At least she is honest about her feelings and is more forward with Hyuga. But I know he won't end up with her because she's the secondary lead woman, and the secondary characters NEVER get the lead guy/girl. So that only adds to my irritation. Le sigh.

*end rant* :)

Hmm, looking at your favorites list and judging by our general, similar opinions, I think you'll like I Do I Do. I honestly LOVED it. You may not be head over heels for it like I was, but I honestly think it was the most intelligently written and provocative drama I'd seen in a long time. If you want my full opinion, check out the review I wrote on it. :) Ick. I just felt like a politician or used car salesman saying that. haha!

RMPW is indeed NOT a materpiece. It's just aiight. You know what really kills it for me? The lead girl, Makoto. First, I don't like female leads that run around like puppies chasing their master. She's a total doormat. Second, I dislike characters who deny their feelings. "It's not that I like him, I just want to be by his side!" Umm, idiot that means you like him! She's smart, but she's stupid and it annoys me. I prefer the chef woman. I hope Hyuga dates her.

OK, is it just me, or is Rich Man Poor Woman essentially Tsuki no Koibito, except furniture design has been replaced with information technology? -__- *not impressed*

O.O

Hahahaha!! Who does that!?!? I mean, it's no big deal! You seem as if you're very busy these days. And hey, let's face it! Dramas are NOT a big deal in the large scope of things, eh? So it's fine.... funny, but fine. :) I envy you! I wish I was still riding the I Do I Do train! I'm sure I'll be on it again next year sometime knowing my knack for nostalgia and re-watching dramas I love.

I'm having a slow weekend so I'm going to read Clockwork Angel tonight and tomorrow. Heads up for some rambling in the near future.

Oh wow! You still haven't finished I Do I Do? I know what you mean about watching too many good dramas at once. I like to have focus in my drama watching.

Well good luck lady! :)

Hi there! So I checked your "Completed" list and actually, you've seen all of the Japanese dramas that I really like. So I can't comfortably recommend a good Jdrama for you.

HOWEVER, if you are OK with Korean dramas, I noticed that there are a few classics that are not on your list. :) I have three recommendations.

1) My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. This is a very cute and whimsical drama and the lead girl is pretty strong and lovable.

2) My Name is Kim Sam Soon. This is a more serious romantic drama, but it has probably the strongest female heroine in any drama I've ever seen. The actress playing Kim Sam Soon is what makes this drama special.

3) Protect the Boss. This drama is fun and well written. It starts off a little slow, but the lead girl and guy are very cute and the girl is a tough cookie.

I think any of those three are a good place to start! :)

Hahaha! Dude that's why I'm not even going to start it until it's halfway done! I can't play that waiting game for twenty episodes. I did that recently with I Do I Do! When you are waiting for episodes of a drama that you *really* like, it feels like your life is somewhat taken over by that drama. I can't do that again. Not this soon. Good luck lady!

I started watching Rich Man Poor Woman but it's pretty so-so. Oguri Shun is amazing and I like Arata, but that's about it. Otherwise the story line and also heroine are very typical.

Hmm, I'm learning that I must be pretty pretentious about dramas, because people here will swear up and down that X drama is SO GREAT... And then I watch it and think, "Ummmm..... it's not." -__- hahaha!

Started watching Rich Man Poor Woman today... So-so. Typical. *shrugs* I don't hate it but I'm not particularly impressed with it, either. The saving grace here is Oguri Shun--who is essentially my fantasy husband--so I appreciate him. His acting in it is solid. I like Arata, too. The lead girl is a jittery doormat. Blegh.

I'm basically just biding my time until there are more episodes of Arang up. :) Four so far! I need six more and then I'll start!! Then at least it'll be half-way through! Wooo!

Also, I watched the first three episodes of Rich Man Poor Woman tonight. Honestly, I'm not impressed. I like Oguri Shun a lot (like, LOVE him... I want to marry him). So he's the best thing about this series and I like his quirky character. Plus his acting is very strong. But as far as the story line, not original. It's a lot like Tsuki no Koibito, actually. Rich, handsome and quirky entrepreneur in Tokyo with issues. Love quadrangle. Yeah. Also, I don't care for the lead girl. She's the typical doormat, self-conscious, clumsy and goofy girl who sometimes randomly has a backbone. She's not anything special as far as heroines go. I don't hate her, but I get tired of her bumbling around and crying.

BUT HEY, maybe I'll eat my words as I keep watching. :) It's happened before! I change my mind sometimes. But three episodes in, it's so-so. Not quite a masterpiece for me.

So far Oguri Shun is the best thing about this drama. Otherwise it's pretty typical. It's a lot like Tsuki no Koibito, but I liked the female leads in that drama way more. The lead girl in this drama is your typical no-confidence, jittery, clumsy "I'm a doormat but every so often I try to have a back bone" heroine. Blah.

Shut Up Flower Boy Band surprised the heck out of me. I thought it was going to be this lame, shallow drama about a band, but it wasn't that way at all! It was gritty and well written with good music and solid acting. I was very impressed! I gobbled it up like a yummy stack of pancakes! haha!

And good to know I can ask for your assistance! :) I saw you added that Hansel and Gretel movie to your PTW list and I thought that looked interesting! If you get to it before me, you'll have to tell me how it is!

YAAAY!! I'm SO glad you're feeling Kimi Tsunagi!! Ahh, that just made my evening! :) And glad to hear as well that you're willing to support financially in time! My thing is, I want Ajikan to play in the US. They've never had a concert here, but if they see they have fans, maybe they'll do it someday. So we have to show them the love! haha!

N.G.S is a killer song, right? I love E, too! That whole album rocks. And it's funny that your experience is similar to mine. I swear, after a few listens, I think to myself, "Ahh, OK, this song has X and this other song has Y and that other song has Z." Then I can't imagine how they ever sounded the same to me. It's like that with *every* album. And they are the only musicians that I will buy an album blindly for, cause I KNOW it's going to be solid without listening first.

And you're very, very welcome! :) Anytime!

I saw that video clip! I watched it after the Banana one. It's with G-Dragon and Park Bom is singing with him in the studio, right? Such a cute video. But yeah, seems like they have that kind of flirty, cutesy relationship.... But mostly Park Bom seems like she thinks he's a freak. hahaha!

...... Also, now *I* feel like a freak because I'll randomly shout BANANAAA at any given moment and then laugh at myself. *shakes head*

Yaaaay!! \(^o^)/ I'm super glad to hear you're giving Kimi Tsunagi a try! I think that's a solid first album to get into. Spend a good amount of time on that before you look into their other albums for sure. Each album definitely has it's own theme and mood, and it's fun to discover them slowly over time. :)

And I'm going to sound like a snob now (sorry!!), but as a hardcore Ajikan fan, I feel sad when people download their albums instead of buying them. Buuuuut those albums are super expensive, I know. Plus you are just trying them out for size, so I know it's hard to dedicate $30+ to a band you're just curious about. Buuuuut (lol!) if you do find that you start loving them and becoming a fan, I would just like to encourage you to buy instead of download. Even if it's used on Amazon. I want them to keep making music, after all! So we have to support them! *end snobbery* hee hee :)

Hey! Thanks for the recommendation! I think I might try watching it in the next few days. I just gobbled up another drama, so I need to take a short short break. :)

And cool! Kubozuka was in this movie called "GO!" that really opened my eyes to the racial discrimination in Japan. It was such an awesome movie and he acted it superbly. Plus he was in another quirky movie I like called Ping Pong. He's very talented. I see you have Matsuyama Kenichi in your list! He was one of the first Japanese actors that I fell in love with! His portrayal of L in the first two Death Note movies was amazing! And he's SO DANG CUTE! haha!

People *are* easily deceived. Didn't we start this whole conversation because we had a camaraderie about how Queen Inhyun was NOT as good as most people gush it to be? So there's the answer to that! :) On this site, I can only rely on reviews so much. Because we all see things differently. There are people who LOVE the drama You're Beautiful, yet I could barely stomach one episode of it. I tried twice and just could not. So once I give something a try and I'm just not feeling it, that's that.

You have the OST to K2H? I don't even remember the music for that drama! haha! Was there music?? I think I was too stressed out over the plot line to notice music. It is an awesome drama though! Agreed!

And you pegged it. Flower Boy Ramyun Shop IS a typical, silly, air headed rom-com. I'm bitter about that drama because against my better judgement of dropping it, I kept watching hoping that I would be wrong in how it would turn out. You know the feeling, right? "Maybe this will be the ONE love-triangle drama where she actually picks the BETTER guy and not just the lead guy." Foiled again. Waste of my time. :( To make matters more horrific in that drama, the lead guy was NOT age appropriate for the lead girl, which went against some of my pretty solid beliefs about teachers NOT dating their high school students! Ick.

So funny!! As you say I "crossed the Korean strait" as well! Except I did it in the form of an anime. Not sure if you dig anime, but sometimes I wander into it. There's this director that I really love named Shinichiro Watanabe, and he's done some of the most artsy, beautiful and innovative animes out there (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo). Anyway, he has a new anime out called Kids on the Slope. It's a story about friendship and it has this AMAZING classic Jazz soundtrack. It was just what I needed to kind of cleanse my palate. And I agree, Japanese stories *do* portray friendships very, very well.

Honestly, it seems like people are kind of clueless here sometimes. I really think the only reason anyone could possibly compare Shut Up Flower Boy band to Flower Boy Ramyun Shop is because both titles contain the word "flower" and "boy." Seriously! There's no other means for comparison!

So, I just finished watching Shut Up Flower Boy Band and was considering writing a review for it. But then I went to the page and saw your review and literally thought, "Ah, never mind she already handled it." :) haha! Great drama! It also pulled me out of a small slump. It surprised me! I was expecting some kind of lame You're Beautiful re-make (and I hated You're Beautiful so I wasn't expecting much). But not at all! I really just decided to watch it because I was bored, but then it sucked me in and I could barely look away. Great characters, great music, cool cinematography. It's not perfect but definitely a new favorite!
