What happened?

I binge watched the interest of love, revanant, a shop for killers and military prosecutor bo banman. Also watching cinder f***king Ella but not that invested in it. Also watches some episodes of LR here and there.

The ML is the professor and the cop just have some feelings for her. There is no full fledged love line going on and whether they have chemistry or not is pretty irrelevant to the story.

I have a doubt. How did the fl's father got possessed by the ghost? Did he knew haesung's mother while she was possesed? He didn't seem to be possessed when he went to the grandmother and wanted to know more. Also when he got the house and all that happened after haesung's mother died.
How did the mother got possessed instead of haesung?

Korean actresses in general don't get as many strong fan base as Korean actors. K-pop idols are a different story.
The ones who have high followers have a very glamour image. But once they have a reputation of being good actors their insta followers or how big the fandom is don't determine the kind of projects they get. Kim taeri and kim goeum have less than 10M followers on insta but gets way better projects and author backed roles in both movies and dramas than some actors (both male and female) with 15-20M followers and a solid fanbase. Most of the actors who are popular and have 20-30M followers on social media are incapable of making people buy movie tickets with their name while actors with no social media presence can sell movie tickets in their name. So don't care much about how much followers one has on social media. That only helps them on getting brand endorsements.
Also it's well known by now that kyh was changing agencies when LR was onair and bws went to running man while she wasn't giving any IVs or going to any show. Look at her now. She gave IVs, went for a shoot, went for the reward vacation and is now going to conduct her second or third fan meeting. She is busy.
It's also said that she was emotionally drained and burned out during LR. So we cannot completely say she didn't go to shows because she wasn't offered any. Maybe she needed some rest and was taking things slowly.

No female actor get more popular than male actors in kdrama and it's mainly because majority of the kdrama viewers esp international ones are women and most of them watches kdramas to drool over the male actors. There are two categories in Korea. One is the set of actors who are more famous for their looks and charm and the other set are actors with strong acting skills. Hyeyoon comes under the second category. She is well appreciated by Korean audience for her acting skill and a lot of people tuned into LR because she was the fl and people trust her acting.

Also kyh is not a new discovery. People knew her since sky castle and she got a lot of attention from sky castle. If I am not wrong she was the most popular character and actor and the one who gained the most after sky castle. By LR, people knew everything about her while bws was like the new discovery. Even though he was in the industry for 8+ yrs nobody knew much about him (nobody was interested to know) but then LR blew up and everyone wants to know more about this guy. So he gets more invites to reality shows and talk shows. Most of the talk shows and reality shows bws did were already done by kyh when sky castle and extraordinary you became a hit.

Even during extraordinary you she was the most critically acclaimed one among all the cast and also the most popular character. But then she took 2-3yrs gap in between to do movies.

People need to stop victimizing kyh. She is doing well and literally everyone appreciates her acting skills. If a drama needs an actor who can carry a character with their acting skills I am sure she will be among the top choices from her age group. Just because bws is the hot topic nowadays doesn't mean kyh is not appreciated at all.
A girl who has won almost all major awards in her country is never underrated or not appreciated and she achieved all that within 5-6 yrs. Her second fan meeting sold out like hot cakes as well.

It's said that the drama didn't had any product placement as no brand wanted to sponsor it since it didn't had bankable leads.

The friend and the fl definitely didn't sleep together. In the audio he sends the ml, at the end he asks her does she have to lie to that extend. If they slept then it's no more a lie. Also by the end the friend and the ml are back to being friends and he was openly talking about the fl to the friend. I doubt the ml would have been comfortable with the friend if he actually slept with her.
Good that the cheating didn't give a trauma to the ml and he moved on and concentrated on his studies and became what he wanted to be.

The drama is way better than the rating indicates. It's a melodrama and it sticks to the genre. It's good for a binge watch but I understand it would have been frustrating for audience while it was on air since it's very slow paced and none of the characters can be morally right.
Moon ga young looked really pretty in this drama and even though I like yoo Yeon seok he looked way old to play the character. They should have made the character older or cast an actor closer to the character age. Regardless they looked good together.

Qot got 10M in 3 months and LR is already 9M within a month. It's soon gonna surpass it

I won't say his acting in sweet home was really good. It was decent enough at best and even in that the rest of the cast did a better job than him.
My demon had the standard acting for a typical kdrama and actors that are good did a good job like the villains and kim yoo Jung, the grandmother and the side kicks of the leads. For someone who has been acting in lead roles for 3-4 yrs now song kang should be capable enough of giving a decent enough performance which he didn't. At times he was simply vomiting dialogues without any voice modulation or expression change. The only saving grace was that he looked good with kyj and they had good chemistry.
Look at his contemporaries lee do Hyun or Lee jae wook and see how much they have improved over time.
He is 80% looks and 20% acting skills even after acting actively for the last 5-6yrs.

Extraordinary you and true beauty mostly had only teen fans and that was evident but for an entire nation to be going gaga over a drama it definitely need fans from all age group.

I appreciate him for the way he improved his acting skills and not just relay on his looks to get roles. I am someone who used to skip his scenes in record of youth and even in 20th century girl he was just okayish for him. Had no expectations from him when I started LR but the guy surprised me. He improved by miles.

The drama definitely is not as bad as the rating. I think it might have been frustrating to watch while it was on air but binge watching it don't make us feel much dragging.

Just show that they kissed but no proper angle. Just from their back and that's the end 🤣

Don't think she slept with the colleague. He seems to have helped her to get out of the situation all 4 leads are in. He clearly isn't the kind to care about what people think.
