Holy crap! You *are* watching a lot of dramas! How's Bridal Mask going? Did I ask you that already? I am considering watching it, but I don't know if I'm up for a political thriller.
And noooo, unfortunately I decided to drop RMPW. I lost interest in it. Have you seen the drama Tsuki no Koibito? They are almost the exact same drama dude. I felt like I didn't want to spend any more time on it. But I can understand wanting to watch it to the end. I almost want to keep watching it JUST so I can write a scathing review for it afterward. hahaha! But that's not a good reason so I'm not going to finish it.

And just like you said about Asahina, I really like Yoko! I wish *she* was the main character! She's smart and pretty and assertive in her feelings about Hyuga. I love her confidence! And yet she's getting tossed to the side in typical love-triangle fashion. So yah, I couldn't keep watching it.
I just finished Shut Up Flower Boy Band before RMPW though. LOVED it! And I'm waiting to watch Arang and the Magistrate. I'll start it once 10 episodes have been uploaded.
Have you watched either?

Hey Bladey! I'm totally honored that you think so highly of my list!! (*^_^*) Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy! haha! Please, feel free to peruse any time!
Yah, you guessed it exactly right. I dropped RMPW because it is SOOOOO typical. And the few interesting things about the characters have completely dropped out of the plot line.
For example, what happened to Hyuga searching for his mother? Suddenly he stopped caring. What about his medical condition with not remembering people? That also dropped off. I liked the angle of him not remembering people and Makoto helping, but they only did that once and it never came up again. And I greatly dislike the character Makoto. I don't like how she's a doormat, puppy of a woman, always chasing after Hyuga. She's smart but she's so silly, weak and goofy. I hated watching her fumble around while in denial about liking Hyuga. Ugh.

Hey dude!! So very sorry for the delayed response! I went out of town because we had a long holiday weekend here. ^_^
I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I haven't heard of either of those series!! :( Are you a big fan of them? What are they about?? Details please!

Are you kidding me?? I can't believe that people would react so negatively to the chef character!
It's strange to me. I guess my standards are just different from a lot of drama viewers. I really like how assertive and confident Yoko is. As you said, she's a smart and attractive woman and she knows what she wants. I think she's a great character! Her character traits are what I admire in a drama heroine--the kinds of traits I myself aspire to possess. And for her to be disliked because of that is bizarre to me. Where Yoko is a progressive and modern woman, Makoto sets women's liberation back some years. I can't cheer for a woman like that. I just can't.
And they *DID* drop his "disability" AND the "missing mother" plot line!! Completely! I think they lamely resolved the latter by him saying he just wanted to know she was alive. After that it never came up again! So sad!

That reference to Prosecutor Princess was TOTALLY amusing! It also pleased me because you would have to know that she acted in that drama to get it, and it made me feel "in the know." :)
Wow, I looked at my score and I gave it a 6! Haha! Kinda harsh. I think it at least deserves a 7. I gave Prosecutor Princess a 6 as well, and Dr. Champ was definitely a little better than that drama.

And thank you for not getting offended by my ranting. haha! I can't stand Makoto. I might drop this drama but we'll see. I like Hyuga, but it irritates me so much how she runs behind him, bending to his every whim. Then standing there and crying when he puts her down. GROW A SPINE! It's fine to admire someone, but he's not God! He poops just like the rest of us! Sheesh! There's no reason for her to act so contemptible. And I hate the way she flounders around when the Chef shows up. Just be normal!! The Chef woman is nice! Gah!
OK, I'm done. lol!

I'm glad you echo my sentiments about Rich Man Poor Woman! And I agree, the cast for Tsuki no Koibito was fantastic, but the plot was lame. With RMPW though, I find myself so offended by the Makoto character. I have a difficult time watching women not only run behind a man and give way to his every whim, but also eagerly accepting poor treatment. He talks down to her SO MUCH and she just cries and runs behind him. It really bothers me. And recently she's even started putting herself down, saying things like, "I know I'm stupid." You can admire someone without putting yourself down in the process!
I've watched six episodes and I'm considering dropping it. I doubt she'll grow a backbone, and I know Hyuga won't end up with the chef woman, whom I prefer.

Yes, he may be sexy and like a wild horse that you want to tame now, but later, you'll regret making that choice. And authors and movie producers and drama directors *always* have the girl go for that guy! I much, much prefer the gentleness and wise-beyond-his-years nature of Jem. A billion to one. So I don't think I can tolerate watching Tessa most likely chase after Will as he keeps up his roller-coaster, emotionally abusive and immature antics toward her, while poor Jem is just a sideline character, and yet more of a man than Will can ever hope to be. Can't do it. Not gonna. :)
But THANKS SO MUCH for the recommendation!!! I've read three pretty solid, yet very different books in a row! I'm feeling mighty good!

OK, now that I've said good things...
I am a little disappointed because I was hoping the book would be a bit more self-contained. I know there are four or five more books, so that was a weak aspiration on my part, but still. I don't like how open-ended a lot of the plot lines are. Particularly when it comes to what the f*ck is wrong with Will and why he suddenly turned icy cold (AGAIN) toward Tessa. But at the same time, I'm not sure that I care, because that is very typical of his character-type. That being said, I don't think I want to foray into the next book.
As I mentioned in my last post, I'm just not into the angst-ridden bad boys that bottle up all their emotions. I'm too practical for that kind of guy. That is the type of guy who will be sitting on your couch some years down the line, a drunken, good-for-nothing bastard because they can't handle the harshness of life. lol!

Finished Clockwork Angel! Overall I feel positive about the book! It was a fun read with an entertaining plot filled with mystery, and surprising twists and turns. I looked up and had finished it pretty quickly once it took hold of my attention!
I didn't completely expect Nate to be the bad guy. The thought crossed my mind when Will showed such animosity toward him, but I ignored it. But there were always moments for me that raised a red flag! For instance, Nate suddenly exclaiming to Jem and Will, "You're not going with them? Why??" I thought... that's fishy guys. I need you all to recognize that that is fishy. Also when Mortmain conveniently showed up RIGHT after everyone left to attack deQuincy with that bogus tip on the Dark Sisters. I thought... Hey, take Tessa with you, rather than leave her alone. *She's* the one they want! But alas, no one noticed the fishiness of it all.

OK, so... Sigh. I don't know why I always set myself up for disappointment, but alas, tis' my fate.
I ADORE Jem. I love his calm, diplomatic nature. I love his thoughtful words of wisdom and consolation. I just love those kinds of guys!
There are exceptions (like Kyo from Fruits Basket), but I am generally not a fan of the wild bad boys (i.e., Will). I'm just not into the whole, "I don't care about anyone! Or anything! No one understands me! I hate everybody! I do not like green eggs and ham! No I will not eat them in a box! Or with a fox!" rebellious mentality. LOL!
Also, I feel like I have no idea what Tessa looks like. The author spend so much time talking about Will's damn blue eyes that I don't even have a steady image of the heroine in my mind. I finally got "she's pretty" from Jem. Otherwise I got nothing. But Will's eyes are REAL, REAL blue boy! They are the BLUEST! hahaha!

Hey lady! Thanks for the kind words about my avatar. (*^_^*)
I'm glad you liked Dr. Champ! I liked it to. I agree with everything you said, basically. :) It's not a groundbreaking drama, or even worth recommending to someone. But I think it was well done in its own right, and I enjoyed watching it. I also appreciated how sports were a consistently important theme as the drama developed. I actually really liked all the little side stories about other athletes and their medical problems. The drama never felt boring and I liked all of the characters as well.
I don't care for the hot-headed, immature guys either. That's why I am almost always tragically rooting for the "secondary" guy in dramas. The lead is always some arrogant, jerk-face guy while the second is the nice guy. I like the nice, mature guy! But like you said, Ji Heon wasn't so bad and I could accept him by the end!

Happy Birthday! Wooooooo!! I hope you're doing something absolutely fabulous and fun today!! Absolutely fabulous and fun things should always be done on one's birthday. It's a rule I think. :)
Just to update you, I read more of Clockwork Angel and it has captured my interest a little more. Teenage angst/romance books make me laugh though. Not in a bad way! But the writer has some lines that I, with my jaded sense of romance, can't help but chuckle at. For example Tess says something about Will saying her name, like it's the first time she's ever heard it. Heh. Then there's something about the "hard T and soft s"...... HAHAHA!!! I died a little. Then he storms off later full of angst yelling, "You don't know anything about me!!" I like to imagine he slammed a door somewhere! And ohhh how blue his eyes are, apparently. -_-
But yah, I'm making fun, but I like it so far! On to chapter 5!
