Someone did explain this on reddit.Hope it helps.https://www.reddit.com/r/koreanvariety/comments/1q4ogmp/comment/ny6hno9/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
OMO! This was exactly what I was looking for! I have always been interested in Zodiac Signs, just to read about the various versions/stories - be it western or Chinese. So this is really great - thank you so much! β€οΈπŸ‘

this is my comfort J-drama - I wish it was more widely available. Every time I have to watch it on new platforms, cause its not available in my region on mainstream platforms T_T

I think you're looking way to deep into this πŸ˜…as I understood it it's just that when you share the same zodiac…
hahaha maybe - but then I totally didn't understand why zodiac signs had to be brought to intensify the point of 12 years difference. Like we all know what "12" means - its like you're saying the same thing but with different ways.

but then I thought maybe Idk if there is some cultural context to it. Like if it means a bad thing to be the same zodiac sign and hence I wanted to ask here.

Damn, Lomon looks really nice in that pair of glasses and especially this image: https://i.mydramalist.com/l0kNpQ_2f.png

I am yet to see his other works, but the first I saw was "Sweet Revenge" (he was also called Solomon that time). Have not seen his other works, but have heard about them and its incredible to see the run he's had. Not sure if I'll watch it - but if the reviews/comments are good, will love to see him in the upcoming drama: No Tail to Tell. Looks like he really gets roles in foxes and wolves themed dramas 🦊🐺

Can anyone explain what the MC meant - why it is so hard, if the person shares the same zodiac symbol as you. I know about the 12 Chinese zodiac signs and what the context is but why would that be difficult.

Scene Context: One of the MC says that Bonhee's brother is 11 years younger and Mujin is 12 years younger, so they share the zodiac sign. Then the other MC says that it would have been better if he was even more younger and then it can be treated as irrelevant, like how does it matter.

What am not able to understand - just like 13-14 years will be irrelevant, why cant 12 years be seen the same. Also what's the whole being same zodiac sign not that great? Is it like superstitious or bad luck? I mean wouldn't it be nice to have the same zodiac sign - that means you're more similar people, if one believes in them and the traits and other things. Like I get it, in general it means you are people with similar traits - both good and bad. So its a good thing cause your strengths multiply, but then so does your weakness. But then isn't that true for everyone in general, what the zodiac angle with the 12 difference going to change?

idk i still think if mujin met sohyun first, he'll still be attracted to bonhee. and also, when we like someone,…
could be - could be - we'd never know what really went on in their minds/hearts or as per script. Yes, that's what I feel that Mujin is super comfortable with both women, more so with Bonhee cause of obvious reasons and time spent. But Bonhee is not that comfortable anymore, like her expressions are more guarded.

Not sure if it is for real, or done deliberately for the show given its last few episodes, that makes the audience keep guessing if they will choose each other or not.

Also, I am not across whether this show is over, and if anyone is together still - assuming the filming must have been done earlier. The other show that I saw in similar genre was Single's Inferno, and apart from 1-2 couples that I have seen across seasons, I think no one stuck around. So if anyone knows, please share the links to news πŸ˜‚

It's really easy to start seeing real life scenes in such shows, we tend to get so invested. Which is a great thing, and kudos to the show creators and participants. I just everyone is happy with their choices, and so are we as an audience!

I get what you mean. I said something similar a while back. For me, MJxBH was mutual physical attraction from…
Conflicted and will have to wait till Monday (of all days) to know the final choice. I have an inkling of what the final decision would be like, but personally IRL I think MJxSH would be better. Though even SH is more concerned about the other SH. Sang Hyeon - I am as confused about his choices, as I am with Sang Won. The Sang bros are really a tough one 🀣 Like how did they end up suddenly like one woman so passionately, as if a switch was turned on. Didn't feel that natural to me, even by variety show standards.
On Noona, You Are a Woman to Me Jan 7, 2026
I have been racking my brains to recall who does Mujin look like/resemble. While there is no clear answer - but I feel when he is not wearing his glasses and has no expression face, he looks a bit like Kim Jung Hyun. And when he is doing his cheeky smiles, for some reason he reminds me of Baekhyun from EXO.
On Noona, You Are a Woman to Me Jan 7, 2026
On Ep 10 - honestly, I was (am?) rooting for Bonhee-Mujin to be endgame. But then I saw the Daytime date of So Hyun-Mujin, and even I am conflicted.

See, Mujin in general is (shown) caring, conscious, good conversationalist. Which he showed to both the women whenever the chance came up. Keeping this general factor aside, its like:
1. With Bonhee - he is like a love-sick puppy. He follows her around.
2. With So Hyun - it felt effortless, their random chat on sofa (I personally found the conversation more deep and meaningful), their skating rink time and return and daytime date.

Further, the fact that Bonhee is clearly disturbed by the age-gap, even when Mujin is trying to make light of the situation, makes me wonder if they are really end game. Like it was said on the show - it was all about timing, had Mujin met So Hyun first, am sure it would have been them ending up together.

And while am typing all this - am thinking - why am I so invested in this variety show and what happens? 🀣🀣🀣
Replying to yllers Jan 7, 2026
That was weird to me, too. If the show was about an age gap, why would they think the age difference would be…
Exactly. I just finished Ep 5, and this is a repetitive theme. Also I have ended up seeing some reels/posts on social media and reddit, on one of the popular couple who have the 12 year age gap. Of course there will be hue and cry. But my point is why - that was the whole reason you made this show.

I know this is a variety show, and as much as I hope its not - but know that a lot of it is always scripted. So why couldn't they script it better? πŸ˜… No issue with the participants but rather the focus seems to be off.

What do you want to give the message as: Age doesn't matter if the difference is <5 years. Like I find weird, frustrating and funny at the same time.

And yet, it is SUPER ADDICTIVE! So just going to be here sip my tea and watch the on-screen tea unfold!

Title Idol I
I have a feeling that she is being forced to see the real him, the flawed human, and she cannot react in the same…
Oh that's an interesting take - and I can see it as well :)
On Noona, You Are a Woman to Me Jan 6, 2026
I have just started this show - and one thing seems very weird to me as I watch Ep 1.
For a show that starts with the tag/quotes "age doesn't matter to me" - as they show the men in the preview of the show, and the fact they are here means age does not matter to them - then why are they at the middle of the show expressing sensitivity around age. Plus one of the tasks would be to guess the ages in chamber of secret room.

I understand that the Korean society gives a lot of importance to age - that's one of the first things people usually ask when meeting someone new, cause that's how the rest of the interaction proceeds. I hope they don't make the entire show around this fact only - and that there's more focus on personality and other factors, and the outcome is that age is actually irrelevant when you find someone on the same wavelength as you.

Title Idol I Spoiler
[1] Theory: Kwak Jong Cheol [Byeong Gyeon's father] would have been involved in framing Maeng Se Na's father wrongly…
That seems like the only thing plausible. But that's like making a mountain out of a molehill. Guess, its expected since she's supposed to be blocker in some shape or form.

Title Idol I
Maybe its because I have recently seen and liked Yumi's Cells - the aspect on how cells react to our actions - I really wanted this show to do that for Maeng Se Na, everytime she interacts with Do Ra-Ik (at least the romantic / cute scenes). I mean after all she's a sincere fangirl and while we know she's controlling it in front of him, it would have been interesting and hilarious to know - hear at least if not see, her inner fangirling voice and thoughts. πŸ˜‚

I know its not done cause its not such a show, plus Maeng Se Na is a serious lawyer and so drama is portraying that than being a delulu fangirl.

Title Idol I Spoiler
Theories & Questions after Ep 5 and 6. Adding them under as a comment, under spoiler tag. Anyone who's seen…
[1] Theory: Kwak Jong Cheol [Byeong Gyeon's father] would have been involved in framing Maeng Se Na's father wrongly in a murder case. Going by what Hong Hye Ju's father hinted at in Ep 5.

[2] Question: In Ep 6, we see a flashback of Hong Hye Ju and Do Ra Ik fighting and then she leaves him. I am more confused cause I did not understand what was she mad about? What we understood from the earlier episode was that the evil reporter comes to Ra Ik's agency and shows the photos of Hye Ju with Ra Ik. Then he goes on to show photos of Hye Ju with other men as well. We are not shown but we come to understand from the reporter that Do Ra Ik made some kind of contract and deal which was unfavorable to him, but helped not disclose any photos. He did that to protect Hye Ju. Then why and what is Hye Ju accusing him of in this episode. She accuses him that he ruined her life, left her alone, didn't acknowledge her, etc. Like what and how is that any reason? Or is it something else that I have not understood cause its lost in translation/subtitles?

[3] Just an epiphany - was wondering till date on why is it called IDOL "I" - like why the letter I. Was it like I am an IDOL - shortened as IDOL, I. But that would be grammatically weird. Just saw the other names and understood - it is IDOL "AAI" - where aai means child in Korean. Hence also called Idol Child. But I think again because of translation, it became shortened as "I" - is this also correct or something else?

[4] Theory: The CEO Geum Bo Sang - he's definitely more involved than he is leading on. Given the fact that it has come to light that Kang U Seong was the one trying to sign a contract with another agency and also bring in the other members - who knows maybe Geum Bo Sang had him killed or killed him himself. Looks like he is not someone who has empathy (remember the first scene he threw water on Do Ra-Ik's face) and also someone who uses others (the way he bought off Do Ra Ik as a child)

Title 10Dance
I just saw a reel of NetflixJP and learnt about this movie. Immediately looked up the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iZZGBMlFbc and OMG!!! I so want to watch it now ❀️

I have seen and loved both the lead actors - have seen Machida in a BL "Cherry Magic" and there is no further intro needed, he's one of the diverse/talented actors having seen many of his works. Ryoma I have only seen in "Overprotected Kahoko" and he was exceptional there. I also know he's done well in Like A Dragon: Yakuza, Love you as the World Ends, even if I'm yet to watch them.

Just the trailer was so freaking πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯I hope the actual film is on same level if not better, cause while the rating is high, the comments/reviews are quite mixed.

Title Who Are You
Cha Joo Young's agency, Ghost Studio, stated, "Cha Joo Young has received an offer to appear in 'Who Are You'…
Is it this Cha Joo Young - https://kisskh.at/people/10627-cha-joo-young?
If so, this will be interesting pair up, they played mother/son in The Queen who Crowns πŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒ

Okay, so it was a very small part in the entire drama, so if this is the same CJY, and she accepts the role, then it will interesting to see them work together again for this drama.
