in today's episode hua yong slept with his alpha 🤔 Is that????
I thought so too! Hard to tell, there's a lot of talk and innuendo in this series but not on-screen NC action, so I feel like it could go either way...
So why did Wei decide to say those harsh words to Chi?! why push him away? Even if he's totally convinced that…
He thought that fight with Wang Shuo's brother was because the brother hurt Wang Shuo. Suo Wei didn't see Chi Cheng look at the brother's phone where he'd innocently texted him. It was thinking Suo Wei likes the brother (sorry can't remember his name) that sent Chi Cheng into a violent jealous rage. But Wang Shuo helped push Suo Wei into believing it was over love for Wang Shuo, not love for Suo Wei.
And then Suo Wei saw the final video proving Wang Shuo never really cheated. And decided to get out of the way of what he thought was the right thing for both of them.
I feel like everyone is hating on Wang Shuo and I get it somehow.. but I actually feel sorry for him😭😭 like…
The show is doing a great job of showing depth and facets to all these characters--despite it being so over the top, the characterization is surprisingly nuanced. I don't like Wang Shuo but I don't hate him, and I think he was dealt some bad hands (that he played wrong maybe but they were bad to begin with).
OMG I loved this series. It had a slice-of-life quality; you get to really just live in the village and get to know everyone, so when Yo falls for Jom, it's like when two friends get together and you're like "ohh, I didn't see that coming but I can see why you're perfect for each other!" (I mean obvs I saw this coming, but I like how they let them get to know each other on other levels before their feelings deepened.) Their chemistry was understated (I mean until the last few minutes phew!) but every time Yo looked at Jom once he'd realized he was in love, I got butterflies from the adoration in his eyes.
All the side characters and subplots were great. I could probably quibble with pacing or how easily the awful dad and ex were forgiven, but why bother when I feel so blissed out with happiness after the steamy final NC scene and the cutely rustic final scene (straddling a buffalo I kid you not lol). This was so great and completely its own thing--it didn't feel like it was trying to fit into any particular genre box.
This series is better than it has any right to be. There's a lot of sex but it's very character-consistent. Someone on Tumblr mentioned that Sorn is like an old school yaoi seme but in the modern world he's gonna face consequences / have remorse for his controlling behavior, and his uke has a ton of support from their mutual friends and coworkers. Honestly it's pretty compelling and well done, the two leads' acting and chemistry are great, and the NC scenes are gorgeous (and highly rewatchable...)
I’ll Turn Back this Time posted a special ep with a happy ending and kiss—it makes no fing sense but neither…
Totally agreed. I’ll Turn Back This Time bummed me out so bad. Really hoping this J&J thing is smoke and mirrors but either way I’m upset because they stole my pleasant anticipation of the special ep and replaced it with trepidation.
I literally ran over here after watching all those reels ... Like wtf???? Don't tell me it's true ... Like wtf…
I’ll Turn Back this Time posted a special ep with a happy ending and kiss—it makes no fing sense but neither did the rest of the plot so I’m going with this and believing they got their HEA… https://youtu.be/j_k50J-e7UY?si=woF8j1FCHqGpel1v
Ok! So far I am loving this series and can't wait for the next episodes, hope Sunday comes quickly! I was literally…
It’s making me respect Mike as an actor for sure, because my stomach turns whenever this character comes on screen, and usually I find him so cute and charming. I hope to see him in a non villain role after this though!
So far, the show and cast have gotten better every week. If they can maintain the charm and quality of ep3 for the rest of the series I’ll be very happy!
Gosh, I'm surprised at the negative comments. This was in my top 10 shows of 2024, maybe even top 5! I loved absolutely everything about it but especially the chemistry between Great/Inn & Thor/Fluke.
i think it's because they're popular actors lol we'll probably see the same thing when muenfah and lee's parents…
Oh, thank you! I didn't recognize them but I thought that HAD to be the reason for that strangely dramatic intro. I just hope the characters are supportive of their son and not homophobic, then they will have earned that big entrance!
