Chan Young was in the initial Netflix announcement years ago when they greenlit a S2 It wouldn’t be a spoiler…
Yeah they did. And that’s exactly the same case with AOUAD. Both adaptations made a couple changes and left a cliffhanger. Caused #Netflix. And their money chasing love for “seasons”.
Chan Young was in the initial Netflix announcement years ago when they greenlit a S2 It wouldn’t be a spoiler…
ugh I’m still traumatised by sweet home 2. Somehow, sweet home 3 managed seal that trauma for the worst, even if it was “marginally better” than the rock bottom S2 had reached.
They also ruined two characters that made it into my all time favourites just for how complex and unique (for kdramaland) they were (Hyun Su; Eun Hyeok). I guess I’ll have to read the webtoon even though I don’t enjoy that format of media.
I’m actually thinking hoping that S2 of AOUAD gets cancelled now. Like just free the cast and audience from this uncertainty and constant delays.
And I sincerely truly despise and hate Netflix. The only good thing they’ve done for Kdramas has been the💰they’ve given for higher budgets. Otherwise……… 🪦
Especially F. them and their aggressive push for seasonal format. They just want to keep hanging on the subscribers.
I think he just wants to make a name for himself and get cash before he goes to military ( i cant blame him for…
Hopefully this is true. Because I can see some potential and currently love the guy for his Sweet Home (season 1) character and feel a bit bad for him for some excessive hate he’s got (that’s gone much beyond constructive criticism).
Looking at his filmography and non stop projects, it does feel like his agency has tried to establish him as a name in the industry whether good or bad in the limited he has before his enlistment. In a, it’s better to create buzz and be infamous than just another struggling young good looking aspirer. ‘Course that’s more profitable for the agency too.

Mdl doesn’t really know I don’t think. They tend to just put stuff sometimes. And listing him as a cameo might be more of a giveaway? I think he was listed as main here since forever
Can’t help it. Netflix added him in their first announcement for renewal.
It’s honestly fine. They know a good bunch of people cared about him and may only come back if he is.
I’m more concerned about getting my hopes up. I’ve seen Netflix and all use some actor for promotion only for them to betray and be completely something else one too many times to trust
i get people are mad cause they won’t be “look like kids anymore” but cheong san’s actor is older than…
idk about by the time filming does actually happen for this
but during filming of the first season, his actor had only just graduated from high school, and On Jo’s actress was still in high school. So they were pretty much the same age as their characters
Which helped to balance out against much older actors like Dae Su’s or Joon Yeong’s or that murderer Na Yeon
But I thought Lomon (Su Hyeok) already looked a bit too old to be playing a high schooler in S1 and definitely in that other school revenge drama of his he did after. Maybe because I’d seen him before when he was younger & skinnier….
Chan Young was in the initial Netflix announcement years ago when they greenlit a S2
It wouldn’t be a spoiler tbh. They could totally use him as a mere cameo, like a spectre or ghost or memory
They could even have him on the poster for season 2 pretending he’s still a main character… only for him to be appear like once in the first and last episodes 💀a la #Sweet Home 2
nah.they were crying and rating this low because a woman carried the second season. this would be higher without…
😂😂😂😂
it sounds like one of those immature teen hypocritical femnazis, who try to shift blame to unrelated political agenda and gaslight people into agreeing with them

Oh thank god for this comment. I was just trying to argue this point with this guy in another thread. But you got the same response I did for far less words 😭
Netflix has been doing these mistakes with Korean series lately.
I’m not sure I can call it mistakes atp. It’s a conscious decision to repeatedly milk the tired cow for every last drop till it drops dead. Then when people are turned off Kdramas in general because they’ve become seasonal trashes, Netflix will pack its bags, take its production finances and head off to the new emerging market to employ the same formula.
both seasons are good, actor fans wanted more shine for their boy and some didn't like a girl having more screentime.
@yuta Are you like one of those anti Song Kang or anti pretty male actors guy that automatically assume that when people are complaining or disappointed with a script, it’s just because pretty male face isn’t there.
Have you even watched season 1? There was obviously more to season 1 than just Song Kang or his character.
He isn’t the only one missing here. NONE of the season 1 cast are on screen at all. Go Min Si’s Eun Yu is there but even she is just helplessly wandering doing nothing. And she’s also barely there either, it’s just that she does appear in every episode unlike the other missing S1 characters. And absolutely nothing is happening with the gazillion new unremarkable characters either. I can only remember they exist because I’m actually familiar with the casts playing them, but there is nothing to their characters.
Had to get through this while fast-forwarding to scenes with any S1 characters. Only to be disappointed.
Like oh! There’s the glasses dude from S1, he’s alive! And… where did his character development go…. why is he back to being an ass……. and there he poofs into the void again… Is no one going to tell me what happened to Bomi the dog or her owner?? Why did they bring back the awesome womb monster lady only to… show her naked butt and just kill her off??? More meaninglessly killed S1 character after doing nothing with them: little girl. Oh look! Eun Yu reunion moment with someone she knows, the poor gir— Nope. Yi Kyung don’t care mate. Buh bye. Speaking of, the woman gave birth to a literal monster child. Why are we not following that instead of more scenes with: some annoying military guy + sick girl couple some random two grown & vain women randomly claiming another woman as their mother, -wait what? Can someone tell this makeup girl she’ll be face monster 2.0 in no time at this rate? Why isn’t she already -.- that would have been more interesting… some hippie priest with a fanclub, is this guy supposed to be the sorry replacement for S1’s charming Bible obsessed, katana holder? more random and annoying people doing nothing of note
And why tf would they kill off Ji Soo?! So mad. Right after making her half deaf?? And she hasn’t even had time to recover from her appendicitis. And what was with the tension build right before the bombing, seeming to imply she may get a nosebleed/her cut may heal and she’ll join the infected? The death scene where she’s smiling and Eun Yu’s crying in denial was nicely shot tho, I’ll give them that. (For webtoon fans this death may be unforgivable. As Ji Soo was originally the female lead in it and the reason behind this series being named Sweet Home.)
And the main villain, where’d he disappear off to after all that fuss he made ? The psycho doctor too, we’re made to think we’ll be spending a lot of time with him and his experiment lab and subjects. But that place goes kaboom very quickly and his ass gets saved for whatever reason and now he’s just chilling at the bunker camp. Not experimenting. Even with a new lab.
Among the endless new and hot military guys, we have Park Chan Yeong who is more memorable because his introduction happens separately and he’s, whatever for strange reason, outcast from their group. He’s also a nice person in a sea of annoying or selfish one-note people. Which makes him easier to root for. But also, bish, can you move aside? Either follow Eun Yu or go back home yourself. Stop trying to drag her back to that dreadful bunker. I’d like for her to leave that place behind as much as she does too.
And Cha Hyun Su is still advertised and listed as the main character. So why we aren’t seeing him? Where’s His character development? He’s a pretty complex character, there’s so much you can do with him….
i rated it almost ten and gasped when i read all the negative comments 😭 i kinda understand where the season…
Your characters make the show. They are the reason behind the original success. The reason why anyone is ever interested in watching a continuation of the story, a sequel.
This isn’t a spin-off. It’s a direct sequel. When a show appears to seemingly flip out its entire cast to a new one, there are bound to be disappointed audiences. It was somewhat inevitable for this drama, considering by the S1 ending only a few characters remained standing. Not bad for a standalone piece, as it’s tragic. But for a sequel? You have big shoes to fill in. Doesn’t help that few remaining characters from S1 are also quickly disposed off.
And a good majority of characters introduced in this sequel are…. well for starters they aren’t even introduced properly. Especially after the sudden time skip. We get too many new faces all at once with a very bizarre time skip and an even more bizarre choice to withhold information about the characters and the timeline. People don’t care about most of the military guys because the military in general is introduced as the assholes in ep 1 who are killing innocent people. It’s also hard to distinguish them with their uniforms and lack of personality. The other sundry characters in the survivors camp are likewise unlikeable and also just there… they aren’t even serving as the peanut gallery like the S1 guys because there’s nothing really happening where they live.
This drama is in that category of it’s so bad that it’s good.
The story development is crack. Like someone wrote the script while they were high af. And the characters are not particularly likeable.
Yet I somehow got through this still being entertained weekly even while I was flipping my table off at the wtf writing. 100% carried by the cast. (I love Lee Si Eon, my man).
Still wouldn’t rewatch. Wouldn’t recommend either 😂

I feel so old seeing all these 90s liners and even early 2000s go into military *sniff*
Can’t help it. Netflix added him in their first announcement for renewal.

forget about 2. Even if there’s an annoying cliffhanger just make your own ending
but during filming of the first season, his actor had only just graduated from high school, and On Jo’s actress was still in high school. So they were pretty much the same age as their characters

ahhh… I hateeee Netflix….
I don’t want a season 2 for All of us are Dead at this rate. It’s gonna be equally 💩💩 I feel it
Then genuinely wonders if “x” has a fan following….. ?
What exactly do you think the term overrated means lmao
it sounds like one of those immature teen hypocritical femnazis, who try to shift blame to unrelated political agenda and gaslight people into agreeing with them
S2 - 🍑🍑🍑🍑
You can still recommend it to your friends. Just consider S1 as standalone, which had a webtoon to somewhat rely on.
Seriously, who judges people for enjoying or not enjoying a fictional drama?
Have you even watched season 1? There was obviously more to season 1 than just Song Kang or his character.
