I don't really get some people deliberately hating on this drama. I mostly see it for dramas that either have popular actors whose antis or fans of contemporaries leaving hate comments and giving low rating or dramas which have toxic content or for dramas that have a fan fav SML.
It had one of the most positive comment section while it was on air with everyone who followed it absolutely loving every single episode and then panicking and getting restless at the smallest twists and turns. But once the drama ended and started having too much buzz around it and the main actors being the talk of the town, suddenly a lot of negative reviews and troll comments started to pop up. Most are either plain trolls or ones who started watching a genre they don't enjoy simply because its popular. Dont know what exactly those people were expecting from a fantasy romcom. And they are mad that this drama has a 9.1 rating and compare it to dramas having entirely different genre and get mad why those dramas don't have this much rating. 🙄

Feel free to write long posts. I myself end up writing long posts most of the time. 😂

I guess some people's favourite pass time is to hate on LR and hyeyoon and underestimate the success of the drama while even after 2 months of its ending it's still being talked about and refered in it's home country.

It's released in only 15-16 countries and majorly on asian countries i think. It's now on Netflix India but they started showing it on the coming soon lost just a day or two before.

If it's simply about looks and eye candy then all of song kang and crew dramas would be rated 9 and above.
Some people just don't want to hate on this drama and give reasons with no logic to back it up.

It simply shows that hyeyoon as sol was worth waiting for and sunjae is not a shallow superficial human being who only cares about how pretty a girl is on the outside.

My demon and king the land were weekend dramas.

But she never got overshadowed at the awards and have most of the prestigious awards to her name.

Are you new to kdramas? They even show ml and fl in their late 30s and 40s doing clingy teenage stuff in kdrama romcom. Catching those petals was for a wish and literally every kdrama shows some kind of wishes. Even grown up adults in their 40s-50s put coin in the water and make a wish that too in real life around the world. I guess they are all acting like little girls in real life as well.

That's exactly why the drama grabbed the attention of the masses. A lot of people here and on all over social media said the same thing as you. It brought back the feeling they had when they all first started watching kdramas.

Some people just don't know how to review or watch a fantasy romcom as a fantasy romcom and wanted to nitpick on everything to sound like they are different.

When someone resort to personal attack on a public debate then it's the first sign that they know they lost 🤣.
I know you are frustrated and don't have any other valid point to argue as you already screwed up with your apple and organe answer.
Fyi I asked that question specifically to the op. Seems like you didnt read 'according to you' and started naming dramas that are of entirely different genres.

If you have an independent thinking capability you wouldn't have aswered a question I asked someone else and gave an answer that showed you have zero idea about genres. All you have is few of the top reviews to back your claim while the drama is a hit? Pretty sure none of the reviews in mdl is more relevant than times which called LR drama of the year. 🤣

Felt like watching something toxic and thought of giving it a try 😂. I am fully aware of what I am getting into and if I get frustrated I have only myself to blame 🤣
I remember watching the first episode when it aired and dropping it immediately because of all those unnecessary closeup shots.
On ep 2 now but feels like I have been watching this forever. What exactly is the problem with nabi? Why she acts so timid? She always looks uncomfortable and weird out. Was she trying to be the Korean version of Bella from Twilight? Girl makes song kang look like a better actor.
I also noticed both besties of sunjae and Sol 🤭

And still you question the rating given by 30k+ people and call it overrated? That tells me who is the one with the below room IQ🤣

The first thing he did after coming to Korea is go on a blind date. So it don't look like he has any problem dating other women if they grab his attention. It's an 8 episode drama so obviously their main focus will be the leads and their fated love and not how many people they dated in the past.
Also the fl isn't his ex. She is just a girl he had a huge crush on in highschool. He is like the male version of her bestfriend. Just having a huge crush on someone in the past don't indicate they have been staying single and never had a relationship.

I feel the same. Since she has this laidback cool girl vibe she fits good in modern day dramas where she plays badass characters but from the teasers she isn't looking that impressive. I might be wrong and I hope I am because I liked the overall trailer.

Having a laidback vibe is nothing negative. Some have cold vibes, some have chirpy vibes some have laid back vibes. All I said is from the teasers it looks like her vibe don't match with an aura of a queen and she wasn't a queen in call or ballerina.

Saw the teasers. Liked the overall teaser but I am a little bit doubtful about Jeong jong seo. She has a laid back vibe to her and from the teasers she isn't giving the aura needed for a queen. Liked her in wedding impossible and her laid back vibe went with the character as well.

Because the character is shown as a model in the past and throughout the drama she is shown to be loosing weight. Can't do that if she cast a plus sized actress.
