Why is the uniform looks like dodgers uniform. lol
Some of the oldest Japanese teams based their uniforms on MLB ones: the Chuunichi Dragons from Nagoya indeed copied the Dodgers, the Yomiuri Giants from Tokyo took after the Giants (no surprise there, LOL), the Hanshin Tigers took from both SD (home) and ChiSox (away), the Hiroshima Toyo Carp from Cincinnati...
The only thing that I hate about Natsu in this story is how spineless he is, considering that everyone keeps kicking…
I can't help but think that Natsu's been written like that 'cause the writer was not able (or perhaps just couldn't care?) to portray a male character (hence all those "hmmm" he mutters, tantamount to not giving him a voice). It's basically the very same thing (with sexes inverted) that many lousy writers from a century ago did: not being able (or not caring) to give a voice and some depth to female characters, they only had them faint or scream. It was wrong back then, it's still wrong nowadays.
Hi, may I ask where you were able to watch all 11 episodes please? I can only find up to episode 10, nowhere seems…
No, you're right, I also watched only 10 episodes, though it seemed "complete" that way (considering there's been a 2nd season, I mean) and I hadn't noticed the discrepancy until you pointed it out...thinking about it, I wonder whether the missing episode was perhaps some kind of "special" or something like that? Affaire à suivre, as the French say! >____<
This is one of the worst instances of anti-intellectual drivel I've read on this website. This is what happens…
I shared my own opinion and explained it. Why don't you write your own review sharing with us all your opinion and explaining it? I guess writing a curt, insulting, arrogant reply like that is a lot easier, huh? Blocked ya!
It was pretty nice, I liked it! ^_____^ I'm just not so sure about the ending...am I the only one who thinks it was a bit rushed and left too much open/unresolved? Or it's just 'cause I didn't understand it properly since I watched it unsubbed and highly likely missed a few lines here and there? I'd gladly hear other viewers' opinions about the ending! Yoroshiku ne! ^___-
Does anybody have any recommendations for dramas which are similar to this? I'm having withdrawal symptoms and…
I know it's 10 YEARS after your question, but just in case you're still on MDL and still interested, watch "Kogure Shashinkan". Very similar imho! ^___-
I really don't understand why they thought it right to use that awful electronic "music" (quotation marks 'cause that's only freaking NOISE to me!)...classical music and/or jazz would've been a much, much better choice!!!
Ugh so boring 💤. They aren't even cute when acting all awkward 'discovering' their feelings...
The way *I* would have written it (very "90s style", LOL - roles that could've been written for the 90s' Sorimachi and Takeuchi! ^___-): I would have had the ML as a male chauvinist philanderer, and the FL as a staunch, borderline man-hating feminist. And then I would have had them change and grow bit by bit, due to many (often outrageous and funny) happenings, until their final realization that they would be way better, stronger and happier together, in mutual love and respect. Cheesy and unoriginal? Yep, you bet. But a gazillion times more entertaining and fun to watch than this yawnfest! ^___-
I have no problem with the American Arc. I think it's important for the story and it was the premise from the…
I would've had no problem whatsoever with the "American Arc", had it been consistent with the first half of the story (as in, a *Japanese* drama partially *set* in the US). For example, I remember enjoying the movie "The Vancouver Asahi", which was, like, *entirely* set in North America. But that didn't make it any less Japanese. What we have here is instead a series made of half a Japanese drama to which they attached half of an American series. As for the "propaganda" thingy, what I mentioned was - as I think I clearly stated - just "one example" out of several. Take another example: how the problem with the hospital bill got *magically* resolved. Maybe because it would've been bad publicity for the US if they'd remained realistic and shown that they'd have to ruin themselves to pay the hospital bills? (---> https://www.cnbc.com/2019/11/10/americans-are-drowning-in-medical-debt-what-to-know-if-you-need-help.html) More generally, the whole second half felt like they were force-feeding us Western values and culture while being borderline disrespectful of Japan, its people and its culture. So it felt to me and to others, feel free to utterly disagree, of course! But some of us didn't like the "Japan is that funny little country where they made Godzilla movies, and Japanese are those funny little people who make those weird faces" approach. I understand you didn't see it that way and I completely respect your opinion. I just beg you to please do the same and respect ours. Peace! ^___-
