Ep. 1: This was really good until the end. How can leave us hanging like that? I hope she managed to survive!…
The way I saw it (trying to enter the scripwriter's mind here, so bear with me ^__-), her character does say at one point that she wants to do something so that the number of victims like her decreases...as terrible as that ending is, it does indeed convey a quite powerful message that might lead the viewers to exercise a little more caution with strangers, thus making the fictitious character's wish come true IRL...what do you think? ^__-
Hello, thanks a lot for your time, hard work :0). Very grateful to you. I've just finished the last ep. I'll miss…
Hi Murielle, actually, if Baka had repeated the year, it would've been harder to have a 2nd season 'cause they would've been in different classrooms then...^_^;;; As a matter of fact, there's a small hint at the very end of the last episode that they might have thought about a 2nd season indeed...the scene where Waseda goes to the old classroom to get Baka: as soon as they leave, a girl comes out of the locker where she was hiding...now, that's the beginning of another storyline from the manga! I've just ended reading the manga (at first I didn't wanna do it so a not to have anything spoilered, and when I started subbing I still preferred not to read it 'cause I didn't want to risk copying somebody else's translations, even unconsciously...but as soon as I finished subbing, I went and read it ^__^) and there's this character appearing right after they have moved to the 2nd year...she's a freshman who used to be a friend of Baka's but then had to move to another town and lost contact...well, that's the girl coming out of the locker, so there IS hope for a sequel...fingers crossed! ^___-)
OK, I've done that (it really took A LOT of patience!!!)...you can find my attempt at subbing the 5th episode…
Thanks for the nice words! Much appreciated! ^___- p.s. ...and sorry for the poor quality of the 5th episode...the next one is turning out much better, thanks to tips and helps I got on d-addicts! ^___-
I'm European so I might not understand the feelings of those involved but to me this sounds like a modern type…
Very well said! I'm also very worried by this witch hunt atmosphere...imho it's as simple as that: if you don't like it, don't watch it. Luckily, the world of Asian dramas is so big that there's room in it for all kinds of genres, subgenres, topics, themes...and points of view. Instead of acting as the torch-wielding mob of an old Frankenstein movie, people should imho learn to: a) respect different opinions b) value freedom of speech c) relax, relax, relax ^_____^;;;
Hi Dylan, of course that's only my humble opinion, 'cause judging by the rating other people are linking / have liked it. To me it was really, really, really bad. Imagine the lousiest American sitcom from around 50 years ago (including the überobnoxious and constant laugh track!), substitute the origial cast with Japanese actors, and this is the result...^_^;
If anybody could find files .srt with the original Japanese subs of the episodes still unsubbed in English, we could maybe try running them through GoogleTranslate first and then - with a lot of patience! - try to give some sense to whatever will come out of that...^_^;;;
I expected this to be a very funny comedy with a few deep moments. Instead I found it an überdepressing drama with a few (waaaay to few, imho!) funny moments. Dropped. /.__.\
