I would like if the preview is Pran's mom experiencing what would have happened if she got what she wanted. No Pat, no music, no anything that she doesn't deem to be key to his perfect future. And he follows her wishes and succeeds in a surface way, but the person he was is completely gone. He's not happy and can no longer be happy, because he sacrificed everything he truly wants to please his mother.
This is reflective of what he says to her in episode 10, that the way she raised him is why he isn't like other kids. Pran is very touchy and uptight, afraid to relax and just enjoy himself. He avoids things that he loves because he's afraid of what his mother will do. She needs to see her short-sightedness, or the conflict will never end.
A time jump where the two of them give one another up in order to make their families happy doesn't make sense with their character development or the overall arc of the show. It would leave the problem with their families unresolved, and it doesn't follow the path of growth established from the start. It does, however, tie into the themes of doomed love based on family stubbornness that we see throughout. Because this show is a lighter version of the novel, there won't be a tragic ending, but those parallels are still important. Those are the "what if" timelines that could and SHOULD terrify their parents. In Romeo and Juliet as well as The Scar, the parents pay the ultimate price for their refusal to budge and end up losing their children forever. I think it'd be interesting to see the parents really contemplate that possibility.
A break up at this point would undo what the show has spent 11 episodes establishing. I know there are people who get off on misery under the guise of "realism" (don't get me started on that one), but it doesn't make sense for a story about two young men learning to break away from familial expectations and embrace their own lives to end with them regressing back to square one. That kind of ending is reflective of poor writing and direction, which isn't something Aof has shown us so far. I'm annoyed with him for pulling this crap, but it would be very strange for him to take so much time and care to create a show that doesn't fall into typical yaoi pitfalls, only to take a massive cliche dump at the end. I know the man loves a time jump happy ending, but I don't buy either boy being able to just let one another go for a family that doesn't support them living their lives outside of being pawns for their parents.
So I hope what we saw in the preview is used to show someone who needs to see it just how bad things could have gone if Pat and Pran were forced to give up the one thing they'd ever had that was worth challenging their parents to obtain. I know that footage might be another attempt to hide the relationship, or it could be some other type of fake out, but I would much rather this bad timeline was actually utilized to teach a few lessons. While everyone else in the cast has grown throughout the show, the parents are still firmly planted where they began. Aof isn't a hack. He's been laying the ground work for a stronger resolution than something as lukewarm as the preview would imply at face value. I just wish we didn't have to wait a damn week.
why dosen't say prem in this when boun and prem both said he going to be in it
MDL is just a list of what people have posted. A lot of pages are missing information until more official details are announced. I'm not sure why no one has changed to add him based on the interview where he's confirmed to be in it, but it could be a matter of them waiting on a studio announcement. I hope they update it soon though.
Sorry you said two in one year?please what's the name of the other one???🥺🥺🥺
My Broccoli ^^ It's a pet project that Boun is doing with Prem. There's not a lot out about it so far, but it has a MDL page. EDIT: I was on my phone before, but here's a link ^^ https://kisskh.at/714271-my-broccoli
Omg! Someone mentioned "Light series" in passing, and they didn't answer when I asked about it. I was hoping it was an extension of the short, but I couldn't find anything on MDL. I'm so glad to see it finally confirmed. I really like the short, but it was way too rushed. It could have been so much more, and I hope it properly utilizes its time.
Oh my god, I'm so excited for this. I thought people were mistaken about the vampire part after they released the promo photos. It looked like your average slice-of-life, and I thought the one actor's past vampire role combined with the original title of the series was confusing people. So glad that isn't the case! It's a crime that we don't really have much vampire BL, and the ones we do have are all really weird and generally not very vampire-like. But now we get two in one year? Please let them both work out!
Dude, share sources before you say something so damaging about a person. There are a lot of sexual predators out there, unfortunately, so I'm not saying it can't be true, but at least back it up with valid links.
I tried to watch this in theaters yesterday, but the place I was looking at only had Chinese subtitles. That seemed so weird to me. It was a mainstream theater, but they didn't have any English subtitle options. I didn't realize it was the fifth installment, but it's action, you know? I was having a bad day and thought I could tolerate some mindless violence and explosions. But I'd at least like to kind of know what's going on. The only places that are showing it with English subtitles are like $16 tickets.
Boat was so good as Champ in TT..i really want this to happen
It looks like it'll continue, but unfortunately it'll be entirely recast under a different production company. I was looking forward to seeing Boat in this, too. :(
Filming started?? Some said not yet..but what about those scenes in the trailer? Did they film it for just trailer…
Thai BL typically films a "pilot trailer" to entice investors and such. So all of the shots you see in the trailer are shot exclusively for the trailer. When everything is good to go, they film the actual show and make a new trailer with the footage. It's kinda frustrating, since things can change a lot, but generally speaking they typically get even better (or different in a good way) than the original.
Seeing him for the first time, "he kinda looks like Run/Jeno. It's funny if they're not related". Cause really…
I was so confused watching Second Chance because I thought they were the same person! I was like, why is he acting so differently? And it seemed like he was gonna be paired with that guy, but now he's flirting with that guy? Then it turned out they were brothers, so I guess I can forgive myself for the mix up, haha.
Does anyone know anything more about this one? I'm intrigued, but it's dead silent. I feel like some weird creeper who pops up on all of the empty BL pages and talks to herself.
Does anyone know what this is about? I'm not sure if I'd have much luck searching for the novel, given the vague English title and the fact that I can't read Thai.
How am I only finding out this dude is a literal murderer 😠WHY on god’s earth is he not in shackles right…
He's in custody, and he's not getting roles. This is a list of things he was cast in, but obviously he can't be in any of these in prison. These pages aren't always up to date, so you can assume his upcoming project is either canceled or will be recast.
