I loved this show so much, even if it wasn't perfect. Some of the more critical comments out there actually include points that I made myself when venting about parts I didn't like. When my best friend and I watched it together, we tended to always zero in on the negative stuff first. But after discussing everything, we'd somehow end up back to the place we'd been before, in total adoration.
I think at the end of the day, the love we feel for Pat and Pran as characters was really what drew us back in. The story isn't original, but Aof took out a lot of the toxicity so much of us are used to seeing and added elements we've been craving for ages. For me, there was so much to love that I could forgive some of the hiccups. The casual intimacy, the refusal to put people into roles, the amazing chemistry, the lack of abuse between the couple, the explicit consent, the GL relationship, the friendships, the humor, the cute moments, the emotional delivery, the ongoing portrayal of two guys so completely in love--it was all enough for me to let go and just enjoy.
I've never had a BL make me happy quite like this show did, and I'm so glad I watched it. Was it flawless? No. But the impact it made on the community is what makes it "god-tier" for so many of us.
I strongly disagree. That preview made me so mad to the point that i couldn't enjoy the first half of the episode.…
Yes, it did. I'm going through a really bad life experience right now, and Bad Buddy has been my rare source of endorphins. Because of how bad the preview made me feel, I almost didn't watch the final episode. I'm still kinda mad about it and it tarnished my love for the show a little, despite how much I liked the ending. Feeling emotions isn't always a good thing. I feel emotions over a lot of stuff, lol.
But yes, to each their own, I just don't think everyone is going to enjoy the emotional roller coaster. If I'd gone in blind, it would have been way more fun for me, trying to figure out what was happening rather than sitting on something I knew was meant to upset us. I think it's more fun for people who aren't going through hell in real life. Like they're comfortable enough in the real world to be able to enjoy the highs and lows. I was just offering a different viewpoint for those trying to decide. However, the fact that they don't have to wait a full week after means it won't hit too hard, even if they're someone like me. (Pardon the essay, haha.)
everybody reviews with their "honest" opinion, not everybody has the same opinion, or points of view, doesn't…
I know you don't, hon. I was responding to you saying other people didn't know enough about films to leave a review because they didn't watch enough movies. But my opinion is vastly different from yours, and I've actually been educated on the matter. Does that mean you can't leave a review? Obviously not. Anyway, I understand that English isn't your first language, so I don't wanna be too hard on you, but you should take a look at yourself before you're unkind to others. I've seen many fantastic reviews, some of which differed from my own. They were well-written and didn't feel the need to trash someone else's opinion. Yours is neither of those things.
I understand some people dont like to watch the promo at the end of each episode because they don't wanna be spoiled.…
I strongly disagree. That preview made me so mad to the point that i couldn't enjoy the first half of the episode. I only forgave him because there ended up being a lot of great content, but i would have liked it more if i hadn't seen the stupid preview.
I'm glad it enhanced your experience, though! I just wish I hadn't seen it. x.x
They are ok with him being gay but not with pran u clearly didn’t see the whole show u r just a mere hater lol
Yeah, just ignore this person. They troll the pages with rage, infuriated when anyone disagrees with them. I finally just blocked them because I'm tired of seeing their pretentious, self-righteous babble.

I have a degree in film, and what you're saying is short-sighted and pretentious. Your own review is poorly written and lacks substantial evidence to reinforce your stance. Don't come on here and insult other people for having a different opinion than you. Watching a bunch of movies doesn't make you an expert, and film analysis will always be subjective. Anyone who understands media knows this.
What was the real conflict with Maze and Nueng? I feel like I'm not fully understanding the issue. Are you telling…
I get the Phap stuff. What I'm saying is, the misunderstanding angle doest make sense. It does seem like it's just a lazy plot device, and that's very disappointing, so I was hoping I was misunderstanding something. If it really is that simple, that's unfortunate and suggests poor writing.
Exactly, haha. By that point, they all knew what was going on but looked the other way. I really appreciate that…
Right? I swear to god, people love to throw in breakups and time skips in their shows, and they always act like phones and email stop existing, like they can't even talk to each other? I love that they kept their relationship strong long distance, and soon enough Pran will be done and they'll be with each other again, as happy as they were before.
I agree, lots of material for a special episode, though I don't see as much for a season two. I would love to…
Ugh, right??? Like, can people try to be creative about a second season and not always settle for BS relationship drama? And I've seen that comment before about marriage, but this would be in the future anyway. Plus, they can get married in other countries. It took a lot of pushing and fighting in the states, but it's legal here now, so I'm trying to have faith that it won't be too much longer before the new tide comes in for Thailand.
BEST ENDING EVER FOR A BL DRAMA!!! Not gonna expect for a second season but a special episode would be nice :)…
I agree, lots of material for a special episode, though I don't see as much for a season two. I would love to see a special where they get married or something.
Finally, after too much of bromantic asexual or demi-romantic representation from the likes of “2gether” and…
Right??? So much actual relationship content! It was so good! I hope other shows in the future take notes, because this is how you write a healthy BL couple and really display their love for one another right up to the last moment.
As BBS end today, I just want to sayyy THANK YOU SO MUCH to all of you . Every time I needed a place vent or pour…
MDL was the best, most reasonable place to talk about this show, and I'm so happy I got to connect with people here in the comments. I hope we see each other on other pages. This show was magical, and though I was SO angry with Aof over the preview fiasco, I can now officially say this has been one of the best shows I've ever had the pleasure of watching. It was great raving and crying with ya'll!
I honestly could not accept that he'd go for a cop out, but then there were so many people convinced that it was accurate, taking it at face value, and it made me so paranoid. I didn't think it was real, but damn it, there were so few people who agreed with me that I started to doubt myself and spent the whole week in turmoil. >_< Never again!
I'll miss this comment section sooo much like obviously I will still hover to respectfully disagree with all the…
I know! It's bittersweet to say goodbye, but it was such a great run. I honestly did not think Aof could end the show in a way that made me forgive him for the preview BS and trying to upset us, but damn it if I didn't let go of that anger the moment Pat grabbed Pran and tugged him into the apartment, lol. The end was full of soooooo much good stuff. So I guess we're cool, P'Aof, which is good, because I was never going to watch his work again.
I think the parents might have been fooled for some time but by the looks of their reaction to Pat sneaking into…
Exactly, haha. By that point, they all knew what was going on but looked the other way. I really appreciate that the end showed that they were coming around. They won't have to keep pretending in front of their families for much longer.
