Hm, I find it interesting how she's potrayed as the strong female lead, but is in need of saving every episode.…
she is the pd of a show that deals with supernatural stuff... so she has theoretical knowledge about supernatural things...

Title Tale of the Nine-Tailed Spoiler
but people dont like that 10%.... almost everyone wants the ML to be heroic and larger than life... kdrama audience…
the only normal male leads who arent rich and has flaws that i can remember of are the male leads from go back couple and backstreet rookie and a lot of people wanted the FL to choose the rich second male lead in both of it...
even with 18 again there are people who wanted the FL to end up with the rich successful male lead eventhough the drama perfectly shows all the sacrifices the ML did for his family...
in all these dramas the male leads were very ordinary family oriented men that were trying hard to make ends meet.. they had flaws and weren't the perfect male leads...

majority of the audience cannot accept characters that dont fall into the typical category... i know people who didnt like the FL from flower of evil just because she was the more career oriented one out of the two and the ML being praised for looking after his own child... i mean the guy was just doing what every fathers should do...
there are also people that dont like the FL if she does the same stuff that MLs in kdramas have been doing for decades ie being arrogant or headstrong...

Title Tale of the Nine-Tailed Spoiler
ah eum offered her body thinking lee yeon will save her and jiah only knows lee yeon said ah eum means nothing…
jiah definitely was ready to hear his side of the story and she still is but lee yeon didnt want her to know... i guess lee yeon needs to come clean to her and tell her everything including the imoogi still being connected to her... she is matured enough to choose what she wants to do... keeping her in the dark will only make things worst for her... she will try to find truth on her own and she will create trouble for herself as she is not aware of what she is up against...

they need to make it clear on how the glasses work... i think option b) is the most logical one... what was the glasses called? i only remeber its called tiger's something...

they are revealing the flashback only in bits and pieces so we have to wait and see...

Title Tale of the Nine-Tailed Spoiler
Except that Lee Yeon already saved her life at least 5 times. If that isn't damsel in distress... Juuuuustttt…
the thing is jiah never did something or acted in a way that put her in danger except for jumping off the building...
she went to the island to do a documentary for her show and to find out why her parents went there... she obviously had no idea that an imoogi is waiting for her... she was simply doing her job...
she went to the funeral prepared but lee rang is the one that broke her red bean bag and put the ghosts behind her back... she just simply went to a colleague's family funeral like everyone else...
she was simply sitting at her office and doing her job when that lady came and trapped her in her fear... again she did literally nothing... she was living her everyday life...
as we all know if she gets out of that trap it will solely because she fought back and won over her fear as lee yeon is with lee rang... she can save herself if the problem has to be dealt with her mind and intelligence instead of any supernatural power... the lady clearly said that the only way to comeout of the trap is by fighting their fears and the snail bride's husband died because he was incapable of fighting his own fear...

even as a child she was smart enough to smell danger and as a kid she tried to save herself as much as possible...
she also saved lee yeon from that fortune teller and that was the only time lee yeon needed her help...

the one with supernatural powers( regardless of the gender) will have to save their human partner against other supernatural powers... the human partner cannot be equal to the supernatural powers unless they have a weapon that can be used against the supernatural being... even if jiah has martial arts skill and can kick 10 people at a time she clearly cannot win over lee rang who can snap her neck in a second... lee rang tried to manipulate her by playing mind games but she fought back at him... the manipulation was something she can overcome and she did...

if you dont like the human partners being helpless physically against supernatural enemies then supernatural shows with romance b/w human and powerful beings is not your kind of drama and you should simply dont watch it... goblin, korean odessey, hotel del luna, my GF is a gumiho, tale of the nine tailed all have human and supernatural being love story and in all the supernatural ones have to save the humans...

Title 18 Again Spoiler
why they dont use the older version of DY in romantic scenes?
the older version was shown when he bought the shoes for her but not when she confessed she missed him in the end and during all the 3 kissing scenes....
also, they show both the older version as well as the younger version of DY and DJ when siah and siwoo were kids... it looks confusing....
they should have kept the younger version of the leads in all the scenes when the kids were smaller and the older version of the leads for all the scenes with teenage siwoo and siah...

HA I thought her neck was gonna break XDI say about 90% of the time, in romance dramas, the male love interest…
but people dont like that 10%.... almost everyone wants the ML to be heroic and larger than life... kdrama audience dont like it when the male lead is portrayed as an ordinary guy with flaws...

Title 18 Again Spoiler
so hear me out guys: i just had this wild thought that the twins is not hong dae young's children when im on ep…
the first basketball scene is done the same way its shown in the movie and even in the movie they didnt show her telling him... even the dialogues are kind of the same... some of the scenes in the drama are a direct rip off from the movie dialogue by dialogue...
they were barely 18 when she got pregnant and thats why both the parents wanted an abortion... its obvious that DY and DJ's future will be affected big time if they become parents at such a young age.. they both had a bright future in front of them if they chose to abort the children. DY could have been a successful sportsman and DJ could have been an anchor... they both were the popular kids at their school...

the kids are 100% his and they are definitely not gonna show her being raped in the past... that will make the show go dark and this one is a light-hearted drama...

in almost all the kdramas nowadays shows the female characters learning self-defense and its mainly to promote the importance of women learning self-defense and learning to save themselves without any help from men... like siah didnt actually needed her childhood friend to defend her in front of ji sung... she was fully capable of doing that herself... she only knew basic self-defense and thats shown when the stalker attacked her... she isnt a pro level fighter...

Except that Lee Yeon already saved her life at least 5 times. If that isn't damsel in distress... Juuuuustttt…
she isnt up against fellow human beings where she can escape with her physical strength... she is up against supernatural beings and no amount of her physical strength can save her... even in hotel del luna the male lead needed the female lead to save him from vengeful ghosts because except for seeing ghosts he didnt had any power to stop them on his own...
she also saved lee yeon from getting disappeared by offering whatever she had... that was the only thing she can do to save him and she did it...
also except for jumping off the building she never put herself in danger willingly... she didnt go to the island to get caught by the shaman, she didnt do anything for the ghost kids to come after her, she got trapped in her fear and she was simply sitting at her office doing her work when that lady came and trapped her in her fear...

what misery did she put anyone in? its not her fault if she is a reincarnation of someone from 600 yrs ago who used to be lee yeon's love and imoogi's bride... its not her fault that her parents went missing... she didnt ask for any of this...
she dont even know that she is connected to imoogi...

I was pushing ep 8 from last week and was loosing interest day by day. Then thought anyway I have wasted more…
ah eum offered her body thinking lee yeon will save her and jiah only knows lee yeon said ah eum means nothing to him and he used her to get imoogi and then jiah sees him killing aheum... when jiah asked for explanation lee yeon again said he was using her... its not her fault if lee yeon dont give her justification on what actually happened... she only knows whats shown to her and all this happened 600 years ago... so its not like she can find the truth on her own... she is still ready to give lee yeon a chance to explain himself...
the glass only shows bits and pieces of what happened in the past and not the entire story...

almost all the flashbacks are shown in the same manner and the main purpose is to show the flashback and not explain the technicality of how the glass works or whether it has replay or pause button... in dramas/movies when a person is shown narrating something that happened in the past, the flashback also shows scenes where the person who tells the story is not present... the purpose is to show the audience the story and not put logic into it...

so true... if they get outed how are they gonna explain it to their children...
he is right now as young as their children and she is a public figure who already has more than enough haters... the kids will have to face the heat as well...

it is getting boring day by day where are the ghost and spirits and the people from the island.
the last episode had ton lots of ghosts trying to eat lee rang... how many more ghosts do you want?
the people from the island is eaten by the imoogi.. he sucks the life out of people to feed himself... that has been made pretty clear in the last 2-3 episodes...

OMG! I'm in episode 2 but I'm sad that the female lead irks me for some reason... I can't see the chemistry between…
except for having gumiho as a lead both the dramas dont have anything in common... both are poles apart... my gf is a gumiho is a full on rom-com with one lead being a supernatural creature... totnt is a romantic fantasy thriller.. much darker and intense that my gf is a gumiho...

go back couple... its form the same director and kind of have similar feel...
comeback ahjussi... its kind of similar with the leads being near their loved ones in a different getup...

i like 18 again and totnt the most... i dont think i will watch startup... might give do do sol sol a try after…
i am thinking of watching zombie detective... its only 12 episodes and have decent enough rating as well...

i like moon ga young even though i have seen her only in exo next door... i was fine with eunwoo as long as he was playing the supporting role in sweet revenge and webseries.. i was even fine with him in gangnam beauty but my patience broke with rookie historian... i can no longer watch a drama with him as the male lead...

its not the main focus so there isnt much of a romance...
the romance is there but it isnt too much considering the drama is half way through and the coming episodes will give more importance to the buildup for imoogi faceoff...
8 episodes in and they both havent really admitted they like each other...
