Wait, no, there is another thing. Pawin is so beautiful and not that bad of an actor actually, I don't understand how he's not more popular.

Agreed that PerthChimon was the highlight of Never Let Me Go, even with the 5 minutes of shared screen time they got, which is why I'm so disappointed that I'm not buying them in this show. The only explanation I have is that in NLMG they didn't have any outright romantic scenes so Chimon never looked uncomfortable. They mostly communicated with looks and light verbal flirting, which they're both good at, so we never saw the pitfall of their pairing. Chimon has explicitly stated in the past that he doesn't want to do BL, so it's still a mystery to me as to why he's staring in one.

As for the plot, I was really on board in the beginning. The writing was more clever than what we usually get in high school BL's, and the bullying scenes were realistic to an extend. But it really devolved into cliché, all-over-the-place stuff after a couple of episodes. I don't mind that they're focusing on the unhealthy aspect of their relationship, but in my opinion it is done in an immature, superficial way. I guess as I get older and watch more series my standards have been raised.

I watched every episode, I love Chimon and Perth to DEATH and adored them as a couple in Never Let Me Go (in which they had almost no explicit romance but people loved them anyway, by the way), I love low-romance high-action shows, I prefer subtle gestures and tension over full on make out sessions, bromance is crack cocaine to me, I had no expectations regarding the plot of this show (didn't even watch the pilot) and I LOVED the first two episodes. I still think their chemistry is not working (mainly because Chimon looks uncomfortable as all hell as soon as they get closer, which I refuse to believe is an artistic choice lmao) and the plot is not captivating enough to make up for it. What's your analysis of my case?

Soooo... Love in the Air with cars. I'm so in lmao. Pavel is even more gorgeous than I remember. No but really, like jesus, the teasers slapped me right in the face. Now I just need the plot to stand on its legs and the director to keep his braincells in check and we're golden.

It seems like they dubbed some scenes post-prod, which was quite distracting. Otherwise, it exceeded my very low expectations.

It’s alright, you’re obviously very young, you still have time to learn what second degree and plot holes are.

My problem with Perth and Chimon’s kisses was not that it was a “high school” type of kiss. It was that Chimon was grimacing, keeping his lips pressed tight together, looking like he wanted to be anywhere but there. Dude can’t act out romantic physical affection and people noticing that just means they’ve got working vision.

I’m skipping everything except the scenes Marc and Pawin are in so, yes, they’re carrying. For others it might be a hyperbole to express that they’re more into their development than the main couple’s. Jesus, what is it with people taking everything literally in this comment section?

Marc and Pawin having had a poor series before does not negate that their character in this one have a nice storyline. And attacking people’s choice of profile picture, really? You just made yourself look like a foolish teenager at best.

The way some people in this comment section take everything literally makes me think they’re pre-teens at best. Which would check out: they lack the experience to realise this series is full of nonsense and awkward, grimacing kisses do not equal chemistry.

I’m pretty sure people know the difference and are calling this series a bromance as a hyperbole.

There was more in that GuyNawa fight and hug scene than in all of Perth and Chimon’s scenes combined. Now that’s how you do enemies to friends/lovers: bittersweet and with subtle but meaningful changes. I’m this close to thinking that their part was supervised by an entirely different crew.

I hope this means another series for Marc and Pawin, hopefully with a good director and script!

Honestly, that bothered me just as much as the amateurish acting and light speed pace.
