Some people just don't know how to watch a drama according to its genre. Some wants thriller in a melodrama and some wants tragedy in a rom com and some wants realism in fantasy.
Most have zero sense to watch a drama for what it's supposed to be and wants the story to go the way they want it instead of enjoying what's shown to them.
It's one thing to not like what's shown but wanting something entirely different is another story all together.
Some says it lacks logic and then proceeds to say the most illogical things themselves.

After being on mdl for years and reading comments one thing I have understood is that no matter how perfect and well written a female character is, she will never be good enough for a set of viewers in here. Flower of evil literally had that almost perfect female lead but still a set found fault in her and cursed her for asking hurting a guy who has been lying to her the moment they met. That's how much female characters are scrutinized by female viewers and that's just sad and pathetic.
These people will have all the sympathy in the world for male characters even if they are irredeemable villains but dare the fl makes one mistake or is portrayed as a human.

Omg I completely forgot about this drama. Watched the first 4 episodes when it aired and then forgot. Now saw it under the list of dramas that's ending this week.

I wasn't even that much into the villain as well. He just came off as the more interesting one but that's mostly because the rest were down right bad and cringe. He was also dumb enough to blindly believe someone as obvious and dumb as namsoo but since the rest were unbareable he came off better 😂
The only good things that came out of this drama are we got to see min min and Bong bong after so many years and was like a stepping stone to bws's stardom. 20th century girl and this drama made him visible among kdrama watchers and he blew up with LR.

At this point it seems like you have some personal dislike for Lee dong wook.

Just because it's a 6 for you doesn't mean it should be a 6 for everyone else as well and it also don't mean it got above 8 solely because of the actor.
Move to heaven and twinkling watermelon don't have a single actor with a strong fanbase and still have 9+ rating whereas my demon and true beauty which has male leads with crazy fangirls only have 8.3.
8.3 is the avg rating for dramas in mdl. Majority of the dramas with 8.3 rating in mdl are considered average. And anything less than 8 are below average to straight up bad.

I am not sure. I was asking because both the dramas released within 6 months and LR is said to have been in production for 10 months.

The overall storyline isn't difficult to understand. It's the references to some characters and their actions that can be better understood if one knows about Korean folklore. I used to watch it while it was on air and some people here used to explain it and a lot of things made more sense after knowing the backstories of those characters which are not shown in the drama.

If it was so then this drama would have had 8.8 rating like totnt S2 and shop for killers.
8.4 is just the average rating for a watchable good enough drama and isn't considered to be amazing or great.

And months later people will move on and ship them with other actors. It's not that big of a deal.

The director never said hyeyoon is ugly. He only told she needs to take care of her appearance along with her acting and going by sol's look before he replaced the old director, he might have meant she needs to take care of the character styling and not let other people have full control over her styling.
You seems to have some unresolved problem with wooseok it seems. He literally played sunjae perfectly and cha eun woo and other pretty boys should learn from him on how to improve acting skills instead of relying solely on being pretty mannequins.

It's a rom com and it served the rom com well which you also agree. The drama don't claim to be more than that anyway. So how is it overrated? It served what it's supposed to serve and nailed it and people who watched it for what it is loved it.

This drama is so bad that even after my obsession with byeon woo seok after LR, I don't feel the need to finish the last 3-4 episodes. I tried to watch this drama while it was onair only because of the 3 mins cameo by minmin and bongbong and carried to till 11-12 episodes simply because I wanted to finish what I started but didn't find the strength to finish it even after so many months and being obsessed with bws.

After goblin he didn't have a single drama rated below 8 and before goblin be didn't had a single drama rated above 8. Goblin changed his entire career around.
