Well yes, I'm aware that the countries on those ones aren't listed, as I was the one who put them there. There…
Ah okay, I see where you got confused. It was aired in two parts, but season 2 in this case is referring to a continuation that hasn't aired yet. I don't think they've even started filming. So yep, expect a sequel, but also keep in mind that things sometimes fall through.
That Kiseki is a different production. It's a Taiwanese show that's airing soon, whereas the pending KISEKI is Thai and has only just been announced. I know, it's a bit confusing.
As you can see, things can sometimes have the same name, and there's a chance that that play has nothing to do with the film announcement. If you're curious, you should check IMDB every few months to see if a page is created for it. I believe it was a film rather than a show.
At the top, you list a show from India, "A Nice Indian Boy". I did a Google search for it and found a US stage…
Well yes, I'm aware that the countries on those ones aren't listed, as I was the one who put them there. There are character limits in the description section, so I only have so much room (hence the imdb link). Everything in the "No MDL Page Yet" section means just that, that we're waiting on the pages, which are pending. My Drama List only covers certain Asian countries, which I mentioned in the description. If a title isn't under a country (like India or Vietnam), that means it's a country covered by MDL. You can narrow them down to the seven that are listed on this site: Thailand, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, The Philippines, Hong Kong, and China, from most likely to least likely. You're free to ask if you're curious. Otherwise, you'll just have to wait for the page to go through or look them up yourself.
The Indian entry was a recent announcement. I list what's announced but don't always have all of the details. Lack of info could mean it was a misunderstanding or rumor, but more likely it's just in the very early stages without a lot of buzz. It could be very indie or not yet in English-speaking searches for example. If more info arises to suggest it doesn't fit, it'll be moved to the proper list or removed entirely.
I'm not sure what you're asking about The Promise, but the second season was announced recently. A coinciding page doesn't yet exist on the site. If you're trying to tell me that they altered the original page to include both, I'll check to see if that's the case, but MDL doesn't usually cluster seasons together on a single page.
WARNING: This is about to get SUPER nerdy, but I love data, so... here you go. In the event that other people might want to know what the trend with multiple BLs airing from GMMTV might look like, here's the breakdown.
When Not Me aired, it overlapped with Bad Buddy, which was the first time GMMTV aired two BLs at the same time. (Dec 2021-Jan 2022)
From there, Enchante aired while Not Me aired. (Jan 2022-Mar 2022)
They were replaced by Cupid's Last Wish and the Star and Sky series. (Mar 2022-May, 2022)
The second half of Star and Sky did briefly air on its own for a few weeks before it was joined by Vice Versa. (Jul 2022)
When Star and Sky ended, Vice Versa again very briefly aired on its own before it was airing at the same time as The Eclipse. (Aug 2022-Oct 2022)
During all of that, P.S. I Hate You was airing (Aug 2022-Sep 2022), and that had a BL storyline, but it was pretty minor, it seems. Once Vice Versa and The Eclipse ended, there was no BL at all for several weeks. (Nov 2022)
Then it came back with My School President, which was soon joined by Never Let Me Go shortly after. Also, The Warp Effect, while not a BL, had a strong m/m storyline, so we sort of got three at once while that was happening. (Dec 2022-Feb 2023)
Oh wait! I was wrong! We DID get three BLs airing at the same time, because NLMG and MSP were still airing when Moonlight Chicken began. (Feb 2023-Mar 2023)
Then A Boss and a Babe aired on its own for several weeks before Our Skyy 2 came out. (Apr 2023-May 2023)
I thought Be My Favorite would be the first since 2021 to completely air entirely on its own with no other BL overlap, based on all of the other shows (minus Cherry Magic) only starting to film in June. But I'm glad they weren't gonna let us go that long without two gay shows to watch.
Also, just realized Our Skyy 2 was still airing when Be My Favorite started, so yeah, no BLs have completely aired alone since late 2021. There were the few dead weeks in November without any BL, and then I'd say there were maybe eight or nine weeks where only one show was airing, but the vast majority of the time, two were airing (say 39 out of 52, which is 75% of the time), and none of the shows ever fully aired by themselves.
Again, this is only here for fellow data nerds should any happen by. Feel free to ignore this if you don't care about that sort of thing, but I like that things are changing in a positive way at GMMTV.
Actually, since late 2021 (like December), airing two at a time has generally been the standard. We've run into little patches here and there where it's only one for a few weeks, but it's now much more common for them to air two at a time, rather than one at a time. Which is great. Maybe someday we'll luck out and it'll be three. (Haha, dream on, but still.)
EDIT: I felt like I should back this comment up with data, purely because I'm a huge nerd. I included it below under a spoiler, because it's long. If you don't care even slightly, feel free to ignore, lol.
Also scratch my comment about there never being three at once. I realized while I was writing the below comment that they HAVE aired three at once recently.
Maybe wait until we get actual confirmation about an episode count before worrying? Unless it came from someone…
People misunderstand things and run with it, spreading misinformation like wildfire, lol. Literally people saw a screenplay cover that said "EP 1-8" and assumed it meant the show was only eight episodes, but it's since been confirmed for 12.
Change of cast by Gmmtv Mark Pakin to Aungpao Ochiris. 🔗: https://twitter.com/GMMTV/status/1668891019524308992?t=P1qSBztXzoTUCDdM8Xt7Wg&s=19Aungpao…
I'm so disappointed, but I guess I'd rather lose him here than Only Friends. I hope this kid has the chops to hold up this role, especially alongside Gun. But I wish him well and have my fingers crossed.
Last Twilight is starting right now, if the pictures are accurate. I was thinking the same thing, though, like…
Mark just got recast. x_x Those schedules caught up with him. Not just him, though. GMMTV had some serious scheduling issues this year. Weird enough that all but one of the remaining BLs/GL are starting production this month, but clearly they couldn't make it work with a lot of their shows as they've recast a total of six just this week alone.
Well, I watched it (so I guess it’s already released) but it was moving all the time for make sure you don’t…
This person is trying to explain to you that what you saw was the movie. You didn't see the show or the first episode. You saw the movie. There was a short film, 48 minutes, that came out in 2021. This is a series adaptation of that short, and it hasn't come out yet.
Milk has once again proven she's the best actress working under gmmtv today. Unfortunately that also highlights…
The worst part is, GMMTV will likely see the failure of this show and be like, "Huh, I guess people just don't like sci-fi," instead of realizing not every single plot has to have romance shoved into it. Sometimes that's to the detriment of the show. Why can't they learn from The Gifted? Sometimes friendship is enough.
Not a fan of this one. Too dramatic. Too unnecessary. Regret not dropping this. I finished it just to get rid…
Could you tell me if the gay supporting character has anything significant to do with the plot? I keep a list of m/m media that's come out, and if he has any romance at all and is more than a passing character, I'll add this just to be thorough. I just don't want to add it if he's just there now and then and has no romantic interaction at all. Judging from your comment and others, I'd rather not watch the show myself.
So this one is connected to the other one, meaning this guy is the one who either gets his friend murdered or is murdered? I'm confused. Is it a typo that Mok is the one who dies in the other one?
