Oh shit, we're getting a time jump, boys. Buckle in.
I'm kind of glad, I want to get the hell out of these high school settings already. Plus, it offers a chance to see their skills level up to professionals.
Hmm. I think I'll wait until the series is finished to continue watching. Was not impressed with episode one. It came across as an unintentional parody. 🌈
Chi Cheng squeezing that stress toy comparing it to Wu Qi's face 💀💀💀 I thought this episode was great. The plot is moving along now and they are finally developing a deeper level of intimacy. Wu Qi was definitely JOing to Chi Cheng. Yeah buddy, your "acting" is great 🙄 🤣
ngl every time they talk about buying and selling snakes i stop knowing what the hell is going on 😭 confuses…
The texts were from Wu Qi. I believe he explains what he sent in the playground scene with his shifu, Dr. Shuai. Subtitles said he was texting Chi cheng's mom about how he is gay and that she basically can't change his sexuality. It was a tactic to goad her into arranging the "business trip" so Yue Yue would grow to hate Chi Cheng's pet snake. Wu Qi's texts to Yue Yue were basically telling her that her in-laws will never accept her, personal attacks. Sorry for no direct translation, I don't speak/read the language.
I guess snakes are the main characters here. All they talk is about snakes. I don't understand most of them (ep3)…
It does not end, it's a main plot thread that ties into everything thing else. Episode 5 and 6, more romance starts, but it's a continual cat-and-mouse game.
Stoooooop. Every time Yue Yue's song started to happen and repeat 💀😂 The ending felt abrupt this time around, but I appreciate his shifu pointing out how his love rival has changed. Then Wu Qi buying a proper gift, a nice little touch to close out the episode. Something I keep wondering is Shuai, he says "what's wrong with me" even though he is open, and wouldn't be gay panicking at this stage, he doesn't have any lies like Wu Qi's to deter romance either. Maybe there is something I am missing or it hasn't be explored yet.
please tell me if this is worth watching !!! i have never watched a single bl in my life and don’t know if i…
This would be a crazy one to start with, but might as well take the jump. That's how the rest of us started, anyway. Just note, BL is highly fantasized, more than your average romance.
Ziyu getting dragged around in the airport by fans just after release of few episodes which can’t even be viewed…
Yeah, I mean look at the MDL score. No other countries get the same support (especially JBL). Don't under estimate China. If that censorship ever gets lifted, its gangbusters.

I wrote a whole dissertation in another comment of why I don't think the show is 100% romanticizing this moment. To me this kiss comes off as a toxic trait Hayakawa is still processing. Konno can't fix years of repression and an emotional disorder with one rooftop speech. This kiss shows Hayakawa still has issues to sort out for the rest of the show. Otherwise, they would've romanticized the aggressive bedroom scene at the episode's start, too—but they didn't. Konno's behaviors are also sketchy, like spying on someone having sex and forcing Haya to divulge sensitive, private information. All these "sexy, romantic" moments have a subversive underlying element to them.
Also yeah, they set up the previous scene to make you believe he is actually sleeping this time around too, at least that's my guess. It just feels too convenient to believe. Either way, its a stupid BL trope.
I’m sorry but what the hell was that?? First he apologizes—twice—for forcing himself on Ryohei, and then…
Do you find it plausible that Konno did not fall asleep? It's interesting that he said "let's take a nap" inviting Hayakawa to sleep next to him. Then to immediately fall asleep? I smell a trope. I genuinely don't believe he was sleeping. Let's see if this is revisited or not, but this is a classic bait-and-switch BLs pull all the time.
1. Imagine being bullied your whole childhood for being who you are, stuffing that down except around the one person who you thought you could trust. Then face the ultimate betrayal when that person reveals themselves to also think the same as everyone else, proceeding to bully and abandon you. It'd give you every reason to destroy what made you different, and hide. Take that guitar and think about how it symbolizes being gay in a homophobic society.
2. There is a very poignant message here about repression from childhood trauma and how it manifests. Hayakawa's repression arrives in the form of borderline personality disorder, specifically impulsive sex, mood swings, and loss of temper. The show doesn't romanticize his behaviors. This misconduct is treated as a toxic trait, and a warning to those who do not properly heal themselves. Often the case, abusers are once victims themselves. This is why the show heavily focuses on his childhood, to understand how repression and emotional disorders begin. Approach this mature subject matter with caution and sensitivity like the show does, rather than pearl clutch and totally miss the point.
3. There is more to Konno as well, he took care of himself when Haya got aggressive. He also crosses boundaries, too. Spying, prying, and pushing Haya to his breaking points. It's a complex relationship building between the two while also complimenting each other.
It's okay if you don't like it, but many people do and I feel like saying it's not a "good BL" is wrong. This…
Yes, I respect their opinion if one is taking the romance seriously. However, I'm in the same boat as you. This is a full comedy. They really said hold my beer to Zettai BL ni Naru Sekai VS Zettai BL ni Naritakunai Otoko, and this became the better BL comedy.
In addition, I think this fan-dating conflict is actually extremely intriguing, it comes with a whole hosts of problems that would be interesting to explore. They are subtlety doing it under the guise of slapstick humor.
That was fun but shouldn't Hajime said that he's already his bf so what's the need of this quiz lol? 🤣
I think the punchline to the quiz was that he wasn't trying to be a love rival, but rival the position of Oni-Chan, which could mean big bro. It was left somewhat ambiguous whether his love was truly fraternal, usually they'd say Onii-san or Aniki rather than Oni-Chan (boyfriend moniker). Clever play on words to keep one guessing. It was settled that Hajime only thought of him as an older brother, and I assume he thought it was just a fan quiz. At first I thought the same, but the reveal cleared it up for me, at least. It was a nice subversion, and parody of that love rival trope that can completely change a show's dynamic with its introduction—this was in the funny meta commentary of the two producer women in the show while it was happening. 😂
Also yeah, they set up the previous scene to make you believe he is actually sleeping this time around too, at least that's my guess. It just feels too convenient to believe. Either way, its a stupid BL trope.
