can't even feel bad for minju at the end because that's literally what she does to yunjae, doesn't take no for…
Yes, she was single white female-ing her. I was genuinely afraid for the characters around her. She is not in the clear, yet. I see Jieun forgiving her too easily because she seems to be a well intentioned, slight push over. Min Ju needs to have a heroic act or completely change by the end to help her case.

Why do people keep calling Ji Eun "Ji Hoon"? It's so weird to call her that.
Well I ship as her as the woman she is with Yu Ri, I think others maybe doing that, too. That's what I'm trying to say. It's not black and white for me at least, I don't automatically see her as a man (unless she starts identifying as such). I use "Ji Hun" to relay the brilliant efforts of the actor in his character. He makes his character his own. I wouldn't be complimenting Ji Eun/A Rin in that instance. The characters also differentiate the persona of "Ji Hun", Yoon Jae included. So we are also talking about the male persona she puts on for others. It's really just an easier, better way to communicate.

She goes by Ji Hun in boy form, so it's not disrespectful. We can't help if that's what the show/character decides.

The writers knew they needed to humanize Min Ju. The stalker got a stalker. Hopefully, she turns a new leaf. Maybe she'll see through the curse and realize her new friend should be treated with respect.

So far (ep 6) it hasn't
What's causing the constant switching back and forth between man and woman is the ongoing mystery that Yoon Jae and Ji H/Eun are trying to figure out (the kissing debacle came from them theorizing a kiss would transform her back like a fairytale). Kim Ji Eun's family has a generational curse where one of the women turn into a man in early adulthood explained in episode 2. It happened to Ji Eun's mom. The parents alluded to it being a curse from a witch when they were kids, but a faulty gene when they were grown ups. It's not clear but that's what we have so far.

I can’t get behind "gender bender." Manhood and womanhood aren’t costumes you try on and discard whenever…
Well, if you think about it, the genre is called gender-bender, but it isn't the characters switching gender. Gender is social construct. The main character is switching sex. She still identifies as a woman even when she's in a male body. Her BF still acknowledges the gender she is. It is sometimes a struggle for him to look past sex=gender, but he is and this situation is challenging his perspective. He's just also an awful character that we can't even appreciate when he does see her for her šŸ˜‚

I am done with this drama, it has become HORRIBLE. Yunjae is one of the worst male characters EVER. I thought…
You are valid for this. I'm watching for Ji Hun and Yu Ri, while I'm side eyeing Yoon Jae the whole time.

The way I was giggling and rolling around at the NK joke, omo. And we got our Ji E/Hun & Yu Ri kiss ā¤ļø Edit: also the sis applying mascara to her lips by accident was hilarious as well.

I finally get this show. This isn't about Yoon Jae loving Ji Eun even if she looks like a dude, it is about Ji…
Right! I'm kind of glad when the show becomes more about Ji Eun/Ji Hun, and her/their issues with the curse rather than the romance. The romance is basically a farce (thank god, because I don't want to take Yun Jae seriously. He's a man child 😭).

Wouldn't it be nice if Kang Min Ju had crush on Kim Ji Hun instead of Yoon Jae. It could have been more chaotic…
yes, tbh, i'd watch that lol

I think it's cute, nothing spectacular. Not a lot of romance, it's more of a comedy of errors playing upon gender roles—which is probably why I'm liking it so far. I don't know how much longer I'll keep watching, but I like what Yoo Jung Hoo is giving to his role as a male counterpart. The only eye roll is the absolute panic about kissing a "man", even if the BF is a straight man—it's just a tired comedic trope that is 2000s pilled; however, Ji Hun's character is respectable, and balances out the gender-bender tropes with some nuance. It reminds me of "A Good Day to Be a Dog", a little.

I'm kind of hoping for more plot, and for Ji Hun/Ji Eun to continue to out-stage her boyfriend. Tbh, I wouldn't call this a bromance/bl, it's squarely in the gender-bender genre. If this wasn't a romance, and the plot just centered on Ji Hun/Ji Eun navigating their curse, this would be so much better, imo. Sorry, Yun Jae. He's the weakest link for me. But, not totally bad that I'd write him off just yet.

CC didn't lie to WSW about his ex though. When did he do that?
It was when Wu Qi cried in his arms about the ex before having sex "then don't sleep with him"…he says "I won't…" then Wu Qi goes on and on about the ex to his face and Chi Cheng doesn't tell the truth of what is happening, he rolls with the doctor's lie. Go back and watch at minute 22;22 in episode 11. Chi Cheng was aware, and he doesn't deny it again when in the scene I pointed out previously in episode 12. This is a fact I would not make up lightly, I swear. This is the very complex issue that they these two overcome in episode 12, and what brings Wu Qi to consider telling the truth about his own lie. It was in fact his business, and that is why he admits guilt. Otherwise, he could've used that as an excuse.

CC didn't lie to WSW about his ex though. When did he do that?
The entirety of episode 11 is a result of Chi Cheng forcing the doctor to lie to Wu Qi, or else. Wu Qi was panicking about Chi Cheng's ex coming back because he was lead to believe that was the case, and Chi Cheng went with it. He reveals this plan at the end of episode 12, and admits fault. Rewatch from minute 34:43 in episode 12. (My use of "hypocrite" is literally quoting Wu Qi's dialogue in that scene). He explains Chi Cheng's ruse about the ex succinctly. Chi Cheng literally says "I admit it" (well, with my subtitles anyway). I didn't fabricate hypocrite or karma, those are direct quotes from the show 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Pretty much every character in this drama is plotting in their own way whether you liked it or not so to solely…
Both of these characters are lying to each other so I don't feel sorry for either one. I don't necessarily think they're even, but it offers an easier path towards reconciliation because of Chi Cheng lying, too (it's a classic storytelling tactic to give Wu Qi more empathy for how he plotted "revenge"). They are both hypocrites about not wanting to be lied to but lying themselves, and that's their flaws. It's make them complex characters (well, in the grand schemes of things. They are both tropes heavily inspired by fan-fiction). Maybe you misunderstood me, because when I say hypocrite and flaws, it's in storytelling terms. Not criticism—I've checked my brain at the door for this show.

Through the novel, it becomes clear that those were merely ordinary sweet candies, and covering the eyes was solely…
lol, I was wondering why he was unblinking during that scene…it was kind of unnerving and it made him seem more of a freak without this context, imo.
