passion I think.
Se Na and Tae Mu were RIDICULOUS! They were pretty amazing! I can't even deny it! Around episode 16 or 17, I started to get to irritated with Park Ha. Like, really?? You are *still* falling for her tricks!? But it just made me want to give Se Na a high five! If she keeps falling for it, oh well!

DUDE I finished it last night and wrote a review this morning!!! LOL! I freakin' gobbled it up like it was a delicious meal! What did it take me? Like three days?? Hahaha!

You know what? I actually LOVED Yoochun! I was just so damn tickled by his old Korean accent and the way he'd shout at everyone so incredulously! It made me laugh so hard! The best characters are the ones that make me laugh when they are not even trying to be funny. And that's the way his character was written! He's so arrogant and prideful and the situation he's in is just hilarious. I totally fell for him (even though he was too dang skinny! NO ass what-so-ever). Haha! At least Tae Kang in I Do I Do had some booty... heh heh... *focus*

OK, I'm so sorry for flooding your wall. I usually try to restrain myself from this sort of behavior, but I can't help it this time! I'm watching episode 15 and they just cut to this COMPLETELY random scene of Taek Soo running into the building and falling over his own two feet!! I am CRYING from laughing right now!!!! I love how it was completely unrelated to anything else going on, and they just cut to him falling in the middle of the lobby! LOL!!! That was GREAT!
Watcha watching these days?
