I feel bad for people who are never gonna watch it because of the stupid preview. I hope they find out some day, because even though I was really mad at Aof, the finale was just SO GOOD. So full of love and affection and great moments. Plus it makes for amazing MV material all around. That final scene, oh my god. XD The kitchen counter part. I love them so much. Can't wait to see them in BL stuff in the future. (And yes, they did express wanting that, so enough with the naysayers!)
What was the real conflict with Maze and Nueng? I feel like I'm not fully understanding the issue. Are you telling…
That's a fair argument in favor of Phap. I understand that it isn't romantic jealousy exactly, but it seemed odd that he encouraged him to go make up with his brother, then burst into tears the moment he did. But I do understand that he's hurt to see Maze be gentle and vulnerable with someone else, when he's so harsh with Phap. He should understand, though, that someone like Maze puts up a lot of fronts, and Nueng has known him much longer. It's not like he just met both of them and is only being kind to one of them. But I do understand Phap's feelings being hurt to a degree.
Yall why do I feel like it’s Tod who beat black. He’s sus asf
I'm kind of hoping Tod is a red herring, because at this point he's so, so obvious as someone potentially involved. He represents the ridiculously wealthy, which is the main demographic being criticized in the story, and he has a vague explanation for why he has this really nice place. Think about it. If he's working with Tawi, that could be where the money is coming from. Either way Tod is suspicious, and he was weird from the start. Then he was fishing for information, albeit fairly casually. But he might just be an example of the problem.
Am I missing something? Question in a spoiler regarding Maze and Nueng. Also, anyone new to the show, be careful.…
What was the real conflict with Maze and Nueng? I feel like I'm not fully understanding the issue. Are you telling me that Maze being sad and needy was enough for them to not talk for years? Nueng pretends he's a stranger and acts totally indifferent to him during that time, but what the hell happened to make him do that? I thought Maze must have sabotaged him or something to prevent him from leaving, but he just got upset and cried. I also thought maybe Nueng was realizing Maze had romantic feelings for him, and he got uncomfortable because they're brothers, even if it's not biological. But that doesn't seem to be part of it either.
It did sort of sound like maybe Maze was the one who stopped talking to Nueng, but why didn't Nueng try to talk to Maze? It just made it sound like there was this huge conflict between them, but in the end it seemed to boil down to, "I didn't want you to leave, so I cried and begged you not to. Then we never talked again." Plus whatever it was lasted years, didn't it? And it was wrapped up that easily? Nueng didn't seem all that emotionally invested. It was like, *shrug* "I was never mad at you." Uh, okay, so you consider him your dear family, but you let all this time pass like it was no big deal? And it's resolved so easily, like that was all it took, and now things are just dandy.
I think it's just hard for me to understand how something as simple as someone getting clingy and emotional is enough to cause this huge rift between two people, then a simple, "I'm not mad," fixes the entire thing. So is there something more I didn't catch? Can anyone enlighten me?
Also, Phap, seriously? This guy is his brother, and you encouraged him to make up with him. Why are you crying after he did what you said? Especially when they were like, "We're going back to being family like before." There's still room for a new boyfriend in that scenario.

Aww, I like it so far! Fingers crossed for future episodes. I really like Dream, too, which is great. I'm always hoping for more cool female characters in BL.
I swear, every time there's a BL plot that isn't a slice-of-life about school or an office job, there's like an 80% chance it'll never happen. So many interesting concepts just die on the table, but the 45 bland college romances just keep coming.
Yaaaaay, excited for tomorrow! I hope the series is great. It definitely seems different and interesting. Other ghost BL type stuff isn't usually horror too.
Ohm never said he doesn't wanna play in bls anymore. So I dont see any fault in him with play a support role here
People are constantly running around saying every actor doesn't want to be in BL anymore. Both Ohm and Nanon have explicitly expressed interest in doing another BL together. I don't know why people in the BL fandom are obsessed with the idea of actors not doing BL.
Main couple announcement in February 3rdhttps://twitter.com/YokeeApirak/status/1482011844022013960?s=20( sorry…
I still don't understand why they haven't just announced it, given the obvious hint. But whatever, maybe they wanted to do a photoshoot that they couldn't schedule first. I just hope they haven't changed the leads, because I've really been looking forward to this. It seems really interesting, though.
oh where did you see it? i can't find anything hinting to a series at least on their twitter
I get that. They generally have to be backed up with proof, but I know we've all seen rumors turn to legit pages. I generally trust the place where I saw the announcement, but I'd feel better seeing it actually confirmed by the creators. Fingers crossed that it happens.

I saw it referenced in a list of upcoming shows from BLUpdates on Instagram. But this is the series page, so that suggests it is indeed coming. Or so I hope! If you're asking where they got that information, I have no freaking idea. But they've never steered me wrong before, so they must have their sources.
I sorta expect a thunder of a collective facepalm by yt viewers at approx. 11:50 pm BKK time this Friday. Our…
As long as the ending is truly satisfying and makes sense with the narrative, I'll be happy. I just hope he continues to pleasantly surprise me in the sense that, though I see all of the lame ways the show could go if it were in the hands of a lesser writer/director, he never takes that route. So as long as he doesn't go for his usual break up/time jump happy endings (because that is a thing he loves) and we get a conclusion that feels real and not forced, I suppose I'll forgive him for intentionally screwing with our emotions like this. I'm a writer too, and I've never understood that thing some writers get off on, where they just want to upset their viewers as a power trip, or to keep them guessing.
Bad Buddy is not an especially fresh or original show at its core. What makes it so exhilarating and enjoyable is that while Aof is still using all of the basic BL ingredients, he's tossing out the elements that don't make the recipe taste as good as it could. In the end, it's still a cake, but he's only using the finest content. I would hate for him to give up at the last minute and just throw in the rest of the junk.
This is something everyone wants... No one is happy with what the preview shows or how it shows it, not a single…
There have amazingly been quite a few people who liked it! I was getting stressed out because the place I was browsing had a bunch of "it's so perfect and sad and beautiful!" type replies, or "it's realistic this way" replies, saying this is how they wanted it to end. I was surprised so many people liked it. Then I remembered MDL tends to have better discussions than some of the other BL hubs, so I came here and felt a little better. Took a few days for me to gather my thoughts though.
I get it, though. It can be hard to think about when you don't want to be harmed more than you already were. I'm in a bad situation right now in my real life, and Bad Buddy was my weekly endorphins boost, so my best friend had to spend the whole day calming me down, because it messed with me that badly. I just look forward to us getting our true conclusion soon, and I hope Aof doesn't let us down. It would be so bizarre for him to throw away all of his hard work for something so flat and cheap, but I'm trying to prepare my heart just in case it turns out he's more about shock value than following the logic he himself has already established.
We've got each other in the meantime. Hang in there, sister!
