You're right, it doesn't, which is why I'm not referring to general affection. XD If Dome were a girl, there'd be no doubt. But either way, I was being lighthearted.

This show is such cheesy fun. It's ridiculous sometimes (the freaking frog moment, oh my god) but I'm enjoying it while laughing. I'm super excited for all of the objects' backstories. This is similar in concept to a pilot I wrote in college, but this is more fun because I don't have to do any work. XD

Friend Zone, The Warp Effect, and, obviously, Bad Buddy are the only three GL couples I know of from GMMTV, but I could be forgetting something. This was announced as their first GL though, because it's the first time the GL couple is the main focus.

To answer your question, the GL storylines and BL storylines get as much time as the M/F storylines in The Warp Effect.

It's listed as their first GL because this is the first one that has the GL couple as the mains. :) It was announced as "GMMTV's first GL." But yes, they've had at least three other shows with GL couples. It's nice for one to get the spotlight this time.

That's because it was supposed to come out in 2022. It's the only BL project from that line up that still hasn't come out. But hopefully they'll find a space for it soon. It seems filming is getting close to completion.

All of the people popping up was amusing. Literally every actor they have on roster is apparently in this. XD

So I guess we're about to watch a bunch of our beloved actors die brutal deaths. XD

I think there's a chance Neo and Mark won't end up together, just because of the toxic nature of their relationship, and the fact that Neo is basically the bad guy, lol. I'd like for them to all end up happy and friends again, and all of the pairs to work out, but I'm bracing myself for that not being the case. Someone said there were parallels to Friend Zone, where not all of the couples end up together. But it's really hard to say! Hopefully whatever happens, we're happy and satisfied with it.

If they moved The Eclipse two down, that would be my order for least excited to most excited, haha.

They said that they're end game in an interview, but I suppose that could change since they haven't started filming yet.

Oh it DEFINITELY is, but you don't see people in the comments viciously insulting those people and telling them to shut up and that they're gross when the romance they want is straight. I actually think the 45 comments asking if things are BL are super annoying (like check the other posts first, people), but the way some people respond, it's clear they're not just annoyed by people who can't read but people who like BL in general. Like it drove me nuts how many people were trying to make two platonic friends in The Gifted boyfriend and girlfriend, and they even talked about it like it was canon, even though it wasn't. But I didn't go to the comments and say, "Shut up, you're so gross. Not everything has to be about romance, you freaks." You know?

I think the people who are frustrated that the side couple isn't also f/f have valid points, but those points can be expressed without being mean or putting down other groups. So those who think it should be more GL couples are right, and I don't think we need to fight about it (this goes for instigators on both sides). I have a slight preference for BL, but I completely agree that, with the lack of GL, there should be more than one GL pair.

At the same time, this is actually progress, because if early GL were like early BL, the secondary couple would be a guy and a girl. When BL was still taking off, it was often combined with one or more M/F couples. I mean, look at things like Kiss Me Again where it's like four toxic straight couples (all of that non-con and deception and crap), with one BL side pairing. If they'd had BL with GL side pairings more often in the past, that would have been wonderful, so I'm just grateful it's not more m/f.

GAP isn't the only GL, but yeah, it's kind of like the ratio of M/F to M/M, with there just being way, way more M/F. Right now, there's way more M/M than F/F, but slowly F/F is starting to become more common. Hopefully it grows as fast as the BL industry has. BL became a thing in 2014, and by 2020, it was heads above what it had started as. So fingers crossed that GL will get the same treatment.

At first, I was afraid of Cher getting on my nerves with how dumb and over-exaggerated he is, but those few moments where it was shown that he's dense but not naïve were great. The truth is, they're both sort of extreme characters, but they balance each other out. When they're together, they both become more tolerable, and I can already see the realistic way they'll influence one another. I don't want to get my hopes up because I know shows like this can easily start to go south, but I'm loving the pacing and the way that these characters are all being introduced without info-dumping. I really liked the first episode.

I saw something where, unless the translation was wrong, they were saying they were actually the ones who went for the kiss, because it wasn't in the script and not having one didn't feel right. Both the kiss at the end, and the forehead kiss were supposedly their idea, so I imagine they had to have at least some degree of comfort. But yeah, I'd have a hard time telling them to stop too with kisses that hot. XD Like I said, I wish we'd gotten their first kiss too--it felt like the show was gearing up to it. It would have been a perfect moment, but oh well. I do appreciate we did get in the end.

I'm an older viewer too, and you're not missing anything by dropping MSP. It was a cute enough show, but definitely tailored to very young viewers, complete with the loud noises and quick changes meant to keep a short attention span.

That being said, I absolutely loved Li Ming and Heart. It just goes to show that the right directing and writing can take a story like that and make it feel mature and moving, rather than geared toward children. Aof has really been impressing me lately, and this show made me appreciate Fourth and Gemini much more.

I'm really digging the slow trickle of more mature BL coming out lately. I hope they keep it up. It's been great to deviate from all of the school romance with a focus on something realistic and complex.

You're gonna be really mad when you find out they cut out their first kiss. XD It's actually a shame because it was super hot, but I understood what they were going for by not having them kiss during the sex scene. Earth and Mix kissed on their own, and Aof had to make them do it again without kisses.

But yeah, I was hoping we'd see their very first kiss, the moment when they're officially coming together. It's a shame, but I'm still happy with how it went in the end. It isn't enough to make me rate the show lower, but I do agree.
