Prefer the coupling of TaeHwan and JiYeon as they seem real all be it seems to have derailed with TaeHwans awkwardness…
Oh no - I didn't mean she's playing games. I think she meant what she said - that they should meet other people as well. I instantly thought that maybe she did not like the date - which is what she explains in the solo scenes when they speak to the audience.
It is when TH asked if it is a test - got me thinking if it is - and the showmakers are also making us think and remain confuesed as to what JY wants.
My man - Kook Dong Ho, please don't waver and make me believe in you by being a single woman man! Jebal - Please! 🥹 While am personally simping over him as he's literally close to my own ideal type (handsome awkward nerd) - I want A Rin and him to end up together (even if it is till the credits roll in finale)
Si-An [in whiny voice]: Can't you be more gentle / sweet towards me? Jun-Seo: This is who I am. What can I do?
Like, seriously woman what do you want? The man literally fought for you and is saying that he's here for you. His confession about feeling bad for Min-Seol was honest imo (at least he's not hiding it). What does she want - to dip her in honey or she wanted him to show off fake/over the top affection in front of the other guy she was interested in?
Tbh - I was mad Jun Seo for falling head over heels for Si-an overnight but wishing he sees through this 2nd date and either goes solo or chooses Min-seol. I personally don't like this kind of clingy behaviour - like have some confidence woman and maybe accept the fact that the man could be tired after all that physical game. Have to really be like -__- and bear through their scenes...Le Sigh!

Oh I just came to that point [writing this as I watch Ep 9] I think Ji Yeon is very observant to him and also what she wants. After the first date when she told him that she feels they should see other people - I thought for a second that she really means it as she did not like her date with TaeHwan. But then you know how these shows go - and when TH said is this a test, even I thought - maybe?
But she totally confirmed in Ep 9 - she probably could be thinking that TH is not being honest, and just kept choosing her cause there was no one else. Although like you - I also think that in his awkwardness he did not see that he's simply speaking about himself and not being able to showcase his inner feelings well. Lets see how it goes...
I think we've already established that this drama is non realistic and focuses on the romance. In order to enjoy…
I am getting into C-dramas (slowly), if you have some recommendation (modern or republican era ones) that are realistic, please let me know. It is okay if they are not highly rated on MDL - sadly have realised over time that MDL rating are not true indicators.
Am sure you'll share awesome recs since we discussed what we liked/didn't for this current show :)
Ep 9 - The Double Date: I know the show directors as always made it The Si-an show, on how the two men are so different which is making her confused between them (*when will this end*)....but a lot of credit must be given to Choi You-Jin.
It can get a little annoying with her constant laughs/sound effects - but one cannot deny that she literally made the otherwise dreary scenario fun. In fact she did make Jeong-U have fun (*though I felt at that it was all for Si-an*) which is what they both intented to do. Basically she was the life of the party - or double date in this case. Along with her the men were having fun, whereas Si-an was acting (or shown to be) pissed - why? cause the guy she was with was being his authentic self and not showering her with gentleness. Like he was the same way before - gal just didn't see it and was in her girlcrush mode.
Ha, anyways - so glad at least 3 of them had fun, and as an audience You-Jin was really good in this situation - so credit where it is due! She made up for the weird swinging scene :P
PS: Call it the Si-an show, cause I mean afterall they made the double date for this purpose. Else the logical thing would have been to have third couple as well - but then Ji Yeon and Tae-hwan hardly get anytime so . . .
Will always remember her fondly as the Taiwanese counterpart of Geum Jandi (I saw Boys over Flowers Korean version first, followed by Japanese and Taiwanese). This is so sudden, and too soon, given she was just 48. May she rest in peace and her loved ones find strength to overcome this loss.
It is mentioned that "Li Zan feels guilty and blames himself for the death of his friend who sacrificed his life…
Noooooooo - I mean I have been complaining how some scenes in this drama are not realistic, in order to make the romance bloom. I have a love/hate relationship with those scenes.
So the only thing they should not be realistic about are the main cast members, their endings and of course take a detour from the novel ending T_T
My heart will break if at the end of 38 eps we are given an ending same as the novel, inducing a slump like no other for sure.
here's hoping that in spite of the lows they'll face going forward, they will overcome it and live happily ever after - and all should be alive. T_T

I really hope they change this in drama. I will cry and break if this happens. 38 episodes and this ending is not something my brain and heart can take. T_T
he's always been since his City Hunter days. But so glad that more and more people are getting under his charm…
Oh do watch all his past shows - I have been watching them in order since City Hunter - and you'll see again why he's so good and should have been a main cast way before.
But better late than never - so good to see him in Love Scout- and creating all the right buzz and waves! 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼
Oh I am also looking forward to "The Art of Sarah" - the plot synopsis is something I love, plus along with him as the ML it also has one of my favorite actresses - my Queen: Shin Hye Sun.
In fact - Shin Hye Sun was another underrated actress - who was either in Support roles or in dramas that were underrated. Mr Queen catapaulted her to a recognition from which there is so going back - and am so so glad that everyone realised her talent and gives her so much love!
It always makes you feel good when an actor/actress breaks through the series of "always the support cast" and finally their talents are recognised by many - though you followed them from their initial days. Byeon Woo Seok is another such actor for me - and so incredibly proud of all their journeys. They deserve it - and we'll keep cheering them on as fans :)

I totally had the same thought. Like I City Hunter in my early drama days and I was mooning over Lee Min Ho. But he in his honest SML role broke through that bubble and I sat up and took notice.
Afterwards I was always happy to see him in "Are You Human" "Designated Survivor" "Stranger" etc but it was always a support role. He had all the good things - the looks, acting, charisma - it was a shame that he wasn't in a main lead earlier. 365 days is his main lead role - but am unsure if it was a popular drama in its time.
So glad that Love Scout is doing well and I wish he becomes a household name and gets more and more projects as a main cast member - cause am sure we just cannot get enough of this talented handsome man!
LOL Sadly I agree, I mean I love this dramas and binge watching it all day but I have to shut up my brain. 😭🤣…
Just have to bear with it. Like you said even am grinning like a fool cause the actors are cute and the scene is overall fire . . . but then at what cause of being so far away from reality. But let's see maybe the second half will be more gritty, realistic as compared to now. Which is ironical but yeah - lets see :)
I think we've already established that this drama is non realistic and focuses on the romance. In order to enjoy…
That's a good perspective. I thought I was the only one who had to take a pause when the WTF moments happened. I did put it aside because I am relatively new C-dramas as compared to K/J Dramas & movies. Which is why I thought that maybe am reading too much into it and it might be just a normal phenomenon for regular C-drama viewers. But I guess - going by your comment that is not the case.
Like I literally had to pause, get up and walk around when Ep 8-9 bomb scene aftermath scene happened and the main leads are literally talking for 15 minutes in a place where bullets and bombs were just exploding. I mean - I loved the deep talks and how it is actually bringing them closer - but it could have very well been done, had they taken shelter - maybe she could have been by his bedside as his wounds got treated and had this heart-to-heart chat.
Really perplexed - but onwards we go into this drama. Love it, but these scenes make me cringe a bit LOL and therefore am sure it will creep in my overall experience of the show.

This is so informative - thank you so much for sharing all this. I did not know the background details...I mentioned somewhere in one of my comments I landed on this drama cause of CZY. I have had a hard time completing any of his dramas cause of the plot, but really really wanted to. Here I am and let's see how it goes.
Thanks for sharing the links too - I'll be sure to check them out :)
Please, feel free to leave your thoughts more often! I really enjoy reading comments that actually engage with…
Haha, I agree - while I am surprised to see her acting way too lovestruck/crushing hard on the ML and literally forgetting things that she's supposed to be doing... I remind myself that there is a saying "Love makes you do strange things" and then this is dramaland, so I guess have to overlook it. Its cute - so pass :)

That's all that matters at this point.
