As I've already wrote in a feeds' post, you've spoiled us with something new, we didn't even know we need :) Concerning ratings accuracy disputes, my only comment is that ratings are and will always be a subjective matter, so MDLers' true or fake (?) age is only one of the many variables ;P
Unique story, cozy atmosphere, clever writing, brilliant dialogues, realistic and engaging characters, surprising humor and excellent acting! One of the best female and friendship centered slice-of-life dramas
Watching Kim Hye Yoon vividly protest against the writer, as well as her hilarious monologues, is a pure delight! She's so refreshing, cute and talented! Great things await in her acting future
If I may add a movie suggestion: "The Odd Family: Zombie on Sale" Not your typical zombie movie, but it has an unusual cute zombie, a bit of horror, silly comedy and Kim Nam Gil!
"Don’t think, don’t overanalyze, feel what’s around you, absorb rather than learn." Soothing, comforting and surprisingly refreshing, the last movie of late Kiki Kirin is a tribute to Japanese tea ceremony rituals. Quiet and slow-paced just like "the way of tea" dictates, but surprisingly addicting, this character-centered story perfectly depicts the passing of the seasons and expresses the wonder of the present moment through the wonderful Japanese spiritual culture. The natural, subdued and refined acting of both late Kiki Kirin and Kuroki Haru, combined with the elegant cinematography made this film an exquisitely calming and unique experience!
Interesting bittersweet movie and, although the twist was a bit predictable, it was a good watch, mainly because of the character oriented story-telling and the excellent acting from Kamiki Ryunosuke and Arimura Kasumi.
The most refreshing, zany drama of this year - totally unpredictable plot, a hilarious ride from beginning to end! That scene with the name-tags internationalization was so cleverly done! and that dance...
Probably the best first episode of a drama this year! Really loved it Couldn't stop smiling, especially during the second half :D Jang Dong Yoon is so adorable! He is shining in his role
A criminally underrated gem! Touching, emotionally heavy subject derived from a real life story, presented in a realistic, positive, heart-warming way. The relationship between Cho Won and his mother is painfully captivating, while Cho Won's interactions with his family and surroundings are equally humorous and heart-wrenching. Jo Seung Woo's acting is out of this world!!! One of the most talented actors in a superb, magical performance... What makes his portrayal so convincing is that he never tries to be in the spotlight or wants to be the star of the movie: he is just who he is in a subtle and authentic, as humanly possible, way. Don't miss it!
Wonderful cinematography, fast pacing and solid acting made this simple, predictable story very enjoyable! A highly recommended lighthearted, suspenceful and fun action/comic movie
With all these stellar cast members, I was a bit sceptical but, surprisingly, it was very entertaining - not even a dull moment during the 133 min of this movie! I really liked its Agatha Christie's mystery vibes but, most of all, I loved Yamagishi and Nitta's clashing over how to treat customers/potential suspects and their problems, deceptions, scandals and red herrings they had to deal with. A definite must-watch for a weekend movie night!
Addicting, adorable, a breath of fresh air! Kuroki Haru delivered such a lovable Nagi - I really loved her hair, t-shirts and self-discovery. Takahashi Issei was excellent as usual: his heartwarming smile, his heartbreaking cry, his jerk-ish behavior were always on point... hated him one second and loved him the next!
A beautiful, soothing, heart-warming slice of life drama! It may be a bit slow-paced, but it is surprisingly well-written and enjoyable - not even one dull moment! Captivating scenery, perfectly fitted music, interesting characters delivered by talented actors. Highly recommended!
