Title Bitch X Rich Season 2 Spoiler
feels like a blackmail or a debt
This is such a convenient chaos. Like they created unnecessary chaos and then all is well in a jiffy - urgghh. Thanks for sharing how it ended. For now I think I will put it on hold and maybe come back to it later.

Title The White Olive Tree Spoiler
This drama has put such a strong impression on me. Unfortunately I was not strong enough to watch it entirely…
Many of the social media posts/blogs mention that what they call as "elope" is a euphemism that the main couple committed suicide, immediately after their wedding - this is the drama version, not the novel one.

I am really curious as to why it means so?

Like I know euphemism is not directly saying it - For Example: Pass Away is a euphemism for "Death".

So is it something in Chinese language and elope is a translation of a certain word, or they really use elope = unaliving yourself? In either case, or something else - what is the origin, why this word only?

Would really appreciate if someone can explain - Thanks.

This drama has put such a strong impression on me. Unfortunately I was not strong enough to watch it entirely - Li Zan's character is too convincing that it makes me want to bawl everytime. Like it physically hurts to see him in pain. CZY's eye acting is super good.

I have therefore "read" the last episodes through various online forums and Reddit. AND fast watched it as much as I could handle.

It has been many months since I saw it but I keep coming back to it. At least the earlier episodes when things were on a happy note.

I have a doubt about a word/euphemism used for/at the ending, where I need some help.

Title Blend Feelings Spoiler
How did it end?
So at end of Ep 24, the FL wakes up and realizes that the entire story that had happened so far was a dream. It was actually a novel that she was writing. But then the ML also comes in and asks if her novel is complete and she replies almost. And then he goes on to give his mother's bracelet to her and they both smile at each other.

So am confused - like is this drama a part of some series, a parent series? Usually such endings happen in those kind of dramas?

I'm not exactly sure why I watched this drama šŸ˜… like there is no standout feature but it was short and kind of addicting beyond reason. Guess you need cliched plots at times. Anyways - the acting was cute and well done by the main leads and it was enjoyable - no wonder I binged it in a few hours.

I do have some questions - it could be something obvious, things lost in translations - but then am slowly getting in C-dramas so maybe I need some context and would be grateful if someone can help me understand:

1. The ML Gu Jingshi is called Gu Jiacheng’s "Third Uncle" in the drama and also in the synopsis (see here: https://www.iq.com/album/blend-feelings-2025-gjusr5cw0l?lang=en_us)

But then no where in the drama are any other uncles mentioned or shown, so how does this add up? Or is it translated wrongly and means something entirely different?

2. What was that ending - like which version do we believe then, or does it mean there is more to come? Or is this drama part of a parent story?

Not always the case, in fact I'm not so convinced with Reason 2. Haru was not the best MLs out there, but there was no layer/depth to the SML played by Lee Jae Wook in terms of a romantic partner either. I mean he was all the red flags - especially on the arrogant front and how he treated the FL. In fact, in most K-dramas a guy like Lee Jae Wook's character would be the ML, and Haru-like character would be SML - so then one would love Haru, going by the SML-syndrome.

But it's a good perspective - though likeness for SML can wary. I for one have never gravitated towards the SML, even after decades of drama-watching. Until now, when the strongest I have felt for an SML has been - is in the current drama I am seeing "Heads over Heels" - with Jiho and Bong-su both.

I swear Jiho’s brain went on vacation during that scene.
haha seriously, like that was so forcefully done = just to give the man some negative points when it comes to men who are trying to win over Seong-A

Title S Line Spoiler
⭐ On a lighter note, Lee Eun Saem has a connection with school rooftops - here and in Bitch x Rich šŸ™ˆšŸ™ˆšŸ™ˆā…
THEORIES:

1) Sinister Teacher - Lee Da Hee
I had originally posed this comment after Ep 2 - but it did not post for some reason. But right from Ep 2, she had some quiet smiles, like she knew a secret. And Ep 3 when she passed the glasses to English teacher, Jung-Woo, oh it is so obvious that she is involved with S-Line and the glasses.
- Maybe she too can see the S-Lines like FL student
- Maybe she is the inventor of the S-Lines Glasses, because she used her S-Line seeing power and wanted to create chaos in the world, or is her revenge somehow
- Because above 2 points, maybe that's why her own S-Line is not there. Or she really has not had a relationship - probably some traumatic incident/cheating, and which led to her creating the glasses and wreck havoc, and make others suffer like her?
She's pretending to be clumsy as it hides her real intentions.

2) Jo Han Chul:
I saw the Epilogue of Ep 2/Preview of Ep 3 and can recognize Jo Han Chul's voice anywhere now. In the preview, his dialogue/voice came before he appeared and I was like YASS! He is such an incredible actor, and so far we have 2 actors with such amazing deep voices, Lee Soo Hyuk and him.

3) Poster of this Drama
In poster Lee Suk is wearing glasses - looks like he will get to see the lines above his head. I want to see his reaction. Edit: Saw that at the end of Ep 4 - and his reaction was priceless.

4) Cursed S-Line Glasses
It seems the glasses are cursed - whoever is wearing them will get killed. Possibly because they will becomes obsessed and consumed by what they interpret. We saw this happen to the niece, and looks like even her bully has not fared well. Even the English teacher's sister's family was destroyed in a way - he read incorrectly into the situation (Ep 3 was F-ed up)

I see Lee Suk wearing them as well in the poster, but I hope he is immune to reacting to it (given his own S-lines) and he remains alive and finds the truth behind it.

Honest Observation:
How do screaming, hair-pulling, pulsating BGM, resting B-face and expressions make up for story gaps and weird actions/choices of characters in dramas like these?

Like this is definitely not the greatest or even good drama, it is okay, but still is super crazy, fun and additive. There are so many glaring gaps, and you are thinking how can they get away with this but they totally do and am like WHAT and still click on NEXT EPISODE!

I can never understand the secret ingredient these creators use to get us addicted to stories/drama s like this which we know is no masterpiece but you still can't put it down. šŸ˜…šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

I can never stop my emotions and thoughts when it comes to LMH. There are some people and things in your life that become the turning point - be it good or bad. He symbolizes one of those turning points in my life, for the better and hence words just overflowed when I saw this article.

Thank you for reading it - and am happy to know many of the things that I have shared also resonate with you šŸ’– Minoz Forever!

Review Legend of Zang Hai Spoiler
Your review is exactly my thoughts on this drama, as I contemplate dropping it after episode 24, so thank you.…
Thank you for taking the time and reading my review. Glad that it was relatable to you.
Yes, that mark of 24-30 episodes is where you start getting these doubts, which is unfortunate given how amazing the drama is build up to that point. It reaches the crescendo and then just falls flat. Marquis was definitely super interesting and the real antagonist one can say - afterall 70-75% of the drama is devoted to defeating him. Therefore, it feels more weird after he's gone and other villains are kind of explored in a rush and maybe that's why the drama falters in the end.

You too can watch the rest of the episodes at 2x speed or so, but you are right one feels like dropping it. The pull is missing, as it was there in the earlier episode.

Lee Min Ho will always be the first love—not just in a ā€œdeluluā€ way, but with deep respect and admiration.

*Boys Over Flowers* and the character Gu Jun Pyo hold a special place in my heart, and they always will—regardless of whether I rewatch the drama or not. When I first saw it, and saw Lee Min Ho on screen, my world shifted. It opened my eyes to a beautiful, unexpected realm of storytelling. I’ll always be grateful—for the drama, and for LMH coming into my life and into the lives of so many others. šŸŽ‰

At that time, when it came out I was a kid in school but going through one of the darkest periods of my life. This K-drama, alongside the anime *Naruto*, truly changed things for the better. They gave me a sense of hope and motivation that I couldn’t find elsewhere. Even now, it amazes me how works of entertainment can profoundly impact a person’s life. I’ll always carry that gratitude šŸ™ŒšŸ»

I’ll always root for Lee Min Ho—he genuinely deserves it. As this article notes, he’s kept his life clean and made a lasting mark in the industry. My admiration isn’t just bias; he’s consistently proven his talent and character, and it’s heartwarming to see him still receiving just as much love, if not more, after all these years. I only wish the very best for him. And maybe one day, I’ll be lucky enough to attend one of his fan meetings—just to say thank you šŸ’–

This interview / article was fantastic—thoughtful, well-articulated, and a joy to read. I’m eagerly looking forward to the movie and seeing him back in action whenever it releases in my region ✨

I am not sure - this is just my assumption: I think the book she read and the events happening now are different.…
Dramas tend to do that - very often it plateaus in the end. Till now for me this drama has only dipped at Ep 3, and a little bit for Ep 10, 11. Really hoping the ending happens on a high note - at least in terms of acting, comedy and visuals this has been a great drama - and even the story so far has been tight. Let's hope they give us a great ending tomorrow!

The ending of Extraordinary You was really depressing so I hope they don’t go that route.
True - if you look it that way, it is sad. Who knows maybe for TFNWTD would be completely different - fingers-crossed!

I didn’t particularly enjoy it, but it wasn't depressing for me - after all, they do ultimately find each other. What I did appreciate was how realistic it felt within the fictional universe they inhabit. Despite being separated across different worlds, they manage to reunite every time, which beautifully conveys the strength of their bond. It's not the conventional ā€œhappily-ever-after,ā€ but the idea that they part ways only to meet again in new settings gives the story a profound emotional weight. It truly feels like a love that transcends time, age and even entire worlds. Also, considering that the original Sun Chaek chose to remain in the modern world, it suggests that ā€œKā€ continues on as Sun Chaek within the historical fictional realm. When that world concludes, either ML/FL would’ve spent a long and fulfilling life together and accept the ending (death as they grew older together), or they’ll meet once more in a different fictional world. It seems unlikely they'll ever return to the real world, and FL will find the ML there (that's what I'd love - like Splash Splash Love). Hence, within fictional world, their love story will find ways to continue - unless that kid - the creator/author has some magic tricks up his sleeve.

Ep 11 - okay this episode was good, suspenseful but a bit convoluted. I guess that is to be expected given it is the penultimate episode and the knots that are still there will be untied in the finale. I am also guessing this would be a Extraordinary You kind of of ending. Though, I wish we get something like Splash Splash Love ending - that would make me the happiest!Let's see how the finale episode ties everything together, tomorrow!

Phew - then am glad we connected back. Tbh, I am not able to make sense of the lines that run from an old comment to a new one. At times it comes not in order - so difficult to know, especially when one cannot use @ mentions. And ofc, I remember you - but yes I admit - have been slow to reply to all messages. Sorry about that! Till now even if it is a a familiar trope, am enjoying it so far. Its like a different rendition, you can say of the same kind of story.
