JCW and DKS - powerhouses of acting and good looks. Add the genre of revenge which is one of my favs - so how can I resist? Excited to watch this show, hopefully the story and execution matches the expectation that's building up for it 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Also, this is a remake of "Fabricated City" which was an old work of JCW and I had watched it but it was meh, in spite of my love for JCW. Really hoping this one redeems the past work and is a hit!

Finished S3 and have a lot of thoughts - but the main three are: 1) looks like even this series is going to have…
Questions: 1. Understand that Borderland is purgatory - but then why is the judgement between who lives and dies from here-onwards, based on games? And also games that are borderline cruel? 2. Who made these games? The Watcher is just a caretaker of sorts - so who's the creator? 3. Citizens are players who chose to stay. I am assuming even the staff that's monitoring the games are also past players - I want to know what is the incentive they got to choose to live in Borderland and not go back? 4. Further - Citizens and Staff are there, so there must be some kind of "Supervisor" who guides them. Was it The Watcher, or someone else? 5. The whole realm of Borderland is not created via science, or kidnapped in actual. It is their soul/consciousness that travels. So there is an element of supernatural, then why is there so much technology in use in the games, and who is managing them? And who is teaching others on how to use it? 6. Was the Joker Card defeated? And are there 2 cards or one to defeat? 7. Banda is dead, then what about - Yaba Ouki, where is he and up to? Is he the other Joker representative, like Banda (they are not Jokers as Watcher said its a card, not an entity) 8. Looks like there would be S4 - or a global version to this show, as the games are bound to continue - since cycle of life/death will continue. And the last scene was all about Earthquakes, and the US men sitting near the window of the restaurant - was giving such a "Final Destination" vibe
Finished S3 and have a lot of thoughts - but the main three are:
1) looks like even this series is going to have a US/Europe adaptation just like "Squid Games"
2) I almost screamed with joy seeing the actor playing the role of "The Watcher". As he came onscreen, it was blurred at first and then came into focus. I was really praying that it is one of the well-known J-actors we know of, and as soon as I heard his voice, even in blur - I knew who it was. He is one of the most well known Japanese actors so I was wondering why he was not in this franchise that has such a global reach. Guess the longing was answered in this season. Not taking his name in case its a mild spoiler but just FYI - his initials are KW.
3) For me Season 1 > Season 2 > Season 3.

This is entirely basis the live action. I have not read the manga, but know what's in it via social media posts/websites. Anyone who's completed the series, would love to know your thoughts on it - feel free to share :)
IKR! It was so enjoyable that didn't realise that it is almost at the end. And yes, very happy to seen it as well, they should keep making fun dramas like that.
I love it - but I really hope he chooses a good project. It is always not easy to match the hype of a popular and well done drama, like the ongoing "Bon Appetit"
On a side note - am so happy that he's getting these offers. I have liked him since I saw him in "See you in my 19th Life" His role was minor there, but he had a strong impression - mainly cause of his handsome looks, but also cause even in that limited time, he definitely had a great acting potential.
Which is why I started the drama "Hierarchy" for him - but it was a disaster. He was good, but the script/story etc was so bad - that the entire drama should be purged from everyone's memories.
Which is why I was skeptical to start Bon Appetit - but glad I did, and so did many others, cause he is really shined in this drama, and as we can see from the article, the effects are there.
So happy when people get their due - I am sure there's a lot of hardwork and hope that had gone for him as well, to get that "one-moment-that-changed-it-all". For Lee Chae Min, it was "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty" and I wish to see him in more great and fun projects! He is definitely one of the good actors to watchout for - talent + looks 🍀⭐🥰
the cover ate cant wait for this its still undecided if i want to watch because its not the type of genre i generally…
I was just about to say the same - and saw your comment. The cover is what brought me here, and so is the cast - I have liked their previous work. But the plot synopsis doesn't really excite me, so let's see how it is received before deciding if want to watch it or not.
So glad I started this drama - it is really very good. And all the things I was skeptical about the FL (because of K2), the ML (because of Hierarchy) and thought it might be a copy/similar to Mr Queen. But this drama is so different, refreshing and fun!
I love the main leads, and ofc the kitchen gang - and Oh Eui Shik as Song Jae in his comedic avatar and banter with the King. But am waiting to see when this drama takes a serious note, and I guess we will get a lot of action in Ep 7.
Man - after a VERYYY LONG time, finally we have a drama for which am eagerly waiting for the new episode to come fast. Really hope the drama doesn't falter towards the end, and ends on a high note!
I totally agree. The drama started well, but the story became fragmented with details that were completely illogical.…
It was disappointing a little bit for sure - especially when you went in with such a good premise and cast. It had its moments but the cons were more than the pros. Sad!
I am so happy to see that the story is unique with some similarities ofc, Yoona's really amazing (thank God - I will purge her K2 acting from my mind now), and the ML - is amazing, am so glad that he has got such a good project, the last one I saw - the drama itself was such a disaster (Hierarchy) that I could not even admire his handsome looks or acting. But here - Oh My, My Majesty is slaying!!
I am watching this drama now - here because of CZY 💖 I am on Ep 10 - and just a random observation, the FL's hair looked better before she got the bangs. Like why would she want to change an already cute hairstyle, to a non-cute one 😅
1. yoona had improved so much since K2. Somehow since the movie EXIT, she had improved so much. 2. not sure abt…
Hating the wait - that is an important factor as well. I will also wait for it to air some more and then give it a try. From the comments and given the premise - it looks like a drama that is right in my alley - I will keep aside the blockers that I had in mind for the actors' past works.
We had a Watch Party 🍿 for this drama, and K2 came up multiple times. the consensus was that it was an earlier…
Yes, looks like it - but sometimes articles can be misleading and so I wanted to ask here on MDL. I think I have a good idea now - and will give this one a try for sure!
Don't base Yoona's acting on The K2. That entire drama was a disaster. She was so much better in King the Land
Given the comments on my OP - I think I will give this a try. But after a while - once it airs some more episodes. And yes, I love Yoona from SNSD - but her role in K2 was very bad that put me off any other projects. But looks like I can give this a try and my original love of idol Yoona can be maintained as actress Yoona. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Thank you so much I needed a comment like yours - given the past dramas that these actor and actress have had, made me really wonder if this is worth a shot. But given your explanation on how both of them are shining in a comedic role, and the first 2 episodes - will keep in mind, and positive light. Thank you for sharing!
