Just had a thought while continuing this drama - Park Seong A reminds me of KOTOKO AIHARA from Mischievous Kiss/Itazura na Kiss (Japan). Like she is totally driven/obsessed with the guy 😂

Ah alright - I saw your comment and Lee Hae Ah's comment above and that got me curious. That they should keep her character as the webtoon, which made me wonder if they are deviating from the webtoon.

while not evil - but I totally imagined Itachi/transition to crows scenes as soon as I read the above. I hope they are able to execute a similar effect in the drama - that would be super cool!

She could have pushed her but could have been a lapse of judgement/fit of jealousy - and not overall define her character. Maybe she will own it and apologize - and given their friendship, FL will forgive. Not sure - but yeah even I'd not like to see her as evil/ negative character and want to have a happy ending with 2ML.

Curious - is the drama going differently than the webtoon?

I remember a scene when he insists his name is ROY - and says ROY ROY ROY ROY!

Even I think the one who pushed Cha Seon Chaek into the water was Cho Eun Ae, not Do Hwa Seon, cause like FL said even the villain can change, and Eun Ae was definitely feeling a little J when Yi Beom caught the FL in the Queen Mother's Palace.

I am also reminded of Mr Queen so many time when watching this drama. I wonder if there is some common connection - writer/producer/director etc? Even the cooking scene made me think of Mr Queen - but it went in an opposite direction😂

I also love their cute random kisses (pecks) and the forehead flicks - SO CUTE!

IKR! The writers just punished us with the lack of the kiss scene. Like the hug was cute but we want MORE! Someone needs to make a series about them 🥹🥹🥹

OMGGGG - It is there on my watchlist !! I have heard it is really good - and I love both the lead actors in it! Ahh so many dramas to watch and so less time.

Hospital Playlist and All of Us are Dead - are so popular - but somehow I have not been able to make time and watch it. Will definitely try to make it work now that I know the FL's there too!

First Thoughts - After 2 Episodes
(Long One - But I was too Excited)

1. What the SML 💔
Why all K-drama SML's have such a fate, one-sided crush on the FL, that is too sad to watch. I am seeing the actor "Cha Kang Yoon" for the first time here, and OMG - am so convinced by that puppy face, yet strong "I'll be there for my loved ones" vibes. But we all know he would not get the girl and its so sad - but ah, I can't even root for him, cause we want the FL-ML to end up together. Why, K-drama makers Why? I hope he gets his own happy ending in some way.

2. THE FL 🌸
It is also my first time watching the FL "Cho Yi Hyun" (apparently I have seen her in Sweet Revenge, but I don't recall her role that vividly in that drama). Her character's intention and antics are something I don't usually like - but it kind of goes with the story, so am okay with it. It is super cringe/clingy - which would make me roll-my-eyes - but she's acting well, what she has been given - so am good with it.

3. THE ML 🎯:
This is my third drama of ML - "Choo Young Woo". The first one was "Trauma Code" which was masterpiece & one that I cannot recommend enough. The second was "Mercy for None" where he was so good as the antagonist. I am so taken by his looks (yes, FL I feel you) but more by his acting - he is able to pull off goofy, serious and cute. A little taken aback to see him take a role of a high-schooler which is younger than what he played earlier and I saw him as - doctor & prosecutor, but he pulls it off really well. In fact his looks and acting remind me of another ultra fav - Lee Jun Young. I had shared a post sometime back where they look similar - because of glasses, but I can see the similarity is more than in some features, face moles and glasses - it is in acting diversity as well. 4. THE SPIRIT-MOTHER 💗 : So good to see one of my favorite ahjumma/eomma - "Kim Mi Kyung" in another affectionate and motherly role. One of those characters / artists whose presence make you smile a bit more and brighter seeing them on-screen.

5. I love the story so far - well acted, paced, and good mystery levels. I'm usually not a fan of high-school based stories as I have outgrown them, but I like that this is layered with other themes of mystery, fantasy, suspense, past trauma (ML & FL parents, the other evil ? Shaman, ML's friend/ex "H" that probably got hurt in fire & now blames ML).

🤔 Theory - could evil shaman be FL's real mother? Could "H" become a love interest for SML, and allow her to heal, and SML to overcome his crush on FL?

I don't want to overly praise it - cause it is too early, and I have been burnt by dramas that seemed amazing initially but flatlined later. Still this is good so far and oddly-addictive, need another episode as soon as one gets done.

Oh yes - star power is real for this one. And I am so intrigued by the concept. I don't follow zodiac signs as such, but am always interested in it - like the memes/posts you see on social media, and anime based on it like Fruits Basket. Basically the whole mythology theme is truly interesting.

Add a cast like the one we have and am really hopeful that this would be an interesting watch #fingers-crossed

Episode 5 - Front Man's eyes as he watched onscreen what decision Gi Hun makes was so brilliant. First its almost gleaming with happiness, as Gi Hun is about to make a move. And then again the eyes are gleaming but this time with regret? sorrow? remorse? guilt? cause he sees Gi Hun walk away?

Hardly anything was said as he simply watched - and sipped on his whiskey - but a lot was said through the eyes. I love it when actors do this, and are able to pull it off with barely any movements. Incredible!

Player 120 ❤️❤️❤️
Ep 2 - and I realize why the makers said this season and show ending will not be easy

I can still see mixed reviews and comments - so I really hope the show ends well, solely to honor the character of Player 120. This was not easy 😭😭😭 the hardest one, since Ali or rather at part with Ali from Season 1.

Han Se Jin is a vibe! Says a lot without saying much, touches on profound thoughts without being serious! 💖

Also - Love how they have shown a contrast between the twin sisters, yet an underlying similarity.
And same extended to their respective beaus - different, yet similar in some ways - especially on how to win over the Yu sisters for sure 😅
