from the very first episode, HJP's backstory and screentime screamed ML material.. to top it kim seon ho is literally killing it with his acting... his scenes with the grandma is the highlight of the entire drama... he is literally overshadowing everything in the drama and not just dosan...
the simple fact that the sole reason for dosan to fall for dalmi is because she is the first pretty girl who was nice to him is very shallow and unattractive... he also makes his entire dream and future about her just after meeting her for like 2-3 times... it would have been still acceptable if dalmi was being nice and attracted towards him for who he is and being nice to others is part of her character but its not... she wouldn't have given dosan a second look if he was simply a stranger she met.. she was pretty much inconsiderate towards all the guys that showed interest in her... the lead's love story dont have a strong base and the chemistry is also just okay... not bad but not amazing either...

like HJP being more interesting as a character than dosan, i find won in jae to be more attractive than dalmi... i had a wtf moment when dalmi chose HJP over alex as the mentor... she should have kept her personal preferences aside and thought about the company and the guys before choosing the mentor... alex has way more international connections and reach than HJP and the guys want to expand their business internationally... all the guys clearly preferred alex... her risky decisions work only because nam do san is head over heels for her and hjp is supporting her... but since this is kdrama dalmi will be more successful than injae by the end of this drama if they dont end up working together... also, she dropped out of a top university even after her grandmother sold her shop for her higher studies... if she thought practically she could have graduated from a top university, get a stable job, and buy another shop for her grandmother instead of a food truck... a college degree is such an important aspect to get a good job in a country like korea...

i made my point pretty clear with examples and why i understand there are less female characters in dramas like kingdom(netlfix) or movies like 300 and why it is justified to have less female characters in those dramas whereas there is no valid reason for lesser female characters in a drama like untamed with so many major characters... woman can practice night hunting, woman can be clan heads and hold important positions in the world of the untamed but still, they weren't whereas in kingdom women cannot be part of the army or cannot hold important positions in those times... its as clear as it is...
