Ok! So far I am loving this series and can't wait for the next episodes, hope Sunday comes quickly! I was literally…
It’s making me respect Mike as an actor for sure, because my stomach turns whenever this character comes on screen, and usually I find him so cute and charming. I hope to see him in a non villain role after this though!
So far, the show and cast have gotten better every week. If they can maintain the charm and quality of ep3 for the rest of the series I’ll be very happy!
Gosh, I'm surprised at the negative comments. This was in my top 10 shows of 2024, maybe even top 5! I loved absolutely everything about it but especially the chemistry between Great/Inn & Thor/Fluke.
i think it's because they're popular actors lol we'll probably see the same thing when muenfah and lee's parents…
Oh, thank you! I didn't recognize them but I thought that HAD to be the reason for that strangely dramatic intro. I just hope the characters are supportive of their son and not homophobic, then they will have earned that big entrance!
So it seems like we're all in agreement that this show is an audition tape for Por (Lee) to snag his own lead role in a BL, right? Literally can't take my eyes off him whenever he's on screen, which is making it hard to understand much of the plot...
Tbh what has me confused is the synopsis now. If all of the stories have just been BL series that Pun and Inn…
I’m thinking that was misdirection so they didn’t spoil the story within a story twist, but who knows—maybe they have yet another twist up their sleeves? This show is so weird and creative!
Just like other dramas, slow burn is my thing. I enjoy watching relationships bloom slowly and gradually not like…
I feel like there's slow burn and then there's just dragging things out. This show does slow burn like I can feel actual heat coming off the screen nearly every time they're anywhere near one another. Not just physical chemistry but emotional yearning and deep caring for one another all wrapped into one big smoldering slow burn. The tagline of this show is so accurate; it has stolen my whole heart.
You're right, it's not as many as it seems! There must be like a Mandela effect going on because as I read your question I thought "oh all the grandmas die, it's horrible" but I looked through my list and it wasn't nearly as bad as I felt.
I think I get scared when there's a lovable parental/grandparent figure and feel like more of them die than actually do. I can only add Century of Love; I was scared for the grandmas in The Sign and The Rebound but they survived. I was really scared for the grandpa in Monster Next Door--they really had me going on that one.
I lump GLs/BLs and parental/grandparent figures together, I think, so the moms dying in Moonlight Chicken, My Marvellous Dream & Never Let Me Go add to this feeling of dread around lovable older characters. But now I can watch shows with a bit more hope because really their survival rate is pretty good! lol
I still wonder why the name is not Inn but Pop, so we can have Heroin ^^
I keep trying to make a Poppy=opium=heroin connection but IDK lol, it would've been easier to just name him In since that's a commonly used name anyway!
Did ep3 look really weird to anyone else? Like the way it was filmed. Super jerky and almost like the people were superimposed on a fake background. I thought the episode itself was pretty good but kept being distracted by the visual style.
It’s odd for us fans, I think, to have such a slow beginning for V4 when 2 and 3 dove right in. I hope that…
They are on YT in Asia I think, and also the premise is still that it's a vlog so that might be why they're spending so much time talking about YouTube and production and planning and stuff--letting people who may not be up on the first three volumes know what the premise of this show is.
I'm excited. This felt like mainly a setup/intro episode, maybe because people on IQIYI may not have seen the Youtube show and they wanted to make it clear the vlog format (ie establishing the fictional premise that the guys are unscripted and creating the content).
I can't tell if all the drama of vol3 is water under the bridge now that Dongseop & Yunje appear to have stopped trying to get in between 2J, or if it's going to bubble up on this next trip. TBH, I wouldn't mind if all that got worked out off screen between volumes and this one is more casual and flirty like vol 1.
I saw Yunje & Jungkyu both hovering around Dongseop, touching him and flirting with him every chance they got--would love the three of them to just stay casual and flirty and have fun with each other vs. having another angsty volume!
I adored this show from beginning to end. I was so imprinted on all the characters and the weird world they inhabited that I was willing to roll with every plot point, even the ones that turned other people off. Just one of my favorite BLs ever. Every single actor was incredible in their role but Great stood out even among such a stellar cast. Every movement, every micro-expression, served his character and made Yoryak one of the most beloved characters I've ever come across in a BL.
