I'll re-comment it as its own thing and hopefully it'll stay at the top long enough for people that need it, to see it. but thank you :) I rlly wanted to help but i didn't know if that was comprehendible.

Title Sisyphus: The Myth Spoiler
So the future is kinda different world? I meant Sohae explained that she doesnt know sauna etc & war happened…
Han Tae Sul didn't write the diary. Seo Hae wrote the diary and gave it to her 9 year old self. I'm too lazy to rewrite what I put (lol) but I responded to Bebel with an in-depth explanation so you can read that

For the sake of making things easier to understand i'm going to give her numbers.

Seo Hae that the story follows = Seo Hae 1
Seo Hae that gave the diary to Seo Hae 1 = Seo Hae 2
9 year old Seo Hae that we haven't met yet = Seo Hae 3

Seo Hae (2) gave Seo Hae (1) the diary when Seo Hae (1) was nine years old. Hence when the war broke out. Seo Hae (1) never married him, in fact she never even met him until the whole ordeal at the conference. The conference was her first time meeting him hence her saying "you look different than the photo" (the photo being the magazine photo she saw of him). The flashback we saw were actually of Seo Hae (2) aka the one who wrote the diary and is currently dead. That's why Seo Hae (1) said she doesn't know when he asked her about the wedding photo. We haven't yet met Seo Hae (3) yet bc she's currently 9. However we have seen a glimpse of her dad on episode 4. You might've missed it but he was the cop asking why they were blocking off the road (during the car chase). If Seo Hae (2) succeeds at stopping the war and saving Tae Sul (and thus breaking the time loop) then the diary thing won't happen, BUT if she fails....Seo Hae (2) will end up writing the same message in the diary to give to Seo Hae (3) and the story will repeat.

If that needs more explanation lemme know. I tried to make it easy to understand but time travel is a rlly hard concept to explain or understand in tv shows bc the rules are always different

I get confused with time travel dramas. So park shin hye from future is trying to warn the hero and stop him from…
okay so there are only two hers. The nine year old her that's alive rn and the her that the show is following. The Seo Hae that the show follows wrote the diary and gave it to her nine year old self. It's basically an on going cycle (hence the name of the show). The show is called Sisyphus which is a greek myth that you can look up to get the story. Her life is basically been her trying to get the bolder to the top of the mountain (reference to the greek myth). The nine year old her always keeps the diary with her but thats why she doesn't know about the wedding bc she hasn't experienced it. The Seo Hae that gave the diary to her experienced the wedding and not her.

I just wanted to try to explain the time travel thing with the diary so lemme know if you want me to explain it any further. Time travel is always trippy in dramas bc the rules of time travel always vary and you can never use the rules from another drama bc its always different.

I like both dramas but it isn't a fair comparison. Vincenzo is a dark comedy and Beyond Evil is a psychological thriller. They're gonna have different setups bc they serve different purposes.

I recommend going on mydramacool comment sections as they are completely different of this site, over there u…
this comment section is just straight up dramatic. I've seen people talking about this show on different platforms but nothing this bad has been said on any other platform...it sucks because a lot bc its causing a lot people to not wanna watch it. I've also seen a lot of people say theres plot holes or I don't understand this...when if they just keep watching it then they'll have their answers. We've only had 4 episodes air so I don't know what people expect. If you know everything after only watching 4 episodes then the show is most likely boring. You're supposed to understand things as you watch..not from the get go. I've also seen someone ask a question abt the plot and they complained saying it doesn't make sense and its hard to understand....their question was literally answered in the very next episode (and it was also answered in the trailer). They asked why seo hae was trying to find tae sul. That was answered in the trailer and also answered in episode 4. Its way too early in the show for people to be saying it doesn't make sense or there are plot holes.

i just rewatched the scene after you said that but that wasn't han tae sul....how would that even make sense?…
that would still mean that the wedding happened before the scenes of her in the future.

another thing that hasn't been accounted for is the other her. the one of this time period. I'm not sure if you caught it or not but one of the cops that was blocking the road was her dad (he was the one asking questions about why they were blocking it and stuff). So it begs the question whats happening with the other her. President Park said that memories and stuff alter and one of them will cease to exist and we saw that in action with the cop that now works for the control bureau. The him of the future ended up dying in gunfire. He's kinda in a time loop. He gets recruited by the control bureau and becomes one of them...stuff happens and now he regrets everything that he did in the past and he travels back in time...says goodbye to his grandma and gives his car to tae sul and seo hae.... his present self thinks seo hae stole his car (it was in the episode 5 preview)...he gets recruited by the control bureau...and so it repeats over and over again. I wonder if thats also happening to Seo Hae. What if this isn't her first time trying to save him (well its the first time for this version of her but i mean kinda like the control bureau guy) but this is probably going to be her breaking the time loop and saving him. That normally what happens in shows with a time loop...the main character finally breaks the time loop during the season that we're watching

i don't think that she dies at her wedding. I know she dies but i'm not sure if thats when she dies. remember that the guy who shot her said "its either the world or the girl. choose one" and she looked at tae sul and said no but he looked pretty distraught and then it cut the scene. Then we know the world pretty much ends and stuff so I'm under the impression that the wedding happened before everything went to garbage. Like think about it...how would their wedding manage to look like that if this was after the world ended (we saw scenes of her after it ended and everything looks like a wasteland including the insides of buildings).

I just looked at the picture but now i'm just in a state of confusion as to why that would be him. The bridge of nose looks the same and the eyebrows seem similar (its kinda covered) but the eyes seem different (it could be angle). I also compared it with another scene bc I was questioning it after you said it but it didn't seem like it was the same person. I'm not sure if its just the photo or... but like if it's him why would he be in the military thingy (ik u can't answer this but its just a question going on in my head)

The thing with the painting makes sense but i'm still questioning what his motives for that would be. there are so many questions so i'm excited for next week's episode

if these comments are discouraging you from watching the show pls ignore them. watch the show and form your own opinion abt it because these comments are way too harsh. The CGI needs a lot of improvement in a lot of the scenes and the action scenes need improvement too but thats not even the whole premise of the show. If you're a big action fanatic then you might hate that but I'm more interested in the actual plot so it doesn't bother me too much (same with the CGI). I've seen a lot of contradicting criticisms saying its either too slow or too fast, so again i implore you to just give it a try to form your own opinions. Its important to note that this show had a rating of 8.6 on February 23rd but within 3 hours, a bunch of haters/trolls caused the ratings to drop to a 7.7. And this was before episode three even aired. Currently it is at an 8.2. It's really important you consider all of these factors before deciding to write this show off just because of the harsh comments when there are also a bunch unfair/bias criticism.

I wanted to watch this but judging by the comments, this drama must be a joke. I think I'll pass
the comments are too harsh. the cgi needs work on some scenes but the plot is interesting. i've seen comments saying its too slow and comments saying its too fast (for me the pacing is fine) so i'd say just watch it and form your own opinions
