Huh, the removed actors makes me wonder if there was something miscommunicated when they said this was back on. People kept referencing it, but I haven't heard anything since.

(And yes, I'm kidding, please do not lose your crap if you love straight shows. XD I just hate the BL vs GL infighting.)

Why do people always try to create division between BL and GL? Why can't we unite together against the true evil: straight shows.

I don't think that's how it works there, but I'm more familiar with the entertainment industry policies in the west, so who knows. I know there was some controversy with the book, but the company says it was scheduling conflicts. Controversial books get made into shows all the time, and promotion takes time and money. It may have been multiple factors, but that alone isn't likely. But yeah, I guess in this case they had to cut their losses for various reasons.

Right? People who are used to being the majority become outraged if someone else gets a turn. We only get a TINY FRACTION of the amount of content they get catered to them, but omg everything is BL. XD

Oh also, to be clear, it wasn't the last minute. He was replaced quite a while ago, so I don't know why they haven't released a new poster yet. I guess we'll get all that when we get the release date.

Yeah, I didn't have strong feelings about either of them. I've never been super into Mike's BL roles, but they were fine. He plays a good friend or side kick. I didn't like Krist so much in SOTUS, but I didn't hate him either. I don't think he's a raging homophobe or anything like some of his past drama claims, but I didn't love SOTUS, and Krist was just okay for me. I love Singto though, so it's just a matter of perspective, I guess. I hope he and Gawin end up being a great pair and this show is awesome.

The company said they mutually decided he wasn't right for the role. He may have not been able to grasp it as well as he'd liked. I hope it's true that it was mutual and they didn't just boot him.

Exactly, I just don't want it to be more m/f romance. Shows like this always have a story and then some random girl that the guy is in love with or chases after, but no one ever says "why does it always have to have romance?" They seem to think there isn't any romance if it's just m/f, lol. It's only forced romance if it's m/m in their opinions. So the fact that the director implied that there's m/m makes me happy in a general way, but also a petty way. Maybe there won't be any m/m stuff at all, and it was a weird misunderstanding. I'm fine if that's the case. But if there IS m/m, I can't help but laugh at all the salty mfers on here who are so worked up over a few shows having m/m in them (compared to the millions of shows with m/f that they aren't complaining about).

I'm guessing the cursed objects will each have their own stories, starring other GMMTV actors like Bright and what appeared to be Nanon.

The director made comments that suggest there will be m/m elements, but this isn't a romance, so I don't imagine there'll be much of it. Which is probably good, since it's more about the plot. I would personally love something with m/m that isn't the focus. Usually we just get shows that have m/f that isn't the focus, and I'm bored of that.

I totally agree with you about the hypocrites, though. It's sad to see, but not surprising.

Because he dropped out of his other projects due to exhaustion/mental health issues, I'm bracing myself for him being one of the first to die, lol. But I hope he gets something good out of the role, and I hope he starts to do better as far as his health.

Yeah, sadly I don't believe they've even started filming, making April pretty much impossible. But I hope it's in the first half of the year, at least. I wish GMMTV would at least give us a loose schedule for all of these shows, like when they're aiming to start airing them if nothing else.

I'll be real, this could be a rare 10 for me, but if Aof pulls one of his stupid time jump happy endings on us, I'm gonna revolt.

As a fellow adult who watches this show with another adult who shares my opinion of it, I think you're right on with your instincts. It's a cute, simple show, but it's not plot-heavy or compelling, because it is written for a very young audience with a short attention span. It's perfectly okay, but their chemistry is SO MUCH BETTER in Moonlight Chicken. It's amazing how you can take two stories of teenage first love, but with the right direction and writing, one just feels like a more mature and interesting tale.

It won't kill you to keep watching, but if you don't like it now, keep your expectations low. The hype for this was insanely overblown. If you do like very, very simple slice of life with mostly feel-good scenes and conflict that's introduced and resolved in the same episode each week, you'll probably end up loving it. But I'm guessing you're more likely to find it frustrating, especially with how the comments are treating it like God's gift to humanity. If you're bored and have nothing to do, give it a watch, but I think they're much, much better in Moonlight Chicken, and I adore them there too.

When did this switch from ten episodes to six? Does anyone have a source on that? I'd just like confirmation on the right amount for the list and calendar I maintain for BL shows that are airing.
