Tong is gay. He came out as gay. It's so weird to me how people still think he had to "come out" as an ally. He came out as a member of the community and even mentioned how his brothers were supportive and embraced him. But people are still convinced that he was just saying he's an ally.

In the manga Kouki lived his life and the angel waited for him. When the shot pulls back, you see that Kouki lived a long life and grew to be an old man before they were reunited. But now they get to be together forever. (Not sure if that's what they did in the drama, but I hope the implication is similar. Trying to work up the nerve to watch it.)

If you read the manga it was based on, I'm sure that'll help. I haven't seen the drama yet, but the ending of the manga is apparently very similar, and that was both sad and beautiful. Very bittersweet rather than bitter. I cried at the final shot...

I highly doubt it got canceled. WeTV JUST announced it. I'm guessing it won't air until next year, but it'd be strange if it didn't air at all.

That wasn't Satang, that was Papang, who seems to play a bad guy in the show. Also he's abusing his wife, the blond girl, which is bad, of course, but I don't think it was sexual assault.

PS I Hate You was last year. This person is venting over the lack of good non-BL stuff in 2023.

Yeah, I'm not sure what that was about, but it looks like it still hasn't gotten an official date. :/ Hopefully they share it soon, since it's supposed to air this month. I guess we'll see.

I'm so excited! AND so relieved they aren't sticking with that original name. XD But this trailer looks fantastic, and I can't believe Boss is involved too! He's popping up all over the place lately, and I am not complaining. I hope there's a secondary BL couple with all the hot guys involved, but I'm just happy we're getting stuff like this at all! I can't believe we went from no vampire BLs in 2021 to five upcoming vampire BLs in 2024.

Oh wow, I almost forgot today was the Wabi Sabi expo! I need to look at their line up. Thanks for alerting me of this, my head is a bit foggy right now so I keep losing track of stuff. I'm so excited that two actors I liked got cast! I was really hoping. Since they haven't revealed the others yet, maybe some more did too. Only it seems pretty clear that the information about these being based on horror novels was incorrect. XD I kind of guessed, but oh well. I'm still excited. Hopefully it'll be good.

Seriously! I really wish that were a topic more BLs addressed in a careful, considerate way. Especially since the romance genre in general, regardless of gender pairings, is full of toxic behavior being coded as romantic. It'd be nice to start a discussion about how this could happen, how it can go, how it can be avoided/escaped.

That finale really was just incredibly tone deaf. I laughed because it was so ridiculous. It's like the first part of the show didn't impact the second at all, other than the fact that scenes from it were rehashed for 25 minutes.

EXACTLY! That's what I thought and hoped it was maybe hinting at from that scene, like you said. Like why even include that if you weren't gonna explore it? This story had so much potential, and it breaks my heart that it was just crapped out and slapped together with some paste and construction paper.

I have a theory that the script for this show was only five pages long, but they weren't gonna let a little thing like not actually having any story content hold them back.

That's a MMF poly throuple though, just so you know (still a great show!). I heard there's a MMM throuple in Unforgotten Night. We'll get some decent throuple action eventually!

I love how half of episode 14 was just the same scenes from episode 13 played over and over again. This could have been an interesting concept, but the writing, editing, and directing were just not it. The second half is so abrupt and random that it was more comical than emotional. Who came up with this?

Honestly, with a better writer and a darker focus, this could have been great. They could have cut so much of the content that was just flashbacks of stuff we'd already seen and long, awkward pauses in conversations. Then they could have turned that toward plot and development. There were all of these little tidbits sprinkled throughout that seemed to imply something deeper going on. But as I feared, they were just glossed over and ultimately unimportant. Such a strange experience.
