Thanks a lot for naming me as well, Murielle! Much appreciated! ^___- I honestly don't feel like I can call myself a proper subber though...considering, on the one hand, that I've only subbed one and a half series so far ^_^;;; - and on the other hand, that I'm not bothered at all by my subs being available on streaming sites, LOL.
I understand that basically everybody else in the subbing world see things differently than I do and I respect their opinion of course, but what can I say, I hope that my opinion might be respected too...^_^;
The only "reward" I seek for my subbing efforts is that as many people as possible might get access to the things I've subbed and thus get the chance to appreciate works that otherwise would have been ignored, and I understand that for most viewers, streaming sites are the obvious choice.

I totally agree with you about the constant frustration on the innumerable annoying parts overwhelming the, alas, too few good parts...T____T
I still haven't finished it (I'm at ep.7 ATM) but I know I'm not gonna give this a high grade (as a matter of fact, I'm afraid I'll humbly disagree about the "being happy that they'll end up together" part....as I'm soooooo shipping Eita with Tanabe Momoko, imho those two are really perfect for each other!!! ^______________^)

Trying to answer the question "What the hell has happened?!?", here's my .02:

1) trying to apply logic to what we've seen is meaningless, as many scenes defy logic (Where did the mice and frogs came from? Where did they go? What was their purpose supposed to be? Same for the oil, rinse& repeat. And then again, if they were on a boat, why did it move as if it were an earthquake? Where did the disappeared people go? Why wasn't there any water at the feet of the first girls who disappeared? And so on and so on, there's another gazillion possible questions - not forgetting the most logic-defying one: What kind of super-bladders did those girls have?!? ^__^;...)

2) Now, if logic can't be applied, what's the obvious deduction? But, of course! It was a dream! That would explain all inconsistencies and unanswered details - dreams are just like that, right? They defy logic, by definition.

3) If that was a dream (or rather, a nightmare), than the only real scenes we've seen were the ones accompanying the nice ballad at the end of the finale; which means, the girls are all safe and sound, and they graduated (as shown in the very last image, the one with their bags).

I've watched 1.5 episodes; considering that I find the ML to be totally fine as is and wish he'd never change (c'mon, he's just perfect, ROFL!), should I drop this right now? I mean, am I guessing correctly by thinking he's gonna get tamed and turned into a herbivore by the end, LOL?

(I'm exaggerating a bit but I guess you know what I mean, right? ^_^;...)

LOL, thanks! I do have some basic knowledge of Japanese grammar, though...plus all the vocabulary I've assimilated in 15+ years of J-dramophilia...^_^;
Oh, and thanks to Edward Wong's precious advice, right after the first episode I did (ep. 5) I switched from GT to DeepL (which is much, much better!)...^___-

You should give this drama a try though...it's really a hidden gem, hilarious and tremendously witty, but also with a depth that might positively surprise most! ^___-

p.s. Now, they were the home team, which means they would get to bat for last in the bottom of the 12th, therefore allowing a run in the top of the 12th didn't mean losing the game...better to allow one single run by walking a slugger, than to risk that the opposite team might score multiple runs, and maybe even a grand-slam, if they hadn't walked that slugger! ^__-

It's the so called "extra innings": if a game is still tied at the end of the 9th inning, you keep playing in the "extra innings" in order to determine a winner; normally, in Japan the extra innings can't be more than three, meaning that the 12th inning is the absolute last you can play (if the game is still tied at the bottom of it, then it's a tie!)

Once again huge THANKS to you for subbing this marvelous series, Edward! I still need to catch up with the last episodes, but I'm already pretty sure I'm gonna review this enthusiastically, giving it a very high (and well deserved!) grade! Arigatou gozaimashita!!! ^___-
