You can clearly see they both are struggling with what they have to do for this undercover mission. His wife told…
I don't think we can call it cheating. In both of their cases, it's a survival. It is like in an acting career, even if an actor or actress is married they still have to kiss their onscreen partners. If they are not playing along their lives are in danger and the whole investigation would be ruined. They already sacrificed a lot for that whole case to drop it now.
"I think it would be necessary to totally misunderstand the meaning of everything that happened to have that view" I mean it's just your opinion, doesn't mean that you are right. Just because we have different views doesn't mean we misunderstood anything. We interpreted what was given to us. It can also mean that series failed in conveying its message. From what I've read about the book that ending there made more sense but in the series where we view everything from Tofu's perspective and witness his journey to becoming human with all the emotion and then turning him back into a toy seems cruel. Imagine spending the rest of your existence as an inanimate object.
"It's a story about coping with loss and trauma, which was thematically presented from the beginning and unmistakable by" our opinion about the ending does not deny any of it. We know that. Plus at the end they gave him even more trauma to deal with. They could make a whole second season of that. Imagine the feeling you would have when you think your uncle killed your boyfriend?
"If you thought that there would be a happy romantic ending between Nut and Tofu, then yes, you were expecting fluffiness, because that would be cuteness for its own sake rather than an organic conclusion based on the central theme of the story." I'll repeat again as much as I would love them to be together it's not the reason many of us is angry. It's the fact that they degraded tofu back to the toy form after he became human and learned the emotions. It's not bittersweet it's cruel.
"Otherwise, the the theme of the story would have been that you should not cope with loss, but rather hide from it in delusion." I belive you refer to Tofu as an delusion. I would strongly disagree. As I said he became fully human. He wasn't just a toy anymore. There was not enough Tarn to actually see his amazingness etc. It could feel different if we didn't witness the whole story from Tofu's perspective. It would be more acceptable.
Also to your remarks about people who want fluffy ending and were expecting it. There is nothing wrong with that, it doesn't mean they misunderstood.
This is how I see it. Tried to explain my point of view as well as I could. All opinions are valid. It's ok to disagree but it's not ok to tell people that they misundrstood. It makes your comment to feel like if you think you are smarter than others (even if you didn't mean it). We can discuss. If people want to discourage others from watching it they have right to do so. Some people are telling others that it's a happy ending without consideration that some people are more sensitve than others and it can traumatise them for days. I encourage people to watch and decide for themselves what opinion they will have with a warning that they might not like the ending.
Many of us who hate this ending didn’t expect it to be fluffy so that assumption or rather accusation is so wrong. We viewed it differently and this ending was literally “throwing away the entire meaning of everything that happened” to us. It’s not about fluffiness.
You will have to decide yourself as opinions are different. I think it was not just sad but also terrible ending others are trying very hard to convince people that it was a happy ending. It’s up to you how you will see it. Drama itself was very good. If you don’t like the ending you can pretend that episode 16 didn’t exist.
You should definitely do , all the contraversies of this show is about ending , some love it , some accept it…
Hmmm I would say watch it and make up your own mind because fan edits can actually distort the story. You think you know something but then you realise that you actually don’t. Watch it and see what kind of feelings it will bring you
In general drama is very good quality however, it's not in the category of cute and fluffy. It's heavier than the title would suggest. Acting and chemistry are very good and it talks about some serious issues but if you are looking for something light to watch it's not for you. It deserves a 10/10 rating. The only thing I can't accept is the ending. But yeah, if you can't watch heavier topics then it's not something you will like.
I think it would be the best if you decide yourself. For me it wasn’t happy ending at all. I consider it a terrible one and I don’t accept it as the ending. However there are people who liked it. Who knows, maybe you will have the same opinion like them.
Suppose Tofu is not human, then others aren't too. Tarn is a Zombie that, for some reason, came back to life. He might start eating brains at some point. We will never know. Then Nut and his mother (including other characters) are unicorns that bring objects to life with their tears. It looks like there were hardly any humans in this show, just some magical creatures. Proper fantasy, I would say 😊😊😊
I can’t put myself to watch it again yet without thinking about the ending. It’s just not something I’ll ever accept. I’m in process of removing ep 16 from my dictionary. When I’m not hurting anymore then I’ll try to rewatch it.
There is big difference between dramas who show violance as something romantic or cool and shows like this which…
I’m wondering if you even watched TMOTB because it seems you came to the wrong comment section with the entire rant 🤔 Nothing you wrote applies to this series.
No offence to anyone who actually love that show but CP is just pure fanservice with lots of kiss and randome…
I think they were slightly overwhelmed with love and support of their fans. I don't know if they ever held any fan meeting before but I assume it was their first. They were also saying goodbye to the series they were working on for like 2 years. I believe those were mostly tears of happiness.
It seems fans asked the author about this and he said (Im not sure maybe they read it in novel ) because it came…
Because she sees something and you don’t is not a reason to call you blind. We can reverse the card and say she is blind too. I think I didn’t state my point of view clearly enough so I’ll correct myself. They showed us that they loved each other (Nut and Tarn) but they failed to show us how was Tarn’s love greater than Tofu’s and how his life was more important than Tofu’s. What we saw of Tarn is not comparable to Tofu. Of course I know people see it differently and there are people who like that ending. However I don’t like how they feel smarter than us, call as blind or suggest we are stupid. We are not we see things which they fail to see. In the end ours and theirs are just opinions. So not even your friend can dictate you how you feel and call you blind because your opinion has as much worth as hers.
You make some excellent points.I'm not as unhappy about Tofu's return to bear form as I am about the way it came…
Yes you are right. I unnecessarily went into discussion with that person and got upset because of that. I come here to somehow relieve that sadness I feel after this ending and express why I feel the certain way. Thank you for your comment :)
I find your post very contradictory. You say: "It also doesn’t mean that we judge characters only by cute moments.…
If you can't express your opinion without telling someone "oh you missed the point", "oh you don't understand", "you are childish" then it's not worth to continue conversation with you. I'm getting angry because of the insults not the opinion itself. You literally came at me pointing out things I've never said and you are telling me I'm upset because of your opinion. Enough insults for today. Goodby. Let's not talk again
