This is insane. It has to be because of the distribution issues and not as many international people getting to watch it? I can't think of any other reason because this show was literally flawless from beginning to end, something I can't say about any of my other beloved, favorite BLs. I thought my heart was going to stop from sheer joy during that last episode, OMG.

Saame! I had to go back and watch after reading this. First's usually so much more active when jerking off, this was too subtle and I totally missed it.

I'll be unpacking my reaction to this show for a loooong time, but I wanted to say SOMEthing to mark its completion, so here goes. High point: First & Soong's first hookup. One of the few fully successful sexy scenes in the show. Low point: watching a blow job from the POV of the bottom of a box of popcorn. The most traumatically unsexy scene in TV history. Fave character at the end of the day: Puen, the only sweetie pie who didn't end up being kind of a baddie.

The last couple episodes stumbled a bit on pacing and plot execution but nothing disastrous--they didn't destroy everything they built in the first 10 spectacular eps. Overall one of the most creative, unexpected and sexy BLs I've ever seen!

I will overlook a lot of flaws in pacing, plot and many other things and still rate a BL in my top tier. I've never had this experience where there's not a single flaw or thing to be forgiven. This show is pure joy every second, somehow fluffy but really deep, suspenseful yet gentle and forgiving, takes its time but the episodes fly by. I don't even know what to do with myself when watching. Cherry Magic Thailand took an already spectacular show and made it infinitely better. If ep 12 doesn't stumble this may end up being my all time favorite BL.

Me too! I'm mostly a lurker but a very appreciative one. I wanted to love this show but was struggling after a while, and the main blogger I follow is basically hate-watching at this point, so the comments here help me connect to and love it in all its unhinged glory.

I've never done that but I just went through and rated every ep a 10, so fingers crossed. I figured it wouldn't be a bad show but wondered if it could measure up or be very interesting since it's a remake, and of such a fantastic original show. Well, it has soared past my expectations and even past the original for me. If they can stick the landing, this may be one of the best BLs I've ever seen.

I have a question! When Achi and Karan are holding their krathong together, it appears all the dialogue (at least in subtitles) is in parentheses, and I'm not sure I see either of their mouths move. I started thinking Karan was reading and responding to Achi's thoughts all of a sudden. It was really strange, especially since neither seemed surprised, so I think I must be imagining things. Can anyone clear it up for me? Or did you see the same thing?

Yay, thank you for taking the time to gush with me! It's adorable and funny and naughty yet has some deep thoughts and emotions sprinkled in, and it's shot soooo pretty and the actors are soooo talented (and hot).
