Haha, sorry for the disappointment. I hope you give them a try, most of them are very calming dramas!
Oh not a disappointment - it is a compliment! Thank you for writing such a clever article - and yes, will definitely try and watch these dramas. Sometimes calm scenic on-screen frames is all we need!
Mystery Behind Cha Chung Hwa's role - Is she another supernatural character? Regarding Cha Chung Hwa's role as…
Could she be - FATE?
Reasons for me thinking this: 1/ She definitely knows more than she is shows 2/ Always talks in cryptic way/riddles 3/ Kind of giving hints to the main leads - and they are happening over time 4/ Fates in literature are described as - " In art, the Fates were originally portrayed as attractive women. However, in later forms of art, they started to be shown as older women with a serious demeanor and holding a spindle or the dice of fate, or sometimes writing down the fate of humans. In literature, they tended to be depicted as older women."
The above kind of fits the bill for Cha Chung Hwa's role depiction in this show. Though Fates are mainly depicted as 3 women, but The Three Fates developed from one singular Moira (Fate or Destiny) - so maybe this could be that.
5/ But since this is Korean show, she could also be Samsin halmeoni (Korean: 三神 할머니), the Grandmother Samsin, is the triple goddess of childbirth and fate in Korean mythology.
Overall, she definitely has a larger role to play, I feel and hope so, and not just nudge the characters like she is at the moment.
Especially now that in Ep7-8, our Demon is in critical condition, it definitely needs the work of Fate to help?
Mystery Behind Cha Chung Hwa's role - Is she another supernatural character?
Regarding Cha Chung Hwa's role as a homeless person - I first thought it is just a cameo, given how popular and amazing she is as an actress. This was when we first see her but over time I have a feeling she is not just a cameo, but serves a greater purpose.
What do others think? (Adding details under spoiler tag in first comment)
@DaliaB, This is such an amazingly put article! For a moment I thought MDL is actually collaborating with a travel agency 🤣 for us broke souls! But this is so beautifully drafted and am yet to see these dramas, so these scenic depictions are definitely a further temptation to watch! ❤️🔥
While I was watching My Lovely Liar I kept saying to myself this actor looks familiar but I never seen him in…
Oh you are at the amazing Ep 8! Well then do complete it and do share how you liked it. I don't want to spoil it but I had mixed feels about it at the end, I jotted it down in my review here: https://kisskh.at/profile/omo-omo-omo/reviews/305141
But I would love to know what others think too, it gives me perspective and who knows if I rewatch it - I will see what others liked/disliked/observed differently.
I can understand, work is hectic for all I am guessing - given the year end and incoming winter break! Hope your work schedule lightens up and you finish this drama soon!
I have seen and like the FL too - and Tale of Nokdu is one of my favorite shows. Am glad you liked it too!
Thoughts after seeing Ep 7 - Eeeep! (Putting it as a comment under spoiler tag)So much happening in this drama,…
# 1. The Romance Build-Up: So many cute moments in this drama. EEEEPPP! Blushing, curling my toes and literal butterflies in my stomach too (not just on the dress). The main leads are so beautiful and cute! The second leads hilariously adorable 💖
BTW - Did anyone feel that almost kiss between main leads was more sensual than the ending one?
# 2. Grandfather & Masked Man (Past): I think the grandfather is the reincarnation of the masked man, or his ancestors were related to the masked man. Masked Man - The one who was asked to give arsenic by the past mother-in-law, and one who threw PYW in the well.
# 3. Who Tried to Ruin the Show? Models & Finale Dress. I think it was grandfather. He does not want KTH to be with PYW. Probably cause of the past guilt - like I mentioned above. He (His past self/ancestors) amassed a lot of wealth by working together with evil mother-in-law to get that virtuous woman award. Hence, he has the pocket watch, the painting and other old Joseon stuff. He realises that PYW is from the past or recalls her name from his ancestors/old books. Its either his guilt or a forewarning by his ancestors that is making behave so. It could also be his twisted way of thinking he can save KTH. Also, KTH is going against him slowly, so he took a hit on his ego and lashed out in this way - to try and show that he is still the boss, and KTH should listen to him only.
# 4. Who leaked the design to another online shop? Either Grandfather, but Ha Na seems seems more guilty. Especially since she came to should at PYW next day. I hope Tae Min finds out on this, cause he quietly passed away from that scene in office - but knowing him, he is probably digging dirt on Ha Na in the background! #GoTaeMin!
# 5. What's up with Creepy Stalker and now Delulu Ha Na? Fine your boss complimented you - so now you think you own him? Or become so delulu that you try and sabotage his wife and work of the company? She is just plain weird and I still cannot understand her or her actions. Whenever she comes onscreen my face just goes 😑🤨🤔 Like what is she expecting? And that not sharing the chocolate - even school kids know better, and are not so petty #BOOOOO -Ha Na!
# 6. KTH will show PTW the world only to break up? I can see it in the sneak peak for Ep 8. And also cause we are at the end of the drama. The usual formula when everything is going great, we need a roadblock. In the form of one of the main leads sacrificing/hiding their love in order to "save the other from being hurt" URGGHHH - I wish they wouldn't cause I can't handle the angst, and especially cause we know they would end up together - waiting for Ep 9 next week would be torture.
But given the direction and preview - it seems to be moving in that way. Since KTH also knows of the past, he is going to ask PYW to leave him and chart her own path, since he is a sick man and if he dies, PYW will be hurt all over again.
In Summary - this is such an exciting show so far and has raised the bar on so many levels. They better deliver on it, and I hope it keeps us on the edge till the end with a grand and satisfying happy ending! 🤞🏼💖

Haha! Thanks for reading/seeing the post. How did you like the drama - My Lovely Liar ? (you can share in spoiler tag - I have seen it already, but would love to know how others thought of it...)
it is probably going to kill me and test my will power - but seeing that the next episode (5th) will be out after almost 3 weeks, I think I better start it then.
I have anticipated so much for this drama, that I don't think I will be able to survive the wait. I see it ending on 5 Jan - so next 5-8 episode will come out together?
Thank you - @xmag @Gone @SandGirl_Nicky @kaysi_mochi @Kate for your inputs. Really appreciate them! Basis your…
Thank you and I will check out your review. Yes, I am currently watching : The Story of Park's Marriage Contract (TBH - it is going so well), My Demon and A Good Day to be a Dog. Boyhood is on my list too from the airing ones.
Except for My Demon and AGDTBAD - I am 100% sure the other 2 will be good. AGDTBAD is good but the wait is killing me.
OMO - I just posted about a third pair. A few others from my end - I have made the posts for them all in case anyone wants to check the photos. What do others think? Are they similar or am I delulu 🤣
Since the show is ending soon (today/tomorrow)...is it a BINGE or SKIP?I am a fan of historical/reincarnation/revenge-to-lovers…
Thank you - @xmag @Gone @SandGirl_Nicky @kaysi_mochi @Kate for your inputs. Really appreciate them!
Basis your opinions, other reviews and comments today - I think I will park this drama. The negative/neutral factors outweigh the positives 😅. Onto other dramas then for the Christmas break!
Since the show is ending soon (today/tomorrow)...is it a BINGE or SKIP?
I am a fan of historical/reincarnation/revenge-to-lovers trope but am skeptical as for this drama the Reviews/Comments are mixed here, so would really love to know from those who are about to finish it.
But let me know if:
1) Is the story is good - tight plot, good cliffhangers, fleshed out characters and not draggy? 2) is the mystery engaging throughout, not over the top or worse predictable? 3) is the romance believable or just another cardboard cut-outs placed in the same frame? 4) were you excited within the first 2 episodes or not?
It's the end of the year & a break coming up soon, I rather use my time well, and hence asking 😊🙏🏼
P.S. I don't mind MINOR Spoilers - but if you do share, please use the spoiler tag. TIA! P.P.S: I don't love, but like/am okay with the main leads of this drama - having seen their other work (Penthouse, Extraordinary You, Taxi Driver, VIP) and appreciate them.
It's December and still waiting for Ep 7 and onwards to be subbed T_T Really hope the subber has recovered from their injury and take up this task again. I feel guilty for asking this - but then this show was going so great
Anyone know the latest news or any other place where it is out with subs?
1. Did Ha-Eun really travel to all those places in real? If so, when did she do that? I am confused - as I thought…
Hi - Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Really appreciate the time you took to go through my questions and share your views!
It has been a while since I watched the film and posted the question. In between I have gone through other MDL Comments. Reddit posts and other drama blogs etc. Along with your views as well - I am in a better place now, in terms of understanding where earlier I stood confused, so thank you for that. While some of the character's choices still remain questionable in my eyes - it is all good, cause that's my perspective and I now understand others' view of it as well.
In the end, as you mentioned - this movie can be interpreted differently by different viewers, and I think that is one of the points that is beautiful about this narrative! h❤️
